MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith

Chapter 1483 - 1483: Myriad Prodigies: Upgrade Overdue

“…Alright, then.”

Having submitted their recording of what transpired last night to Lunarossa just minutes earlier, Valyr and Ataraxia left the amphitheater with satisfied smiles on their faces.

After getting a good night’s rest, Valyr went ahead and activated [Soul Split] the moment he woke up, sending a message to Lunarossa regarding the recording once he was done with his daily routine.

Unsurprisingly, the director told them to get to the amphitheater as soon as possible after that, which they did.

Once in front of her, the two then brought out two recording crystals in front of her, with one of them being the crystal Lunarossa originally gave them.

Seeing the two recording crystals side by side, the woman soon looked at the two in confusion, prompting both Valyr and Ataraxia to give her a rough explanation of what went on after arriving at the third underground floor.

Although she was pretty much unbothered by the fact that the start of the ritual involved a few hours of incessant sexual acts, Lunarossa’s expression eventually changed the moment the two of them mentioned that she was also part of the Underworld.

Hearing that, she went through the two recording crystals in detail, her expression solemn as she repeated the recordings a few times in a row.

In the end, Lunarossa sincerely thanked them, telling them that the information they’ve obtained on her would be a massive help to the empire.

Of course, she also informed them of the rewards they’d get from accepting her request, only to then bitterly smile as she said it would only be obtainable once the tournament was over.

Though this caused the two to frown at first, when they heard where the reward was coming from, the frowns on their faces slowly disappeared, instead being replaced with anticipation as they faintly wondered what kind of reward it could be.

“So… what do you plan on doing?” With the two of them free to do whatever they want for the next three days, Valyr and Ataraxia walked along the streets of Algerie Kingdom with a somewhat carefree expression.

“Didn’t you say you were planning to stop by the Mage Guild to learn some spells yesterday?”

“I was.” Ataraxia nodded as he shared his thoughts with Valyr. “However, I think it’d be more interesting if I paid a visit to the Blacksmith Guild.”

“Are you planning on picking up blacksmithing?” asked Valyr in return, the thought in his mind vastly different from the one coming out of his mouth. “If you are, I’ll teach you to the utmost of my abilities.”

“I’ll just watch from the side.” Ataraxia faintly smiled.

“…If you say so.” Shrugging his shoulders as he nodded in return, Valyr went ahead and sent a message to Julian through chat after that, only to receive a response from the man not even a minute later.

Reading through the message he got, a faint smile appeared on his face as he looked at Ataraxia, who took it as a sign for them to make their way to the Blacksmith Guild.

Naturally, as the two of them shared the same thoughts, the conversation they had thus far was just a cover-up for what they actually planned on doing in the Blacksmith Guild.

Although Ataraxia was indeed paying a visit to the guild, their true purpose in heading there had something to do with the battle Valyr fought with Erika.

And that was to finally upgrade his True Wyvern Armor to the next tier.

“I’m so glad you decided to visit the Blacksmith Guild, Ataraxia!”

Arriving at the Blacksmith Guild together, both Valyr and Ataraxia were left at a slight loss for words after seeing Julian greet them at the entrance alongside a few of the guild’s staff.

Feeling a hint of secondhand embarrassment for the middle-aged man, the two hastily brought the group inside, only to be swarmed by blacksmiths the moment they arrived at the main hall.

Fortunately, before the blacksmiths could overwhelm the two any further, Julian showcased his prestige and authority as the guild master of the kingdom’s Blacksmith Guild, allowing the two to head towards the private workshops without anyone else bothering them.

“I suppose you’re planning to teach your student the art of blacksmithing?” asked Julian as they arrived at one of the vacant workshops.

“…Something like that,” replied Valyr, giving the man a polite smile. “I’m assuming you want me to complete a quota while I’m here?”

“Oh, not at all.” Julian hastily shook his head. “You’re participating in the tournament, after all. Wouldn’t want to become the target of hate once the third round arrives.”

“However, I do have a favor to ask of you.”

“…Does it involve being allowed to watch me work?” asked Valyr in return, remembering the previous times Julian made such requests.

Surprisingly, the man shook his head at the question. “It’s more of an offer, actually.”

“Byron is actually looking to recruit assistants for a few special weapons the empire is requesting from the guild,” he continued. “He mentioned that one of the weapons was based off the arquebus you shared with the Imperial Production Guild.”

“Really?” Valyr raised his eyebrow at those words. “If I accept, when do I need to be there?”

“The latest you can arrive is three months from now,” replied Julian, understanding that he had piqued the young man’s interest. “Of course, Byron also knows you’re participating in the tournament, so no rush. He’s actually rooting for you, even.”

Pondering over the offer for a bit, Valyr eventually gave the man a firm nod. “If you could tell Sir Byron that I’d be glad to work as an assistant, that would be great.”

“I’ll let him know.” Julian grinned, finally leaving the two off to their own devices.

Heading inside the workshop they’d be occupying for the next three days, Valyr went ahead and took off the armor set he was wearing while Ataraxia made himself comfortable on the side.

Taking out the main materials needed to upgrade the armor from his spatial bracelet, he then asked one of the guild’s staff to bring the other materials he needed for the upgrade, which surprisingly only took a couple of hours to arrive.

After separating the materials according to the amount needed for each part, Valyr glanced at Ataraxia for a bit before asking.

“You think I could upgrade the entire armor set in three days?”
