And when the Creator saw that Elias was not transforming, he said to him: “I see that you still love your husband very much, even after all these millennia and without your bond, it’s amazing.”
Elias then said to him, clenching his fists: “There is nothing surprising about that, Miguel has always been the only one I loved and he will remain the only one, I will love him forever.”
Elias finally relaxed when he felt Miguel’s pain diminishing and he asked the Creator: “What did you do to my husband?”
The Creator said to him: “You know the rules, Elias, I am not allowed to side with one side more than another, so you will have to fight this war without my help my friend.
But, I have left a little gift for your husband that should be very useful to you.
If the Cradle of Magic is contaminated by impure energy, then your husband will have to change his heart before it is completely contaminated.
But before he can do that, you’ll have to destroy these two scepters, otherwise it will be pointless, and the new heart of the Cradle of Magic will be contaminated too.”
Elias frowned and said hurriedly because he could sense that the Creator was about to leave: “The Cradle of Magic told Miguel to use the pentagram of one of the scepters to open a portal to go there, if I have to destroy the scepters, how will Miguel get there.”
The Creator smiled at him and said: “Making you the God of War was the best decision I have ever made in my life, everything will go well, don’t worry.
The new generation will be even more powerful than the last one, and with your guidance, I’m confident that peace will once again reign in this universe and last throughout its new evolution.”
The Creator then summoned a medallion in front of Elias who took it without hesitation and he said to him before disappearing: “My friend, your husband is now officially the Guardian of the Cradle of Magic of your universe, I just gave him a full access to it.”
He then added: “If one day both of you become powerful enough to travel across the universes… Come to see me, my medallion will lead you to me.”
Elias widened his eyes after hearing this and the Creator suddenly disappeared.
The golden aura and runic symbols disappeared from Axel’s body and he collapsed, unconscious.
Mykael was the faster to stop his son from crashing to the ground and when Kevin reached them, he immediately answered the silent question he could see in Mykael’s eyes: “Our link has been restored, he is simply exhausted, he should regain consciousness soon.”
Colin who had joined them and who was still using the knowledge of the Priest said to them: “Let me give him back some Divine energy, he should be fine after that.”
Kevin immediately stepped back to give Colin the space he needed to help Axel, and since his Stage 2 warrior spirit was still activated and Axel had linked their energy together, he could clearly see that Colin was directing this golden veil that represented the Divine energy directly into his energy reserve.
Less than a minute later Axel opened his eyes again and he was reassured to see that Kevin, his father and Colin were all okay, he asked them curiously: “What happened?”
They all then turned to Elias and Miguel and Kevin told him: “We’re not sure yet…”
Elias had knelt down next to Miguel and everyone was looking at them with concern.
The Warrior Spirits were not used to seeing Miguel in this state, for them he was invincible… no matter how many of them attacked him during training, he was never hurt, and he always beat them easily.
So, even Glen dared to ask Elias: “General, how is Miguel?”
Elias looked up and saw the worried looks on the faces of their men and it warmed his heart, he said to reassure them: “Don’t worry, the pain is diminishing and Miguel should soon be able to stand up again, he won’t have any after-effects, you can all rest assured, he is fine.”
They all breathed a sigh of relief as they were all aware that without Elias to guide them in battle and without Miguel to protect them in the shadows, they wouldn’t be able to win this war.
If most of their enemy didn’t know who Miguel was it was for a good reason, most of the time it was simply because they didn’t need him to complete a mission.
And the other reason was that the missions Miguel was doing with Tarik, Malo, Lanis and Glen were top secret and no one could ever detect them.
And if they all went headlong into battle without fear it was only because they knew that Elias and Miguel would be there to intervene if anything went wrong.
As the pain subsided, Miguel felt a surge of power run through him and as the same aura that had surrounded Yelena earlier now surrounded him, forcing Elias to back away, he stood up and pulled off his shirt.
Elias swore immediately because Miguel never normally undressed in public and he liked to be the only one to enjoy this perfect body, but he swore again when he realized why Miguel had done this.
A huge pentagram then appeared on his body.
It started in the middle of his torso and went all the way to his belly button and it was shiny and changing color like the aura around him.
Miguel then looked him in the eye and said to him: “I can feel it, the Cradle of Magic, I’m connected to it.”
Miguel, just to make sure he understood what the Creator wanted from him, tried to teleport directly to the room where the heart of the Cradle of Magic was located, and he immediately disappeared from the prison dimension.
