"Did you sleep well? Are you hungry? Are you sore? Shall I call for an Eastern Medicine doctor and have him prepare some concoction for you? Do you feel little kicks? How is our bun? Is it rising, baking, or just flat?" He asked her a series of questions with a straight and serious expression.
Zhao Lifei paused. Then she burst out laughing at how adorable he was behaving. She squeezed her arms out of his iron-grip and used them to wrap her hands behind his head. "You’re so cute, my nagging wife." She blissfully said. "I slept too good for it to be real, what about you?"
"My sleep doesn’t matter, yours does. How’s your hunger level? Does it hurt anywhere? Shall I have someone schedule an appointment with an OB-GYN? Nevermind, you shouldn’t go anywhere. I’ll bring them to you."
"Pft!" Zhao Lifei tried her hardest to not laugh at his words. "You’re so sweet, I love you so much." She squeezed his cheek when he lifted his head to look at her in dismay, eagerly waiting for her to answer his question. "For the record, your sleep does matter. You have so many dark circles under your eyes, the panda called and wants them back." She pinched his cheek again. "As for your other questions, I am indeed sore and hungry. It has been one night since we’ve consummated our marriage, so the chances of a baby are very low right now. Come back in three weeks and we’ll see."
Yang Feng nodded his head and made a mental note to have an OB-GYN visit her in three weeks. "How sore?"
"A bit, but not as unbearable as I thought it would be." She innocently said, unaware that his hands were slipping under her shirt to grab her hips.
"In that case..." He smirked, tossing his boxers aside. Her eyes widened. She opened her mouth to say something, but he sealed the words inside and kissed her as if his life depended on it. Her tense body relaxed as she melted against him. Their bodies were intimately pressed against each other and he could feel her perfectly through the thin shirt she wore.

"H-how many days do you plan on confining me to our bed?" Zhao Lifei groaned. She was lethargic, for one round turned into three so early in the morning. She had repeatedly screamed and whimpered his name as he filled her completely. He didn’t even seem apologetic about it when she begged for mercy from the incredible pleasure he was giving her.
"As long as possible." He grinned, buttoning his shirt and sleeves while sitting on the edge of their bed. He was sporting a pair of her cuff links that she had given him a while back. She wanted to pout and wish he would stay in bed with her all day, but that wouldn’t be fair to him and his packed schedule. She knew all she had to do was ask and he would stay without a second thought. However, she kept her opinion to herself and resorted to lying on her side and watching him get ready.
"I also have work, you know." She huffed, attempting to sit up, but he pushed her back down and brought the blankets back up to her chin.
"You, my love, need some rest. Forget about your work for now." Yang Feng seldomly ordered her, but when he did, he left no room for any arguments. After their passionate and loud love-making, he had wiped her clean and helped her change into another one of his shirts.
Zhao Lifei checked the minimalist wooden clock on her nightstand and saw that it was still early in the morning, eight o’clock to be exact. She supposed she could sleep an hour or more. When he left for work, she would have the freedom to do as she pleased. For example, tackling the mountain of work she had yet to finish.
"I know what you’re thinking." He told her, knocking on her forehead. "You’re not sneaking off to work today. You need to rest." He commanded in a stern voice. But his actions contrasted against his words, for he was tucking her into bed like a henpecked husband.
"But I’m not that tired." She huffed, missing the way his eyes darkened.
"Really now?" His voice dropped an octave, dripping with lust and seduction. He grabbed the top of his tie and took it off, flinging it onto the floor.
Zhao Lifei’s eyes widened, her body heating up in anticipation of what he would do to her. "It seems I have not loved you enough this morning." He huskily said, unbuttoning his shirt and taking off the cuff links.
"Don’t worry, my love. I’ll do it properly this time." She yelped when he slipped into the blankets and grabbed her waist. His lips crashed upon hers, thrusting his tongue into her mouth, and sealing any surprised gasps. She moaned when his hands inched lower, his powerful fingers spreading her legs apart as his thumb pressed into the sensitive and ticklish skin of her inner thighs.

