Myth Beyond Heaven

Chapter 2621: Divine Phoenix Ancestral Realm (1)

The Divine Phoenix, Feng Yu, stood at the edge of the vast expanse, her phoenix eyes gazing upon a distant, tiny star, its crimson glow a faint flicker in the cosmic darkness. This was the Northern Expanse, a desolate region at the very edge of the Primal Chaos, a place where stars were sparse, and the void stretched endlessly in all directions.

And that tiny red star, barely visible to the naked eye, was her destination, the place she had been searching for countless years-the Divine Phoenix Ancestral Ground.

"Found it," she murmured to herself.

A wave of sorrow washed over her as she gazed upon the dilapidated state of her ancestral home. Once, it had been a magnificent realm, a vibrant world teeming with life and energy, the heart of the Divine Phoenix Clan, a place of unparalleled beauty and power.

Now, it was a wasteland, a barren husk of its former glory, its once-lush forests reduced to ash, its majestic mountains crumbled into dust, its crystal-clear rivers dried up into cracked earth. The vibrant energy that had once pulsed through the realm was gone, replaced by a desolate silence, a chilling emptiness that spoke of a tragedy long past.

The Primordial War, the cataclysmic conflict that had ravaged the Primal Chaos eons ago, had left its mark on the Divine Phoenix Ancestral Ground, shattering its foundations,

extinguishing its life force, reducing it to a shadow of its former glory.

Feng Yu closed her eyes, her heart heavy with sorrow and regret. The memory of the glory days of the past flashed across her mind like a movie.

A moment later, she opened her eyes, her gaze fixed on the distant red star. With a flash, she appeared above the sky of the star. Her gaze swept over the ruined terrain, searching for any sign of life, any flicker of hope.

Unfortunately, there was nothing. Only dust, ash, and the ghosts of a forgotten past.

Feng Yu landed on a cracked, barren plain, her talons digging into the parched earth. She closed her eyes, her senses reaching out, trying to connect with the lingering essence of the Divine Phoenix, to find a spark of life that might still remain.

And then, she felt it. A faint flicker, a whisper of energy, hidden deep beneath the surface, a spark of hope that refused to be extinguished.

She opened her eyes, her gaze fixed on a small, withered tree, its branches bare, its trunk gnarled and twisted. But within its core, she could sense a faint pulse of life, a spark of the Divine Phoenix's essence, a testament to the resilience of her ancestors.

Without a doubt, this must be the Divine Phoenix Mother Tree!

Feng Yu approached the tree, her steps slow and deliberate, her heart filled with a mixture of sorrow and hope.

As she reached out to touch it, the tree shuddered, its branches trembling, its leaves rustling as if awakening from a long slumber. A faint crimson glow emanated from its core, spreading through its withered limbs, revitalizing its ancient form.

Feng Yu continued to channel her energy into the tree, her heart swelling with hope. She could feel the life force returning, the spark of the Divine Phoenix's essence growing stronger, brighter.

Buzz-

Suddenly, the tree began to transform. Its withered branches sprouted new leaves, its gnarled trunk straightened, its roots digging deeper into the earth, drawing nourishment from the desolate soil.

The tree grew taller, stronger, its branches reaching towards the sky, its leaves shimmering with a vibrant green light. And from its crown, a single phoenix feather emerged, its fiery plumage a beacon of hope in the desolate landscape.

Feng Yu gazed upon the revitalized tree, her eyes filled with tears of joy.

"It's good that you are still alive... It's good," she spoke to herself with joy.

The revitalized Divine Phoenix Mother Tree pulsed with vibrant energy, its roots delving deep into the heart of the desolate world. A wave of life force spread outwards, like ripples in a still pond, gradually transforming the barren landscape.

Withered plants sprang back to life, their leaves unfurling with newfound vigor. Cracked earth healed, replaced by fertile soil that nurtured burgeoning growth. Dried-up riverbeds filled with crystal-clear water, their currents flowing with renewed vitality.

The desolate wasteland was slowly but surely transforming into a paradise, a testament to the enduring power of the Divine Phoenix Mother Tree, a symbol of hope and renewal for the shattered remnants of the Divine Phoenix Clan.

Feng Yu's heart swelled with joy as she witnessed the rebirth of her ancestral home. But her moment of elation was cut short as a chilling sensation crept over her, a sense of impending danger that sent shivers down her spine.

"Hmm?" She frowned deeply.

Her divine senses reached out into the vast expanse beyond the star, piercing through the cosmic veil, searching for the source of the disturbance.

And then, she saw them.

A massive horde of creatures of chaos, their forms grotesque and distorted, their eyes burning with malevolent intent, swarmed through the void, their numbers seemingly endless. Leading the grotesque army were figures of pure darkness, their bodies wreathed in shadows, their eyes glowing with an infernal light-the Shadow Demons.

Feng Yu's heart sank. She thought that this place was remote enough, but it seemed these creatures of chaos had a good sense of smell.

Feng Yu's eyes turned cold. Her figure flashed, leaving a crimson trail behind as she

reappeared in the vast space outside the star.

The Shadow Demons paused, their eyes fixed on Feng Yu, their forms shifting and contorting

as if assessing their opponent.

"Oh? The Divine Phoenix?" one of the Shadow Demons spoke up. Its eyes stared at the red star behind Feng Yu.

Feng Yu stared at them coldly, her crimson aura gradually surging.

The leader of the Shadow Demons stared at Feng Yu for a moment and spoke up. "Go."

The horde of creatures of chaos behind it instantly surged forward, their bodies shimmering with dark energy.

Feng Yu's eyes narrowed, her expression hardening. With a wave of her hand, she unleashed a torrent of flames, the fiery energy surging towards the Shadow Demons, incinerating

everything in its path.

"ROAR!" The Shadow Demons roared as they conjured a dark barrier to block Feng Yu's flames while launching a counterattack.

BOOM!

The phoenix flames crashed onto the dark barrier, consuming everything.

The remaining Shadow Demons arrived beside Feng Yu and raised their claws toward her.

"Kill!"
