Chapter 1868 Chapter 1860: Contest For Tiny Heaven (1)
"Heaven-Saint Neo-Dawn," Zhou Yiyin, the Right Vice-Palace Master of the Incandescent Star Palace, respectfully called out, gathering the attention of these two galactic juggernauts, "If I may."
Wei Wuyin's eyes darted to the prim and properly dressed woman, comparable to a mature woman in her early thirties, exuding a charm of authority, duty, and cordial charisma resembling a merchant. Her long-hemmed, short-sleeved, dark blue robes, which lightly hugged her figure yet struck the perfect balance between femininity and modesty. Her azure-painted lips contained a cosmic beauty, as if stars had been plucked from the starry skies and placed within.
Seeing Wei Wuyin's curious gaze, she slowly blossomed with a tiny smile, her head slightly bent as she addressed him. Despite her status as the Right Vice-Palace Master of the Incandescent Star Palace, Wei Wuyin's strength, status, wealth, and talent far exceeded hers. He was no less important than a Zenith.
"Go on," Wei Wuyin gestured for her to speak. The Incandescent Star Palace Lord didn't interfere. Seeing this tacit approval of her actions, granting her an opportunity to establish herself in the mind of the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Saint, she pushed through her racing heart with great focus.
"The Incinerated Dominion is valued heavily by the various organizations due to its peculiar rules," her words immediately received feedback as Wei Wuyin showed visible interest, and her heart almost skipped two whole beats, yet she remained strong-willed and continued: "The faux-Laws that were established in his Microheaven by the late Superior Excellence Blazehorn after his failure to ascend was well-intended, desiring to leave behind a suitable region of safety for his descendants. As such, the Incinerated Dominion's passive heavenly will restricts any cultivator at the Resonant Soul Realm from approaching, and the intrusion of resonant qi will instigate a catastrophic reaction that will lead to a nova event that will direct its full force toward the violator, likely taking a portion of the galaxy with it.
"It was in the Utmost Purity Galaxy's best interest to protect it from others. This prevented any cultivator at the Resonant Soul Realm from approaching or trying to threaten his descendants. Moreover, there's a guardian that slaughters any Sage that has True Breaths of a Sage not of a specific nature, capable of resonating with the Heavenly World. This was verified recently with absolute certainty after various forces sent their hunters and assassins to capture or kill Su Yi. Because of this, Sages and Enlightened Sages avoid the Incinerated Dominion, unable to be deployed for the extraction of its rich resources.
"Meanwhile, those at the Mystic Overlord level are unable to acquire those most dangerous and volatile Mystic-Heaven or peak Mystic-World graded materials, forcing them to avoid coming into contact with them lest they risk severe injury or death. For these reasons, the Incinerated Dominion could be considered a heavenly lode of treasure, heavily unexplored."
Wei Wuyin's eyes glimmered with signs of enlightenment and understanding. Zhou Yiyin felt her heart fully skip two beats; she had only heard of this foreigner's unearthly looks that defied common sense by rumors, exuding an incredibly attractive handsomeness. Her heart fluttered despite her ancient age and great experience.
"I see. What happened to his descendants?" Wei Wuyin asked. For a Supreme Sage to leave behind a Heavenly World for his descendants born from their death was a great gesture.
Zhou Yiyin answered immediately, with very little emotion: "Eradicated.""Ah," Wei Wuyin acknowledged with an internal sigh. Just because one made such a great gesture of thoughtfulness, the living always had more means than the dead.
Zhou Yiyin glanced at her Palace Lord with a question in her eyes. He replied with a shift of his gaze to Wei Wuyin. "She wouldn't be foolish enough to harm you with Heaven-Saint Neo-Dawn here. Isn't that right?"
Wei Wuyin was taken aback for a moment, and then he realized that Zhou Yiyin wanted to speak of taboo information that was either sealed or restricted. Before, his Laws were sealed, so he had few methods to guard against Supreme Sages deploying their mysterious means through heaven and earth, but as he had fully regained his ability, he assured Zhou Yiyin with a non-verbal nod.
