Since Adrian has already done his job, Elder Koronn told him to prepare the special potions needed for the upcoming fight. When Adrian heard that, he immediately exited the room and let Elder Koronn deal with the battle plans. Adrian was told that the Daemos will handle the transport of all the troops while the other kingdoms just need to prepare for their warriors to join.

Adrian left for the Tree of Life and Death where the Twin Prophets could be seen sleeping at the bottom of its trunk. The elven elders do not dare to wake the twin prophets when they are asleep in the embrace of the Tree of Life and Death. They are in a state that is said to commune with the Tree of Life and Death itself when they are asleep.

“Those two. I cannot believe that they have already grown yet they still like to escape their duties and studies. Yewdrassil must be playing with them right now in Paradiso. Then again, those two did not have a normal childhood so I can at least let them have it longer than others.” Adrian muttered as the Tree of Life and Death noticed his presence.

“I have come asking for your aid, Universal Tree. I, Champion of the Twin Gods and Mediator of Death, has come to ask for your blessed leaves that could give life and hold off death.” Adrian stated as he bowed to the Tree of Life and Death.

The elven elders saw that Adrian bowed to the Tree of Life and Death and did so as well. They thought that the Champion of the Twin Gods was performing a prayer of some sort which is why they copied him. The Tree of Life and Death then created a figure of a person made of its long vines and leaves.

“You have requested my aide, child. This is the first of many requests, but this request is something that you know the consequences of.” The Tree of Life and Death’s medium stated which even the elven elders heard the voice that spoke.

The elven elders could not believe that the Tree of Life and Death actually created a medium to speak with the Champion of the Twin Gods. They always thought that the Tree of Life and Death was just there to observe as it is the origin of all life as they say because it is the origin of all trees of life in every world. The voice of the Tree of Life and Death is like a combination of a prestige old man and old woman. One can hear the meaning of true dignity from its voice.

The elven elders suddenly panicked when they saw Adrian float and have his life force extracted by the Tree of Life and Death. They thought that he was getting punished or something which is why some wanted to jump in and save him. Adrian immediately gritted the pain and told them to stand down as this was necessary.

“All of you stand down! I am not being hurt or punished. This is a sacrificial ritual needed for the greater good.” Adrian stated but he is actually not speaking about how it definitely hurts a lot.

“Damn it! I knew that having your life force extracted is not painless, but this is something that I did not expect. You would think that willingly parting away with ten levels will not hurt but I feel like ten thousand needles are prickling every part of my body.” Adrian thought as he endured the pain.

“The price has been paid. You shall be given what you ask.” The Tree of Life and Death, Yewdrassil, stated as it finally retracted its hand and created a leaf with both powers of life and death.

The right hand poured Pure Life energy while the left hand poured Pure Death energy. The Tree of Life and Death, Yewdrassil, slowly materialized a leaf with golden sheen but the veins made of ghastly green. It was a leaf that is filled with both the properties of the Tree of Life and Death which meant it held the balance of life and death energy in its midst.

They were so taken aback that some of them started to actually cry as if their gods have descended to cleanse all sickness in the world.

“I have given you my leaf as you have wanted. Make sure to never use it as a weapon to destroy but as a catalyst to protect. Should you not use it for the meaning that I have given you, then I shall curse your body to wither while getting back what was mine to give.” The Tree of Life and Death, Yewdrassil, stated with a firm tone which made it seem devoid of emotion as the lack of warmth from its voice vanished for some time.

“I shall use it to benefit those that will purge the sins of the world. You have my promise.” Adrian replied as he accepted the item wholeheartedly.

Adrian did not expect a title come in when he was just getting an item that will be used to brew a potion to help all of the warriors that will come to battle. He graciously accepted the title and bowed towards the Tree of Life and Death. The medium that the Tree of Life and Death has created withered away with a smile as it already knows what Adrian will do with its leaf. The warning was merely formality to the champion and also a reminder.

“I guess Jianna and Brew will definitely be happy with what I need to bring them. I will need the other things though.” Adrian muttered as he also took a vial and took water from the Holy Spring.
