Chapter 4722: Frightened
“Yes.” The two young disciples responded and rushed forward.
“Rest here!” the elder said to the others.
The two young disciples followed the sound and felt a rush of air before they got close. They glanced at each other and hid behind a large tree before looking forward. What they saw startled them so much that they forgot to hide and even forgot the elder’s orders. They flew forward and cried out in alarm.
“Be careful!”
Hao’er, who was about to attack, glanced at the source of the voice and frowned. He saw the fierce beast at the peak of the sacred beast realm rushing towards him fiercely. He twisted the dagger in his hand, shifted his feet, and immediately rushed forward.
His speed was extremely fast, and the dagger stabbed right at the fatal point of the sacred beast. With his exquisite footwork and precise and strange moves, he hit the fierce beast with one strike. There was a loud roar that shook the entire forest.
“No! That’s a peak sacred beast! They’re in danger!” The elders sensed the fluctuation of pressure and feared that their disciples had angered the fierce beast, so they immediately gathered their energy and rushed toward the sound.
Those who had entered their sect were all disciples from century-old families. This outing was meant to broaden their horizons and give them some practical experience, as they had little opportunity to do so while staying in the sect. However, the prerequisite for this outing was that they had to ensure the safety of their disciples. If anything happened, there would be trouble, as the families behind each disciple were not to be trifled with.
When they arrived at the source of the sound, they saw their two disciples standing motionless to the side. In front of them, a powerful fierce beast was lying on the ground, twitching and gasping for breath. Next to the beast, a small boy dressed in powerful armor was holding a dagger and stabbing the beast repeatedly. Only after the beast was dead did he skillfully dig out its crystal core and inner core.
Even the elder and the middle-aged man were stunned for a moment when they saw this scene. It took them a while to recover, and after watching the little boy put the items away, the elder finally looked at the two young disciples and asked, “What’s going on? Are you guys alright?”
“We’re fine,” the two said after recovering, but their astonished gazes were still fixed on the little boy.
“Elder, there’s no one else around, only this child,” the middle-aged man said in a low voice. He had just released his divine sense to scan the surroundings and found that apart from them, there was only this child. He didn’t seem to see any adults around the child.
Hearing this, the elder took a deep breath, walked forward, and asked, “Child, who are you? How did you get here?”
Hao’er looked at the horns on the head of the fierce beast, preparing to use his dagger to cut them off and take them to the city to exchange for money. When he heard the old man’s voice, he glanced at him, then glanced at the people beside him and behind him, frowned, and said with a cold expression, “Stay away from me.”
Hearing this, everyone was taken aback. They didn’t expect the child to say something like that.
“We are from the Heaven’s Sun Sect. Don’t be afraid, we mean you no harm.” The middle-aged man tugged at the corners of his mouth and smiled, trying hard to look more affable.
