Staring at the braid of mana and Mystic Energy before him, Valyr watched as the white portion of the strand took on his thoughts, gradually taking on the shape of the forging hammer that he had in mind.
Seeing as the blue part of the strand was not affected by his thoughts at all, the young man could not help but feel slightly disappointed, finding out then and there that the relationship between the two energies was purely beneficial towards mana.
Then again, he was already somewhat expecting that outcome, considering that it would be insane if mana were to take on the main property of Mystic Energy.
However, just as he thought that his little experiment was a failure, Valyr immediately noticed something different about the hammer in front of him, pushing the thoughts of dispelling the braid to the side for the meantime.
Then, willing the hammer to move closer to him, it was only then did the young man realized what was different about the hammer.
"Well then. To think something like that happened."
Slowly grinning from ear to ear, Valyr noticed that although it seemed like the mana part of the braid hadn't been affected by Mystic Energy at all, the energy that flowed through it was more or less integrated into the forging hammer.
Wrapping around the forging hammer as if it were a decoration to the handle, Valyr felt the forging hammer slowly consume the mana that was in the blue strand that wrapped around it, causing the young man's eyes to widen as he realized what was going on.
"This... if it is what I think it is... this is way better than I thought it would go."
Taking a brief look at the field of mana and Mystic Energy behind the hammer, Valyr immediately took note of the fact that the forging hammer had not consumed any of the Mystic Energy from the field whatsoever.
Wanting to confirm his suspicions once and for all, the young man proceed to infuse the hammer with the intent of strengthening its properties, only to witness the blue strand around the handle shrinking in response.
"Hahahaha!" Seeing as his suspicions finally confirmed, Valyr let out a cackle filled with glee as he dispelled the forging hammer he'd manifested.
"To think mana would act as a battery of sorts once the two energies are braided..." Muttering these words to himself as he went over what he'd discovered, Valyr felt that the braids in their current state were more than enough for him.
After all, the only problem as to why Valyr felt like he wouldn't be able to use Mystic Energy that often was because he lacked the necessary energy to cause some of his more ambitious thoughts to manifest.
However, with the help of the blue-white braid, he would be able to substitute the energy source of his manifestations with mana, which he had more than enough of thanks to his absurd amount of Prime Azure Energy.
Compared to the braid made with mana and Shadow Energy, Valyr felt that the blue-white braid brought more to him, prompting him to proceed onto the next step of the energy fusion process.
Naturally, it was to refine his control over the braid, as well as the speed at which he conjured them.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Having gotten the knack of forming the braid on his second attempt, it went without saying that Valyr now focused on what he could do to increase the speed at which he conjured the braid.
Whether it be in the manipulation of both mana and Mystic Energy itself, or in the intertwining of the two energies as one entity, the young man made sure to make his actions as efficient as possible while making sure that the braid retained the same level of efficacy.
At the same time, once he was done conjuring the braid, he would then control the braid for a bit, slowly but surely expanding his knowledge on what he can and cannot do with the braid, whether it was to use it as mana or as Mystic Energy.
And thus, time continued to pass, with Valyr continuing to make more and more improvements on both areas.
Eventually, the young man felt like he'd plateaued what he could improve with the braid at the moment, seeing as his Mystic Energy was still at the stage of 1st Cleansing.
'If it was at the stage of 3rd Cleansing, I'd probably be able to push it a bit further,' thought the young man to himself, recalling how much he'd improved his braid of mana and Shadow Energy because of it.
Nevertheless, even though both energies remained at the stage of 1st Cleansing, Valyr felt that he'd improved the potency of the blue-white braid by around 10%, pretty much allowing him to do more with less because of it.
Unfortunately, it still took quite a bit of time for him to conjure the braid itself. Though, it now only took him around five seconds to do it, unlike before where he needed to focus his thoughts for at least half a minute.
Satisfied with the progress he'd made in improving both his control and conjuration speed of the braid, Valyr decided to try and attempt the next step on the energy fusion process.
Which was to actually fuse the two energies together.
'Well, now that I think about it, I'd need to have both energies at 3rd Cleansing first.' Though, just as Valyr was in the midst of psyching himself up for what was possibly a massive power boost, a moment of realization washed over his mind.
'Other than that, I'd also need to have an Intent Seed of Mystic Energy,' inwardly muttered the young man to himself, letting out a sigh as the excitement he felt immediately deflated.
Then again, even though he had yet to fuse the two energies together, he had already made great leaps and bounds on what was possible with Mystic Energy.
Especially when it was connected to a large energy source like mana.
Reminding himself to work on improving the purity of Mystic Energy to 3rd Cleansing once he had the time, Valyr slowly returned his senses back to reality, opening up his chat screen to ask Mystia a question regarding the Intent he needed to comprehend.
However, just as he was in the midst of typing a message to her...
"Hey, Valyr. Get up. It's already the next day."
"Don't you have a meeting to attend?"