As he did so, his Major Authority of Imperial Law seeped into the cockpit.
Witnessing this feeling of a strong presence enveloping her, Zhou Yiyin explained with confidence: "Sovereign Maleficent-Chaos of the Zenith Containment Tower had a long-standing grudge with the late Blazehorn, so upon his death, while she was unable to fight against him in person, she gathered a group of cultivators and initiated a century-long hunt that lasted only seventy-two years before all his descendants were killed in the galaxy."
"The entire galaxy?" Wei Wuyin was stunned. What type of grudge was this?
"Not only the Utmost Purity Galaxy, but a bounty had been placed on the heads of those outside the galaxy and any remnant bloodline descendants, as long as they were within the 77th line of generational descendants from the late Superior Excellence." Zhou Yiyin calmly explained.
Holy shit…
"What type of grudge required such extensive eradication methods?" Wei Wuyin was taken aback by the brutality on the level of a genuine massacre. There was a strong chance that this included millions, if not BILLIONS, of living beings. It might seem minor given the expansiveness of the galaxy, but that was a generous estimate given how generational lineages worked with long-lived mortal cultivators that had children within their hundreds. A generation was a full mortal cultivator's potential life—1,500 years.
This meant…
"From what is said by some, it stemmed from a simple insult regarding her attempt at maintaining the appearance of a young teenage woman. But from what we've gathered, they had a vicious contest for a natural-born treasure, and the late Supreme Excellence had won out. It could be both, or even neither. She could have simply not liked how he breathed if her reputation prior to becoming a Supreme Sage is to be trusted," Zhou Yiyin admitted as the Maleficent-Chaos Sovereign was infamous for her short temper and vicious cruelty on the level of planetary slaughter.
She had once destroyed an entire starfield.
And the reason was simply because its Solar Star was "too bright" when she wanted a better view of the starry skies.
Wei Wuyin furrowed his brows slightly in contemplation. When he had met her before, the Maleficent-Chaos Sovereign lacked any trace of Karmic Sin. The incident of descendant-eradication was well within the commandments of the Heavenly Daos as justified and allowed, especially if she only went after those linked to the late Blazehorn. After all, they all had traces of karmic ties to him, whether they wanted to or not, and would share in a calamity born from his action without consequence to the perpetrator.
From his viewpoint and understanding of sin, luck, and karma, this would mean she genuinely acted out of justified grudges or purpose aligned with the Heavenly Daos' rules. That, or she was somehow hiding her Karmic Sin.
Now that he thought about it…
Not a single Supreme Sage had any sign of Karmic Sin or Karmic Fortune. Was there something he didn't know? If he had to make an educated guess, perhaps the Karmic Sin or Karmic Luck might be… …Microheaven?
His eyes glittered with a potential theory.
The Zeniths and their Dao Enforcers weren't just alchemists; some of them were no saints. Then again, neither was he. So who was he to judge?
"Heaven-Saint Infinite Containment?" Wei Wuyin inquired, seeking Suo Kai-Ming's stance on this.
"She's never stated her position on any of these matters nor paid out of pocket to settle the breaking of any rules set by the Zenith Towers. Maleficent-Chaos Sovereign paid the price for violating several rules herself. Considering she's also an Alchemist, and she's the Dao Enforcer of a Zenith Tower, she wasn't lacking in funds to settle these matters." Zhou Yiyin's words would chill anyone who heard them to the bone. However, those were the rules set by the Utmost Purity Galaxy's leading organizations, and since it didn't have a centralized government or imperial system, there was no authority present to prevent such wanton slaughter with little outward reasoning.
Zhou Yiyin continued with a heavy sigh in her heart, "The bounty contract issued by her was completed a few thousand years ago, verified by the Seers of the Night. All descendants within that generational lineage up to the 77th position were killed—not a single one remains as of today. And if any were revived somehow, the bounty contract would go back into effect.
