“Die!”
Yue Changfeng roared, and his Slaughter Lance shot forward like a bolt of lightning toward a figure in the distance.
Though this youth had slipped from his lock, the Slaughter Lance could track his presence.
BOOM!
A small bone tile struck the tip of the lance, and a massive hole appeared in space. The youth had vanished. Even the Slaughter Lance couldn’t find its target—it was as if he had never been there.
“I divined your future with good intentions, yet you tried to kill me. Truly an ungrateful lot.” The youth’s voice echoed from afar. “Originally, you had a calamity ahead, but if you changed your ways, you might have found salvation. Now? Just wait for death.”
“Damn brat, do you dare reveal your name?!” Yue Changfeng bellowed, his fury boiling over at being mocked after his failure.
“Gambling Heavenly Dao, Hu Feng.”
Yue Changfeng's Slaughter Lance quivered as he attempted to trace the source of the voice. His weapon possessed the divine ability to lock onto enemies, even across space.
But the youth seemed to anticipate his move. His voice drifted from another direction, throwing off Yue Changfeng’s aim. The lance failed to find its mark.Yue Changfeng clenched his teeth. He had dominated every foe he encountered, especially after obtaining his new armor and lance. They had pushed his power to an unprecedented height.
But then, he was insulted by Long Chen and now this youth. It was unforgivable.
Lu Qingshuang watched in shock. She had initially planned to intervene, ready to offend Yue Changfeng if necessary. This youth intrigued her—she sensed no heaven vein fluctuations from him, yet he radiated immense pressure.
She wanted to see his strength firsthand. If he had truly been in danger, she would have acted. However, the battle was over before it even began.
What unsettled her most was that Hu Feng had killed one of their top experts—Tu Meng’s strongest subordinate, a six-vein Heaven Saint.
Among them, only Yue Changfeng had reached the pinnacle with nine core veins. Four others, including Lu Qingshuang and Tu Meng, had condensed eight. Though this slain expert only had six, his talent allowed him to challenge someone with seven core veins.
Yet he was slain instantly, without resistance.
And the weapon that did it?
A mere bone tile.
It was three inches long, one inch thick, glossy like jade. It looked fragile, as if a touch could shatter it.
Yet, it had pierced straight through the expert’s golden helmet, leaving a perfect, razor-clean hole—like a knife slicing through a radish.
That same bone tile had blocked Yue Changfeng’s Slaughter Lance. Though Yue Changfeng hadn’t used his full power, the fact remained—his ferocious divine weapon had been stopped by something so small. ɽÄℕộᛒЕŠ
Hu Feng appeared to be only a teenager, and there was no aura of time upon him. In other words, he wasn’t some ancient monster sealed away for eons but a genius of this very era.
The realization sent chills down Lu Qingshuang’s spine. A mere sixteen-year-old had already reached such terrifying heights? What a monster.
Now, Lu Qingshuang couldn’t help but feel powerless. Yue Changfeng really knew how to pick his opponents. In such a short time, he had managed to provoke two terrifying existences.
Long Chen's strength was so unfathomable that none of them could gauge its depths, while the youth hadn’t even unleashed his heaven vein dragon qi yet still managed to slip away from their army, killing a six-vein Heaven Saint in the process.
However, Yue Changfeng showed no regret. His teeth gnashed in fury, his entire being radiating a murderous intent. He wasn’t reflecting on whether or not his actions were correct.
“Let’s go!” shouted Yue Changfeng.
Yue Changfeng coldly waved his hand, leading the Golden Armor Horseman Legion away.
Lu Qingshuang followed in silence, her expression numb, as though she had resigned herself to fate. Seeing her in such a state, Tu Meng smirked in satisfaction.
…
The Ten Thousand Dragon Nest advanced steadily. Long Chen stood at its edge, gazing into the distance. The memory of Yue Changfeng’s arrogance still irked him.
“Come on, chase after us! Then I’ll have a reason to beat you up,” muttered Long Chen.
Earlier, he had held back out of consideration for a familiar face. But seeing Yue Changfeng’s utter lack of regard, he realized he should have simply dealt with this idiot outright. If only Yue Changfeng had given chase, Long Chen would have had the perfect excuse to end him.
Yet, to his disappointment, the Golden Armor Horseman never appeared.
“If you don’t chase after us now, you won’t get another chance!” sighed Long Chen.
Ahead, the space started to distort. Though they were traveling straight, the ever-shifting spatial currents ensured that everyone would end on a different path.
Ultimately, the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest entered that twisting space.
As soon as they crossed into it, the Ten Thousand Dragon Nest’s divine runes ignited in brilliance. Like a miniature sun, it radiated an overwhelming luminescence.
Simultaneously, an immense surge of energy flooded in—Heavenly Doyen energy, sacred energy, the power of laws, and the essence of dragon blood.
They were close. The Emperor reverse scale was near. Long Chen's anticipation grew.
“I see! So this is why! You’re not cultivating divine abilities or comprehending the Jiuli divine runes because of him!”
The Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign’s startled exclamation suddenly echoed in Long Chen’s mind.
