Chun Yue ventured, “What is our next move, Master?”
Ren Yuan’s smile turned icy.
“We make the chaos greater.”
He raised a hand, and space rippled as a portal tore open. Beyond it lay a swirling void—a place between realms, where the fabric of reality thinned.
“The God of Heaven’s legacy isn’t merely power,” Ren Yuan murmured. “It’s influence.” His third eye flickered open briefly, galaxies swirling within its depths. “And what better time to wield it than when the world is already burning?”
Chun Yue’s lips parted in realization. “You mean to—”
“Yun Lintian and Nian Shi will clash,” Ren Yuan interrupted. “One fights for love, the other for dominion. But in their struggle, the balance will shatter. And when it does…”
His fingers curled into a fist.
“That is when the true game begins.”
Without another word, Ren Yuan stepped through the portal. Chun Yue hesitated only a moment before following, her heart pounding with anticipation.
The stage was set.
The players were in motion.
And the God of Heaven’s inheritor would ensure that when the dust settled…
He would be the one left standing.

The Abyssal Rift yawned before Yun Lintian like a wound in reality itself—an endless expanse of swirling darkness punctuated by distant, dying stars. There was no ground beneath his feet, no sky above—only the infinite void of the Realm of Chaos, stretching further than even divine senses could fathom.
Yun Lintian floated in the emptiness, his white hair drifting weightlessly as his divine sense exploded outward in all directions. The Haven had to be nearby—somewhere in this abyss. But the Realm of Chaos was vast beyond comprehension. Even with his Primordial God-level perception, he could barely grasp a fraction of its depths.
Where…?
His mismatched eyes narrowed, scanning the abyss. Then—
A voice echoed through the void, ancient and ravenous.
“At last… You are ripe.”
Yun Lintian turned slowly.
Before him, space twisted like water disturbed by an unseen force, forming a maw of pure nothingness. From its depths emerged it—the Devourer.
Its form was indistinct—a shifting mass of void-black tendrils, its body flickering between dimensions. Where there should have been a face, there was only a single vertical slit—an eye that pulsed with the hunger of a collapsing star.
The God Slaying Sword hummed in Yun Lintian’s grip, its obsidian edge gleaming in the starlight.
“You again,” Yun Lintian said flatly.
The Devourer’s form rippled with amusement. “Did you think our last meeting was the end? No… That was merely a taste.”
Yun Lintian didn’t waste time. He struck.
RIP!
The God Slaying Sword cleaved through the void, its edge singing with the power to sever souls. The Devourer didn’t dodge—it consumed. The blade’s energy vanished into its formless body like light into a black hole.
“Foolish,” the Devourer intoned. “Your power only feeds me.”
Yun Lintian’s expression didn’t change. He had expected this.
With a thought, he activated the God of Space’s authority—blinking behind the Devourer in an instant. His left hand blazed with emerald light, his right with obsidian darkness. He slammed them together—
BOOM!
Chaos energy erupted—a storm of grayish-black power that tore through the Devourer’s form. The creature screamed, its body writhing as the unstable energy ate into its essence.
But only for a moment.
The wound began stitching itself back together, slower than before, but inevitable.
“Clever,” the Devourer admitted. “But not enough.”
The Devourer’s form pulsed with satisfaction as it watched the wound from Yun Lintian’s Chaos energy begin to heal. Its vertical eye gleamed with amusement.
“Your efforts are—”
Then—
CRACK!
The partially healed wound suddenly ruptured again, black ichor spraying into the void. The Devourer’s eye widened in genuine shock as the edges of the injury refused to mend, continuing to bleed essence into the abyss.
“W-WHAT?!”
Yun Lintian didn’t pause. He struck again, his sword flashing with five-colored divine light. The blade carved through the Devourer’s writhing form, leaving another gaping wound that refused to close.
The Devourer recoiled, its form flickering between dimensions. For the first time, its voice carried something beyond hunger—alarm.
“You!”
Yun Lintian floated calmly in the void, his white hair drifting weightlessly. “Did you think I would come unprepared?”
The Devourer’s eye narrowed. It had fought Yun Lintian before. That battle had been a stalemate—the Primordial God’s attacks could wound it, but never permanently. Now…
Now his power carried something new.
A realization struck the ancient entity.
“The God of Death’s authority…”
Yun Lintian’s mismatched eyes gleamed in confirmation. The final piece he’d needed—the power to make wounds permanent.
The Devourer’s form shuddered. Then—
“DIE!”
BOOM!
Space itself screamed as the Devourer unleashed its true power. The void around them convulsed, reality unraveling as an endless black maw opened beneath Yun Lintian—a singularity of absolute consumption. Distant stars winked out as the devouring force expanded, threatening to swallow everything.
Yun Lintian remained calm.
He raised his left hand—the God of Space’s authority flaring.
He raised his right—the God of Balance’s power stabilizing.
The collapsing space froze.
The Devourer’s all-consuming maw strained against an invisible barrier, unable to advance further. Its eye widened in disbelief.
“You…!”
Yun Lintian’s strength had multiplied several times over since their last encounter. Where before he could barely resist the Devourer’s hunger, now he countered it effortlessly.
He floated forward, his sword gleaming. “Your turn.”
The Devourer’s form flickered—not in amusement now, but calculation. This was no longer a game.
For the first time in eons…
It felt threatened.
Yun Lintian’s mismatched eyes blazed as he unleashed his power.
“Surge.”
Gray-black energy erupted from his body, flooding the endless void like a tidal wave. The pure, unfiltered Chaos power—born from the perfect fusion of Life and Death—overflowed the entire space, turning the Realm of Chaos into a storm of annihilation.
The Devourer’s vertical eye widened in horror.
“This—!”
Instinctively, it tried to devour the energy as it had before. But the moment Yun Lintian’s Chaos power touched its form—
“ARGHHH—!”
The Devourer screamed, its body writhing as if scalded. The purity of Yun Lintian’s Chaos was unlike anything it had ever encountered—too refined, too complete. Where before it could consume and digest, now the energy burned through its essence like acid.
“IMPOSSIBLE!”
Yun Lintian didn’t stop. His left hand clenched—God of Space’s authority locking the Devourer in place. His right hand raised the God Slaying Sword high, its obsidian blade humming with lethal intent.
“God Slaying Technique—”
The sword gleamed with five divine lights—Azure Dragon, Divine Phoenix, Golden Crow, Vermilion Bird, White Tiger—all swirling together with the gray-black Chaos energy.
“—God Sundering.”
The blade descended.
For a single, frozen instant—
—the entire void split in half…