Wei Wuyin and the Incandescent Star Palace Lord's eyes moved to the right wall of the cockpit; a Soul Perception was descending over, pressing against his aura of Imperial Law, halting its intent to descend. The names and titles of existences had power, even those not of the Supreme Sage, and the mere utterance of their name could either attract their attention or cause a severe backlash that could lead to instant death.
Earlier, there was an uncontrolled descent of a killing intent imbued with Heavenly Force, the same type of power that the Zeniths used to suppress Wei Wuyin, originating from their Mystic-Heaven grade Zenith Towers. Then, after it was blocked, the Maleficent-Chaos Sovereign's Soul Perception pierced over with ruthless killing momentum. It only halted after sensing Wei Wuyin's aura of Imperial Law.
BOOM!
RUMBLE!
"Hmph!" She coldly snorted, causing the Void Vessel to experience spatial turbulence that almost flipped it over. The cultivators on board shouted, exclaimed, and screamed in fear and shock.
Wei Wuyin reached out, grabbing Zhou Yiyin's waist. The Incandescent Star Palace Lord formed a hand-seal with a faint scowl on his handsome features, stabilizing the ship as it was almost pushed into the depths of chaotic space. A single move by the Maleficent-Chaos Sovereign tried to send them into a chaotic oblivion.
"What a petty little bitch," the Incandescent Star Palace Lord spat softly, his words were concealed heavily by his resonant qi so no one except Wei Wuyin could hear or discern their contents. He didn't dare allow the Maleficent-Chaos Sovereign to find out about this.
Wei Wuyin chuckled in amusement. Then, his gaze moved toward the direction of the Maleficent-Chaos Sovereign. The Celestial Eyes pierced countless veils and found her sitting on a couch-like throne in a lazy and half-hearted position. Next to her were two beautiful women, fully nude, feeding her grapes and massaging her ankles with oils.
She was entirely nude, the very same state she had when she was born. Nothing was left to the imagination, be it the color of her lower lips, the curvatures of her body, or whether she was an innie or outie—she was an innie.
She frowned. A sensation of being seen was felt, but her concealment formations and arrays could block out any Soul Perception, and even if it couldn't, she would immediately notice an invasion of perception.
Wei Wuyin's voice abruptly echoed out in her ship, funneled through the Void: "Your petty tantrum attack left me with a tiny scratch on my pinky nail and some emotional distress. I expect compensation. A single Mystic-Heaven Essence Stone should be enough. I'll give you thirty seconds, or it'll increase by a hundred. Next time, don't be so petty."
"...!" Immediately, the Maleficent-Chaos Sovereign rose, her figure alert as clothes formed on her body. That was…
"OH. And you have an incredibly beautiful body that could awe for an eon. What a waste," Wei Wuyin commented before leaving.
Her eyes widened to their limits.
In Stellar Brilliance, the Void Vessel of the Incandescent Star Palace, its Lord and Vice-Palace Master had mouths that were agape in shock. Wei Wuyin had spoken those words aloud, and they could tell he sent them through some Void Art.
Zhou Yiyin was so stunned that she just stayed there, hugged at the waist by Wei Wuyin with wide eyes and a racing heart.
"You…" The Incandescent Star Palace Lord was dumbstruck.
"Wait for it," Wei Wuyin's lips curved into a slight smile.
Soon, seconds passed.
Then, at twenty-eight seconds, a comet of heavenly light pierced over and arrived at the border of Stellar Brilliance's defenses. It lightly knocked against its shielding.
"Close," Wei Wuyin commented with a click of his tongue as he swiped his hand and collected the Mystic-Heaven Essence Stone. "I should have given her less time."
"..." Incandescent Star Palace Lord.
"..." Zhou Yiyin.
"..." The crew.
