My Werewolf System

Chapter 1415: Not One Gets Away

Chapter 1415: Not One Gets Away

The Werewolf that Austin had pinned to the ground didn’t scream, snarl, or beg. It just smiled.

A smug, defiant grin.

It was clear, it wasn’t going to talk so easily.

“So you’re not going to speak?” Austin muttered, narrowing his eyes. “Well, let’s see how long you can keep that up.”

With one hand, he hoisted the Werewolf’s body off the ground like a ragdoll. The muscles in his arm barely strained as he swung it overhead and hurled it straight into the approaching enemies.

The limp body smashed into a small group of Werewolves, and the result was brutal. Bones cracked, both from the weaponized body and the ones it collided with. The impact sent some tumbling to the ground, wheezing and dazed.

Without pausing, Austin picked the same Werewolf back up and slammed it into the ground with thunderous force. He repeated the motion, again and again, until dust rose with every strike.

Then, breathing heavily, he finally let go of the body, glancing at it with a cold stare.

“Well,” Austin grunted. “I’m not sure if he can still talk or not… but maybe the next one of you won’t be so stubborn.”

With that, Austin kicked off from the dirt and targeted another enemy.

He moved fast, faster than his massive frame should’ve allowed, and grabbed the next Werewolf by the back of the head, dragging its face down and slamming it into the earth so hard the ground split beneath the impact.

The others froze for a second.

They didn’t know what to do, should they abandon their ally? Should they all focus their attack on Austin and hope numbers would be enough?

But even that seemed like a gamble. The Howlers and Altered around Austin were still active. They hadn’t even joined the fight in full force yet.

It was becoming painfully clear to the Werewolves.

This was a fight they had already lost.

Austin glared down at the Werewolf now squirming in his grip. Steam hissed from his nostrils, bathing the creature’s face in heat.

“Are you going to tell me what that crap was you mentioned earlier?” Austin growled.

The Werewolf’s eyes widened in real fear. He could feel Austin’s grip tightening, his thick fingers pressing into his skull. There was a cracking sound, deep, terrifying, and the pain was unbearable.

“There’s… there’s another wave!” the Werewolf shouted, reverting back into his human form out of pure fear. “We’re waiting for reinforcements! They, they’ve got beast gear, and they’re stronger than us! That’s who we were talking about!”

His voice trembled. “They should be arriving soon… That’s all I know, I swear it!”

“What?!” Austin barked.

His fingers tightened before he even realized it, and the Werewolf’s body went limp. He hadn’t meant to kill him, not this time, but the shock of what he’d heard made his instincts act first.

This was no longer just a simple skirmish.

This was an ambush, with a second wave of stronger Werewolves inbound. And Gary… Gary wouldn’t know. None of the others would. They were all locked in their own battles, heads down, unaware of what was heading their way.

“If this second wave hits the hilltop, if they break through…” Austin clenched his fists. “There’s no way those kids survive it.”

He had no choice. He needed to end this, fast.

Austin’s body began to shrink, but not to his human form. Instead, it condensed into a refined, powerful hybrid, his minotaur’s humanoid form. The massive horns on his head coiled back, curving sleekly along his shoulders.

With a roar, he slammed his fist into the ground. The earth cracked, and a massive chunk of it lifted up, slamming into a Werewolf that had been preparing to charge.

Austin dashed forward. In one swift motion, he punched another directly in the gut. The force was so brutal, blood burst from the Werewolf’s mouth as he crumpled.

Then, the horns on Austin’s back extended, spiraling out like living weapons. They wrapped around two more enemies beside him, coiling tightly and locking their bodies in place.

He pulled them in and smashed both their heads into the ground simultaneously.

There was no slowing down.

A group of Werewolves turned to flee, but Austin’s horns straightened and rose over his head. Sparks crackled between the tips like charged wires.

As he charged, a portal shimmered into existence before him, created by the Howlers’ support team. He entered without hesitation, and a moment later, the portal reopened, right in front of the fleeing Werewolves.

They barely had time to register what was happening before Austin burst through, his horns spearing into two of them mid-run.

He skidded to a halt, and the momentum caused the impaled Werewolves to slide off his horns, their bodies hitting the ground hard and tumbling across the dirt.

“I’m not letting a single one of you get away,” Austin muttered. “I need to clear this area as quickly as possible.”

He couldn’t hold back anymore.

He had hoped to conserve his strength for a potential rematch with Lupus or any of the other Ironfang elites. But with the second wave approaching, that plan was dead.

Austin unleashed everything.

And when it was over, when the dust had settled, not a single enemy was left standing.

Out of the sixty or so Werewolves who had attacked…

None remained.

“I… I never realized how strong Austin had gotten,” Vere whispered, watching the destruction unfold before her.

“He’s one of the core members,” Vlad replied, calm but respectful. “And he’s been through a lot… every time the Kings showed up, he fought. Every single time. Of course he’s grown this much.”

Austin climbed to the top of the hill, scanning the area. His eyes landed on a nearby motorcycle. It wasn’t his usual ride, but it would do.

“Austin! Where are you going?” Vere called out.

Austin gripped the handlebars.

“I’m going to stop their advance,” he said. “There’s a second wave coming, and I won’t wait around for it to hit.”