Zhao Lifei was deep asleep after their very thorough and pleasurable morning. They had gone for an additional round and that seemed to have worked like a charm for she fell asleep right after reaching her climax.
Yang Feng fluffed her pillow with a satisfied expression on his face. Thinking about her exquisite expression: eyes squeezed shut and her appetizing lips that parted to let out her cries of pleasure, he was instantly turned on again, a large tent gathering in front of him. He cleared his throat and decided to take a cold shower after all. He thought he wouldn’t need another cold morning shower after connecting their bodies, but it seemed his excited friend had different ideas in mind.
Trudging into the shower, he did his thing and came out freshly showered. He changed into a different set of clothes, but still wore one of her cuff-links. Just like he did for her, she was secretly and sneakily slipping different pairs of cuff-links into his wardrobe occasionally. Every week, he would find himself with at least fourteen assortments of it.
He smiled to himself and shook his head at his attentive little wife. He wished time would stand still and that he could enjoy these happy moments a little bit longer.
Yang Feng made his way downstairs, his gait powerful as usual, his frame large and refined. His long legs easily maneuvered towards the entrance where the servants were already lined up, ready to greet him off.
"Have an amazing day, Master." They all said in unison, bowing as low as they could whilst still standing.
Yang Feng didn’t acknowledge any of them or spare them a glance. The Old Butler opened the door and he was prepared to step out, but paused. "Ensure the Madam does not leave the mansion. She is to stay in bed. A walk in the garden is fine, but she must be accompanied by a blanket and maid."
"Yes, Master." The Old Butler attentively said with a ripping, aged voice. He had a very friendly and gentle face, the same ones that almost all elderly people possessed. It was a good facade to hide his murderous abilities. In his youth, he was a famed fighter and assassin who had actively served the Yangs, just like his ancestors had done.

A woman sat down on the living room couch, a Swarovski glass filled with wine in her hands. She took a sip of the sweet, but bitter alcohol that mimicked her heart. In her other hand was a picture of a couple in a compromising picture. She expected this behavior from him, but even so, her heart was clouded with evil intents. Her innocent eyes were ignited with the desire to kill.
Once a cheater always a cheater. The words of Zhao Lifei rang through her mind. Xia Mengxi could still recount the day Zhao Lifei cursed her to hell and back with these words.
A bubble of delirious giggles escaped from Xia Mengxi’s smudged lipstick mouth. Was it from the glass or was it from a man? One couldn’t tell from the empty bottles that sat beside her feet. She realized why Zhao Lifei used to drink herself stupid. Alcohol could make one forget their pain and sorrow, even if it was just for a fleeting moment.
Xia Mengxi knew she would one day face her demise if she could not please Zheng Tianyi long enough. She wondered why exactly he fell in love with her. Was it because she was good at the push and pull game? Or was it because she used to be the source of every woman’s envy?
To many men, her innocence and seemingly little-to-no desire to scheme was something that was thoroughly appreciated in the upper-class society. Her easy-going and demure behavior lowered the guard of men who always found themselves relaxed and at ease around her. This was exactly what happened to Zheng Tianyi. Because she was a mere commoner, she did not pose any potential threats to anyone, thus, Zheng Tianyi was free to be his true self around her.
Xia Mengxi gritted her teeth and smiled. She was not going to be foolish like every housewife who found their husband in a compromising position with their man-robbing secretary. She stared at the picture of Chen Xing and Zheng Tianyi. She stood up and tossed the picture into the fireplace, watching it burn into crisps.
She vowed to never behave like her mother. Unlike other women, Xia Mengxi would not make a mess or throw a tantrum. It would only push Zheng Tianyi further away.
Her eyes trailed around the unfamiliar house with its unfamiliar windows, curtains, door, and bedrooms. She was unaccustomed to this house, but it was as equally grand as the one she and Zheng Tianyi had lived in. Her eyes lingered near the doorway, lingering on the leather dress shoes and a large coat hanging by the foyer. She smiled to herself and grabbed her phone, deciding it was time to place her best card down.
