Chapter 1866 Chapter 1858: Heavenly Worlds

"Pompous asshat!" Bai Lin cursed without restraint. She had pure distaste for this Heavengazer. From the beginning to the end of this verbal exchange, he was excessively posturing with an all-knowing, all-powerful, and all-important demeanor.

"Haha! Isn't that a little mean?" Wei Wuyin laughed without any tension in his voice.

"Hmph!" Bai Lin soared through the Dark Void with a foul light in her eyes, brimming with unspoken insults.

Initially, Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night started the conversation by shrouding them in a horrifying darkness, hiding his visage, silhouette, and position while his voice resounded mysteriously across this cage. Then, he systematically revealed information to paint himself as a fountain of omnipotent knowledge to eke out awe and surprise from Wei Wuyin.

He failed on both fronts. Not only had Wei Wuyin and Bai Lin located him with an obvious showing, but Wei Wuyin remained entirely unshaken in the slightest by his exposure of information. Unable to gain leverage, he resorted to baiting Wei Wuyin with a need as if he wanted him to ask or beg to know. Again, he was suppressed by Wei Wuyin's killing intent and gradual loss of patience.

Her intelligence was extraordinary, and while she hadn't acquired Eden's Akashic Abilities originating from his Magi lineage, able to read thoughts, she was very sensitive to emotions.

While he didn't have Celestial Eyes to perceive that shady Heavengazer, she did have a unique form of sensing mental fluctuations acquired from their unity of energy, essence, blood, and soul. Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night's concealments were impeccable, and not even ordinary Soul Perception could track him, but those mental fluctuations were like a lighthouse in the darkest night where no other intelligent lifeforms existed to the both of them. Bai Lin had pinpointed him time and time again from those fluctuations.

Wei Wuyin furrowed his eyebrows, "Information is valuable. Our initial deal was completed, and he wanted to leverage that connection to create a foundation to establish another deal. If I had to make a guess, he wanted me to showcase interest in his knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge, seeking his assistance for a purpose of my own."

"Likely."

"He wanted you to make him a retainer?" Bai Lin asked with a spark of curiosity.

Wei Wuyin didn't nod or shake his head. Instead, he softly hummed thoughtfully in his throat before speaking: "During our deal, I've inadvertently revealed that my Neo-Dawn Empire doesn't have any competent—no, high-level Seers. Wen Mingna and Ming Shufeng are still developing. Even then, their specialty of divination was leveraging heaven's fortune for themselves or others, not specifically scrying, interference, concealment, or predicting calamities. They ride the backs of Sons and Daughters of Heaven, and specialize in finding, assisting, and protecting them.

"Their seer lineage only covers a portion of a Seer's true power. Meanwhile, Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night's specialty is widely-known for distortion and concealment. If I had to form a theory on their legacy's foundation, it's likely leading others unknowingly into unseen calamities or losing out on heavenly opportunities altogether, perhaps even stealing opportunities."

"..." Bai Lin's own brows furrowed. "Does he think you're like those others? Those blessed by the heavens?"

Wei Wuyin sighed. At their level, it was easy to determine who was favored by the heavens. Some were extremely lucky, but others were overtly protected and guided by an unseen hand, even affecting those around them.

There was no way that Su Yi didn't know he was a favored Son of Heaven, even if his ego wanted to attribute his wild success to his own efforts. Wei Wuyin had concrete evidence of this; during the Game of Mystics, Su Yi's luck was subpar despite his status as a Blessed, on the other hand, his luck that was decided by 'pure chance' was godly and rather excessive. He didn't have to put much effort into winning. He just had to not foolishly throw the game when it was so overwhelmingly in his favor.

Su Yi was ignored and abandoned, with all of fortune pushed to him without expending the slightest Karmic Luck Value.

While Heaven-Seer Encompassing Night might not primarily cultivate using Blessed as a springboard for his own cultivation, that didn't mean he wouldn't take advantage of the chance to do so. "Detonate the core? I don't understand," Bai Lin pouted. Her depth of understanding in regards to cultivation was lacking, and she couldn't understand why Su Yi was going to destroy the core. Wasn't the Supreme Sages surrounding the Incinerated Dominion, putting external pressure on it so it could explode? When did it suddenly become Su Yi destroying the Incinerated Dominion?

"The Incinerated Dominion is the Microheaven of a fallen Supreme Sage acting as the core of their Internal World—a Heavenly World. It is a metaphysical space that emulates the ecosystem of the universe, allowing it to become a blessed environment where they can store and nurture treasures and materials.

"If the Astral Core Realm's basis is to birth a Solar Star with a Star Soul, harnessing its power as your own, and the Mystic Ascendant Realm was integrating the Will of Mortal and Mystic Forces within this Solar Star, expanding and strengthening its territory—the physique, then the Resonant Soul Realm was connecting and emulating the functions of the heavens by using the foundation of energy gained through the four realms prior.

Normally, the various Supreme Existences would avoid the Incinerated Dominion due to the dangers and difficulties of exploring or conquering it. They instead used it as a blessed ground to send brave souls seeking opportunities, and then trade with those lucky enough to survive if they find anything valuable.

After all, what use would a Rune King, World Emperor, or Original Magistrate have with raw Mystic-Heaven grade materials? Not even Sages could effectively use them. It would be no different than trying to refine molten lead as a mere mortal.
