Chapter 4374: Hiding

I looked at the core sliding down my body before it turned to ashes.

A moment later, the same thing happened with the body and all the gore that spread around me.

I even burned the earth where the drop fell. I don’t want even a single drop of her blood to infect the earth or, titans forbid, eaten by the monster.

It affects things; there are cases of monsters turning into aberrants by eating the flesh of the cultists.

Once it was done, I covered myself with the stealth move.

Roar Roar!

It took only a few seconds before I heard the roars from the monsters. They have reached the place, and since I burned the body, they are now searching for me.

There are a couple of monsters there that could give me a challenge, and I wouldn’t want to be found out by them.

They wouldn’t be able to kill me, but they would waste my time, and who knows, it might attract the eyes of the truly powerful monster, something I didn’t want to happen.

There are powerful monsters here that could kill me within seconds.

I would rather not come across them, much less fight them.

Hun!

I was thinking those thoughts when I sensed the powerful monsters. At most, I would last in front of it for a few minutes at most.

Immediately, I stopped and lay against the tree before activating stealth at full power.

This will now be the real test of my stealth. If it failed, I would try something I only planned to do after all the tests were over.

ROAR!

It didn’t take long for the monster to arrive, and it let out a massive roar filled with power.

It froze the monsters for a moment before all of them started to run away. However, one unfortunately couldn’t, and the wolf leaped at it.

A moment later, it was under claws.

The hare struggled, but the difference between their strength was too great. It was powerless against the wolf.

The wolf watched it struggle for a few seconds before taking the bite.

It struggled hard, but as time passed and the wolf took more bites, its struggle became weaker and weaker till all the struggle vanished.

Not long after that, its life.

I am surprised, not by this; I have seen it thousands of times. Nature is brutal. I

I am surprised because I thought the monster would search for me first, but it is busier on satiating its hunger.

Finally, it finished and turned its bloody snout in the air. took the whop and moved toward the battlefield. Appearing there within seconds.

It sniffed further and came toward my direction. Seeing that, my heart skipped a beat.

I readied all my options, including the fight. It would be terrible if it came to that option, but I would do everything to survive against it.

It stopped when there were only a few miles of distance between and turned.

I wanted to fall down in relief, but it was not over; the monster was moving and sniffing. Till it continued to do that and remained in rage, I couldn’t let myself feel relieved.

Seconds passed, and then another until a minute passed, but the monster kept sniffing in search of me.

It had now come close enough that I could see it with my eyes. I could only see a small part of it due to the tree, but I could see its huge size and dark grey silky fur.

Minutes passed and, in that time, the monster kept sniffing. Coming closer to me and far while I watched in fear.

ROAR!

It was at the nineteenth minute the monster stopped and roared in what seemed like frustration before moving away at the blurring speed.

I could see the relief flooding into the bodies of the monsters. The same thing is happening to me.

Soon, the monster left my range, but I didn’t dare to move from my place even then. It took me some time before I took a deep breath and stepped out of the tree’s shadow.

The monsters went back to their business like nothing had happened; right now, they are fighting for the carcass of the hare monster.

I glanced at them one last time before moving with the full stealth.

I kept it at full power till I got away quite far before lowering it.

I didn’t want to, feeling the monster could return at any moment, but I knew it was irrational and forcefully made the rational decision.

An hour passed, and then another; I didn’t come across any person or even sense their presence.

Given the size of the realm, I was quite lucky to come across Rehna. These people are spread across the realm; a few come close to the day’s distance from the village.

I wonder what made her come so close, but I didn’t think about it much.

I had killed her; it’s such regret that aside from the bag of resources, she didn’t have anything. It would be great if she had the core storage.

This realm is filled with resources; one could gather a massive amount of them in the spam of decades, and most of these people here are for decades.

Soon, it was evening, and I felt the energies getting denser.

It didn’t get more than 15% denser than the day, but still, the night here is dangerous.

I looked at the square ring; the tests are really finished. I would need around an hour, before I will have all the data, I will need.

So, I kept moving, and soon, it became fully dark, with more powerful monsters coming out.

I reduced my speed to half after sensing a couple of powerful monsters. They are dangerous, and I would rather not take the risks.

Soon, an hour and a half passed when I finally stopped.

A moment later, a small ball appeared in my hand, which I released. It seeped into the ground, and a second after that, the door appeared in front of me.

Yes, most spatial constructs couldn’t operate here. The focus is on most.

My abode could; the data I had collected proved it.

Though I still needed to make some changes to it, and until I am fully sure, I wouldn’t be using it for a longer time, than twelve hours, but even that is huge.
