Upon hearing this, both Aisha and Jones immediately turned their heads. A sweet smile appeared on Aisha’s face as soon as her eyes landed on Yuan’s charming face.
‘This young man… did he just call Lady Valeria ‘Auntie’? That means… he is Lady Anna Grace’s son and the young master of our clan!’ Jones thought to himself, his eyes widening in surprise. A moment later, excitement surged within him.
“Yuan! My dear nephew! I thought you had forgotten about your dear aunt, but I guess I was wrong,” Aisha said with a seductive smile before standing up from the sofa and leaping toward Yuan with open arms.
Yuan smiled and opened his arms to catch his beautiful aunt. As soon as she landed in his embrace, he wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly.
Aisha gazed at him with a bright smile before planting a kiss on his cheek. Even after he set her down, he kept his arms around her, unwilling to let go just yet.
“Why wouldn’t I show up after making a promise to you? And besides, there’s no way I could ignore an invitation from a beautiful woman,” Yuan chuckled before finally releasing her.
“You certainly have a sweet tongue, dear… No wonder you managed to woo so many beautiful women. Fufu…” Aisha giggled softly, then kissed his cheek once again, making Yuan smile.
‘I was right! He really is Lady Anna Grace’s son… Yuan.’ Jones let out a small smile as he observed the scene. ‘However, I never expected Lady Aisha to act this way around him. They seem to be very close.’
Aisha, still smiling, took Yuan’s hand and pulled him toward the sofa. “Come sit beside me. I’ll introduce you to Uncle Jones.”
“Alright.” Yuan nodded and sat close to her. Aisha immediately hugged his arm, her smile never fading.
Turning to Jones, Aisha introduced him with a small smile. “This handsome young man beside me is Yuan, my nephew and Big Sister Anna Grace’s son.”
Then, looking at Yuan, she continued, “And this gentleman here is Uncle Jones. He’s my mother’s butler.”
Jones’s face lit up with a warm smile. “I’m honored to finally meet you, Young Master Yuan. Madam Angela will be overjoyed to see you—her grandson.” His voice carried barely contained excitement, despite his effort to maintain his composure.
“Likewise, Uncle Jones,” Yuan responded with a nod and a smile before turning his attention back to the warmth of his aunt’s company.
Jones stood up from his sofa and ordered the servants to prepare tea, instructing them to bring the highest-quality tea and snacks.
Meanwhile, Aisha held Yuan close, her heart rate subtly increasing as she felt his back pressed against her chest. A dazed expression crossed her face, but she made no effort to move away.
After giving his orders, Jones returned to his seat, his gaze lingering on Yuan. There was something undeniably mysterious about him. Frowning slightly, he activated his magic sense, scanning Yuan’s body carefully.
‘This is strange…’ Jones’s expression shifted into one of surprise. ‘I can’t sense any Magic Power from him at all. It’s as if… he doesn’t possess any magic.’
“Young Master Yuan,” Jones finally spoke, his tone laced with curiosity. “I’ve been observing you for quite some time now, but I can’t detect any Magic Power from your body. Are you concealing it?”
Yuan met Jones’s questioning gaze with a calm smile. “No, I simply don’t have any mana or magic power in my body. That’s all there is to it.”
“What?!” Jones abruptly stood up, his face a mix of shock and disbelief.
‘How can that be possible? He reeled at the revelation. How could he be so incredibly strong without any Magic Power? This makes no sense at all!’
Aisha, however, remained unbothered, a knowing smile playing on her lips. She was already well aware that Yuan and his wives—along with her elder sister, Anna Grace—did not possess Magic Power.
‘Even so,’ she mused with pride, ‘it’s still astonishing how powerful Yuan is despite lacking Magic Power. He can fly effortlessly, his body is unbelievably strong, and his attacks are devastating.’ Hugging him tightly, she relished the gentle warmth of his body.
Jones, on the other hand, couldn’t take his eyes off Yuan. His mind refused to accept what he had just heard. ‘No human should be able to reach such ridiculous levels of strength without relying on Magic Power to enhance their body.’
A few minutes later, the servants entered, carrying trays of tea and snacks. As they began serving, the rich, fragrant aroma of freshly brewed tea filled the room.
“This tea smells wonderful. I bet it tastes just as good,” Yuan said, lifting the cup to his nose. Inhaling deeply, a pleased smile spread across his face.
“Indeed. This tea is one of the finest in the world, and it’s quite rare as well,” Aisha nodded with a smile before taking a small sip.
