Necromancer Of The Shadows
Chapter 1339 - 1339: It's Time To Finish What We Started (Part 1)“Since you want me to rejoice, then I shall celebrate by completely destroying a filthy thing like you.”
The golden light that had gathered at Mythrenor’s fingertip shot forward like a concentrated beam, cutting through the darkness that enveloped the area like a tofu and heading straight for Eclipse.
The beam of golden light, imbued with Mythrenor’s intent to utterly annihilate Eclipse so that Evan wouldn’t be able to summon him again grew larger and larger in Eclipse’s beast like eyes.
Just as the beam was about to hit Eclipse—who still couldn’t move due to the immense pressure Mythrenor was emitting—a strange force began to radiate from Eclipse’s body, distorting the surrounding reality.
For a split second, Eclipse’s body blurred—and in the next instant, he was suddenly standing upright.
Just as he stood up, the golden beam finally reached him. However, as it struck his body, it passed right through, as if Eclipse wasn’t even there.
“This—” Mythrenor was stunned for a moment, sensing the strange force emanating from Eclipse’s body and realizing that his attack had caused no harm at all.
“That power… it’s as if he is manipulating the force of the surrounding world itself to avoid my attack,” Mythrenor muttered with narrowed eyes.
‘But how is he doing that? He is just a mid level Rank Three shadow undead and he shouldn’t even able to utilise the power of laws let alone the power of surrounding world.’
“How can a weakling like you even think of going against my master?” Eclipse taunted, his voice mocking. “If you kneel down right now and beg for mercy, I promise that at your grand funeral, not only will dogs relieve themselves on your grave, but I will even invite some high level monsters so you can enjoy some high tier piss even after your death!”
Hearing Eclipse’s disrespectful words, the veins on Mythrenor’s forehead bulged as the pressure he emitted surged to a whole new level.
“Do you really think you can survive just by using this little power of the surrounding world?” He said in a voice as cold as death.
“The attack I used earlier didn’t even contain one percent of my true strength. But it seems avoiding that was enough to inflate your ego.”
As Mythrenor spoke, the power of laws burst from his body like a raging volcano, engulfing the entire area.
The strange force radiating from Eclipse was instantly suppressed. His body blurred once more, then returned to normal.
“Well… sh*t just got real this time,” Eclipse muttered to himself, raising his hands in surrender.
“Alright, it’s my loss this time. How about letting me go—just this once?”
Mythrenor didn’t respond to Eclipse’s words. Instead, he once again pointed his finger at Eclipse.
Golden light began to gather at his fingertip, and just like before, it shot toward Eclipse like a deadly laser beam.
“So that is how I am going to die, huh…” Eclipse murmured, watching the golden beam closing in. But—
“Just kidding.”
Right before the beam struck him, Eclipse’s body turned into black smoke and vanished from sight.
The golden beam continued forward, but with Eclipse gone, it hit nothing and eventually faded into the void.
Mythrenor frowned as Eclipse disappeared and quickly scanned the area. But no matter how hard he searched, he couldn’t find a trace of him.
“How did he manage to escape from here?” The progenitor of elves found himself confused for the first time in a long while, his eyes narrowing.
‘His ability to use the force of the surrounding world… and now a skill that allowed him to escape, even though this entire area was transformed into my territory through the power of laws…’
Mythrenor stared at the spot where Eclipse had just been and many thoughts ran through his mind.
“Just what is going on with that guy? How did he become so powerful in such a short time?”
He turned to look at the area completely erased from existence by the creature Evan had summoned. Instinctively, Mythrenor knew that things were starting to spiral out of control.
“It ionly been a year since he arrived in Utopia. Yet he is already reached a level where even the top core evolvers of this world must tread carefully around him.”
Mythrenor suddenly burst into laughter, a cold glint flashing in his eyes.
“This actually makes things better. If he didn’t possess at least this much power, everything would have been far too boring.”
His laughter faded, and a question surfaced in his mind.
“From what that filthy undead said, I am sure that guy knows about my existence. But… why would he reveal that information to me? Wouldn’t it have been better to keep it hidden until the final moment?”
Mythrenor took one last glance at the devastated area before his figure began to fade away.
“I wonder what he is planning this time…”
As Mythrenor vanished, the overwhelming pressure covering the Frozen Monarchy Empire also disappeared.
From within his castle, Winterclaw turned his gaze toward the direction of the Maldrith Kingdom.
‘He doesn’t have much time. If he wants to save that girl and merge your source with her, he will have to act within the next few months. Even if he uses abnormal methods, reaching beyond mid-level Rank Four within that timeframe would be impossible…’
The words Mythrenor had spoken to him before leaving echoed in Winterclaw’s mind, and he shook his head.
“Judging by Mythrenor’s outburst, it seems he has already surpassed what Mythrenor anticipated.”
Winterclaw glanced at the ice field outside. A sharp glint flashed in his beastly eyes.
“Looks like I will have to prepare thoroughly if I don’t want to lose my life in the coming months.”
With that, Winterclaw turned away from the window and left the room.

Inside the closed world of the Drayds…
“Holy god of death, I thought I was going to die for real this time!”
A leopard like shadow undead suddenly woke up and shouted loudly.
