Long Chen continued to circulate his astral energy, attuning himself to the forces of heaven and earth.

As he absorbed this energy, he noticed a change. After the primal chaos battle, his astral energy had undergone a profound transformation. Although the world’s laws still screened him off, the once impenetrable barrier now seemed to have small openings he could exploit.

Before this, he had only sensed the distant astral energy, feeling its faint blessings and support. But now, that energy seemed closer—responding to his call, trying to reach him through the screen.

The trickle of power seeping through was barely a fraction of what he’d accessed on the primal chaos battlefield—less than one ten-thousandth—but it was still an improvement. With this astral energy bolstering him, Long Chen’s power not only grew, but it could also be maintained for longer. While it wasn’t the limitless power he’d wielded in the primal chaos era, it was now at least ten times more abundant than before.

With this support, Long Chen felt fearless, confident he could even face a Devil Emperor from the primal chaos era.

As Long Chen repeatedly called himself “daddy” and referred to the blond man as “child,” the latter felt his fury reach a boiling point. Even in the primal chaos era, he had been a renowned heavenly genius—a powerful overlord with a reputation. Yet now, an Earth Saint junior dared to insult him.

“You insolent fool! Do you want me to crush you in a single blow?!” he spat, his rage overflowing.

With a shift in his hand seals, the Silver Wing Heaven Devils kneeling on the altar began to twitch. Hundreds of them rose, and waves of devil qi exploded around them. Each of these Silver Wing Heaven Devils was a nine-vein Emperor, their sharp claws tearing through the air toward Long Chen. They emanated a powerful spiritual energy, almost as if they were alive.

“Not bad. Were you only one step away from reviving them?” Long Chen asked, feeling a bit surprised.

These Silver Wing Heaven Devils seemed to be alive. The blond man’s methods were truly heaven-defying.

“Idiot, they were never dead from the start. Their souls were fractured and sealed by a curse, putting them in a half-alive, half-dead state. Other than being unable to activate their core runes, they’re no different from when they lived,” sneered the blond man.

“Unable to activate their core runes? Then what’s there to fear?” Long Chen replied, unbothered.

Without their core runes, these creatures couldn’t unleash their innate divine abilities, meaning they couldn’t even bring out thirty percent of their peak power.

BOOM!

The first Silver Wing Heaven Devil reached Long Chen. Stars swirled atop his hand as he met its claw head-on.

With a thunderous clash, both Long Chen and the Silver Wing Heaven Devil were forced back a step. Its physical body was astoundingly powerful.

“As expected of a body nourished by the laws of the primal chaos era! This thing is pure treasure!” Long Chen murmured, almost drooling as he eyed the Silver Wing Heaven Devil.

The blond man’s hair stood on end at Long Chen’s expression, which looked disturbingly like he was eyeing a meal. He couldn’t fathom how this seemingly weak human could stir a sense of dread within him.

After their brief standoff, Evilmoon swept through the air, and with a single strike, the Silver Wing Heaven Devil’s head flew off. Despite how strong its physical body was, it was still unable to stop Evilmoon. The moment Evilmoon sliced through its neck, its life truly ended.

Without hesitation, Long Chen tossed its corpse into the primal chaos space’s black soil. As the black soil began to absorb it, he sensed a surge of primal chaos qi being released, along with fragments of Grand Dao runes.

"Jackpot!" Long Chen’s eyes lit up with excitement.

If he had enough of these devil corpses, he could probably turn the primal chaos space into a true world of primal chaos qi. Then, with its power, he might even pierce through the barrier blocking him from the heavens, freeing himself from these shackles.

With a triumphant shout, Long Chen swung Evilmoon ferociously. The once-terrifying Silver Wing Heaven Devils were cut down like weeds in front of Evilmoon.

The blond man was dumbfounded, unable to believe what he was seeing. He had never seen such a sharp weapon before.

He was extremely familiar with the strength of those Silver Wing Heaven Devils. Their strongest points were their silver wings, where they focused their life’s cultivation. Those wings were their ultimate weapons.

Yet, Evilmoon sliced through them like butter, the cuts as smooth and clean as glass. Evilmoon’s unnatural sharpness left the blond man in complete shock.

These Silver Wing Heaven Devils were nine-vein Emperors. While they couldn’t activate their core runes—thus unable to unleash the full power of their wings—those wings were still vastly stronger than an ordinary Emperor-level divine weapon. They had been nurtured by the primal chaos era’s laws and qi, making them formidable in their own right.

However, Long Chen noticed a blood-colored pattern etched along the edge of Evilmoon. As he focused on it, he sensed Evilmoon’s aura embedded within that pattern.

“So even in slumber, it is instinctively helping me,” Long Chen muttered, his confidence rising once more.

With renewed vigor, he swung Evilmoon again, and the Silver Wing Heaven Devils were cut down in droves.

Before they could even land on the ground, lightning and flame chains would appear and catch them, sucking them into the primal chaos space.

While Huo Linger and Lei Linger didn’t dare to fight the blond man, helping Long Chen clean up the battlefield was still doable for them.

Seeing this, the blond man quickly recovered from shock, and a new fervor appeared in his eyes.

“Good, the stronger you are, the higher my chances of success. Go ahead and kill them all if you want. They mean nothing.”

BOOM!

With a violent burst of power, his hand seals shifted once more. The altar trembled, and the Silver Wing Heaven Devils that had been kneeling rose, charging toward Long Chen.

“Child, your filial piety is impressive. I won’t stand on ceremony any longer,” Long Chen sneered.

Finally, Long Chen placed Evilmoon back on his shoulder, panting slightly. He then turned his gaze to the blond man and said, “It’s time to end this, don’t you think?”