She then picked up a cookie, bringing it close to Yuan’s mouth with a sweet smile. “Here, try this. It must be delicious—it pairs well with the tea.”
Yuan couldn’t possibly refuse when a beauty was offering to feed him, could he? Without hesitation, he opened his mouth and took a generous bite of the cookie before sipping his tea.
A few minutes later, Aisha hugged him tightly again, pulling him even closer before speaking in a soft, enticing voice. “Yuan, how about becoming the young master of our clan? You’d instantly become the talk of the entire continent overnight. What do you say?”
“Nah. I’ll pass. That’s not my kind of thing.” Yuan refused without a second thought, his expression completely unbothered.
His response caught Aisha and Jones completely off guard. They stared at him in disbelief, utterly dumbfounded by his straightforward rejection of such a prestigious position.
“What?! Why wouldn’t you want to be the young master?” Aisha exclaimed, looking at him as if she had just seen a cow climb a tree. “Do you have any idea how many people would kill for this opportunity? And you’re just throwing it away like it’s nothing? Unbelievable!”
Yuan let out a small sigh before resting his head on her lap. “I have other goals,” he said calmly. “I’m searching for something—a pathway, to be exact. Our kind isn’t meant to stay in this world forever. At a certain point, our strength will stop growing.”
He paused for a moment before continuing, his gaze distant yet determined. “What we seek is immortality. To split the heavens and divide the seas with a single swing of a sword. To cut the moon in half with one strike.” A faint smile appeared on his lips as he looked up at Aisha.
“Split the heavens… divide the seas… with a sword?” Aisha muttered in a daze. His words sounded impossible—yet, at the same time, they felt incredibly profound. She couldn’t even begin to imagine someone possessing such overwhelming power.
“There’s no way a human could ever reach that level,” Jones said with a sigh, shaking his head. “Immortality? That’s just a fairy tale, nothing more.”
Yuan remained silent, unwilling to reveal anything about cultivation.
Seeing his silence, Jones chose not to press further, but he couldn’t shake the feeling that Yuan knew something beyond his comprehension.
‘The way he spoke… it’s as if he’s completely certain that he can achieve immortality.’ Jones frowned slightly, his thoughts clouded with uncertainty. ‘Could it be that I’m just imagining things? Or… does he truly know something we don’t?’
—
“We’re here… The Imperial City of the Lionheart Empire. At last, we’re about to get our hands on the treasure.” A seductive woman muttered, her lips curling into a wide grin as she gazed at the massive city before her.
“This will be fun—stealing that treasure right under the Emperor’s nose, and from the Ten Great Families no less.” Her eyes gleamed with excitement as she set her sights on a massive stadium in the distance.
“Let’s commence the operation!” she declared, her voice filled with unwavering confidence.
“Understood, Commander Darlene! We will definitely succeed!”
The five individuals standing behind her, their faces concealed by golden skull masks, nodded eagerly, their bodies practically radiating anticipation.
Darlene’s smile darkened as anger flickered in her eyes. “Now, let’s retrieve the treasure as quickly as possible… and make the Emperor pay for slaughtering our men! That bastard Yuan as well—he’ll regret making an enemy of our organization!” Her voice dripped with venom, her fury boiling beneath the surface.
Then, without warning, their figures distorted, vanishing into thin air without leaving a single trace behind.
Meanwhile, inside the grand stadium, Lady Teressa stood before an eager audience, her charming smile effortlessly commanding their attention. Before her, resting atop a lavish display table, was a radiant silver shield—its brilliance capturing the gaze of every spectator.
“This, ladies and gentlemen, is the Silver Dragon Shield—a Legendary-grade treasure imbued with the Holy attribute,” she announced, her voice carrying throughout the arena.
Gasps of admiration filled the air.
She continued, her eyes gleaming, “Not only does this shield possess extraordinary defensive capabilities, but it also grants its wielder a remarkable ability—to increase their strength tenfold.”
The crowd erupted in excitement, their eyes burning with desire for such a priceless artifact.
“But that’s not all.” Lady Teressa gestured toward the shield, allowing a dramatic pause to build suspense. “The Silver Dragon Shield is capable of blocking even a Saint-tier magic attack—whether it comes from a true Magic Saint or someone of even higher standing. And despite its incredible power, it remains astonishingly lightweight.”
The stadium buzzed with awe, the atmosphere electric with anticipation.
