147 Chapter 147 Armor upgrade and the hunt begins

(Third person POV)

Desmond Astryd could be considered a relatively complex man and quite simple at the same time, in essence despite his many peculiarities Desmond would do anything to keep those he loved safe.

And that’s where Desmond was a bit strange because despite how fickle he can be in his relationships, the list of people who fell into that category for Desmond was only a few. For many years the only person Desmond loved and cared for was Claire, no matter who Desmond spent his nights with or who he shared a bed with; that fact had not changed.

It was not until his unexpected trip to the Serefia forest that Desmond met Kyuru the mischievous little fairy to whom Desmond felt indebted, the adorable personality and playful attitude of that cute fairy had easily won the love of not only Desmond but also also from Claire.

Now Desmond had realized that Sasha had unexpectedly made a place for herself on that very small list of people that Desmond cared about. Truth be told, when Desmond and Sasha first met, Desmond just thought that she was a pretty girl who could keep him company during his mission and from whom he could get some benefits.

Of course being the kind of man that he is, Desmond had found it quite tempting to roll between the sheets with Sasha, after all she was an incredibly beautiful woman with a rather sensual body; but unexpectedly the girl ended up winning the hunter’s affection little by little.

Her kind and considerate personality could be considered rare in any world, any man would be tempted by a woman as virtuous and beautiful as she; and Desmond was no exception.

That’s why remembering what they had been through and shared in the last few days Desmond couldn’t help but smile as he looked at Sasha who was now completely blushing as she gasped for air.

Certainly, Desmond had taken enough advantage of the poor girl while they were in the shower, although as ironic as it seemed Desmond didn’t feel so rushed to get Sasha into his bed now that he had tender feelings for her; so he spent most of her time teasing her with little caresses.

.....

To be honest, Desmond was an incredibly loving person at heart, he found joy in giving love to his loved ones, which is why even though he found it difficult to control his lust, he still enjoyed the whole process of pampering Sasha intimately in the shower.

Now fresh and a little more relaxed. . . or something similar, both began to consider their the next steps, Sasha thought that she should finish her experiments on the liquid to reinforce armor in case the source of this plague was too dangerous; she argued that it was too late in the day to try to find the source.

Desmond, on the other hand, believed that they should take advantage of the time they had left today to clear part of the path of corrupt beasts, they both had their reasons and in the end, they decided that they could well do both.

Sasha would stay in the lab finishing her experiments, while Desmond would leave the armor with her and set off in the direction of the source of the plague and try to hunt down as many corrupted beasts as he could for an easier journey the next day.

Sasha at first did not seem to agree with Desmond’s idea of ??leaving without wearing his armor but ended up being convinced by him when he told her that he already had an idea of ??how to deal with the corrupted beasts and that he did not plan to get involved in combat. direct with them so wearing the armor would be useless.

Once the two finished arguing they proceeded to go to their different destinations, but when Desmond had barely made his way to the limits of the cabin territory he was stopped by Sasha who was running in his direction.

′′ something happened? ′′ Desmond asked somewhat puzzled.

Sasha responded by extending her hand, handing him a leather belt with a small side backpack, when she opened it Desmond could see that the backpack had at least ten compartments filled with different potion bottles.

Sasha quickly explained to Desmond the use of the five of the potions were quite powerful healing potions, three were resistance potions and the last two were antidotes in case Desmond encountered poisonous beasts or plants.

This time Desmond did not even bother with the words, he simply put the belt around his waist leaving the backpack on his right side, as soon as he finished putting the belt on Desmond extended his hand taking Sasha’s hand and pulling it in his direction to give her a gentle hug before giving her a tender kiss on the forehead.

′′ Run, I know you’re dying to go back to the lab, I’ll be back before dark to make dinner; maybe even find something delicious on the way back. ′′

Sasha who was shy and submissive by nature only gently nodded her head as she blushed furiously before running back to the cabin and making her way to the lab, proving that Desmond was right; the truth is that the young alchemist burned with excitement at the idea of ??completing her experiment.

Having seen Sasha go back into the cabin, Desmond turned and made his way in the direction of the place where they suspected the source of the corruption was, but Sasha was not the only one excited; the truth is that Desmond was dying to start the hunt again.

Desmond couldn’t help it, that was his nature, predatory aggression and enjoyment flowed through his veins whether he liked it or not; at this moment anyone who saw the smile that now decorated his lips would tremble in fear at the image, at this moment Desmond did not seem the kind boy he was a few moments ago with Sasha, now he looked like a wolf who had caught a trail of blood and was waiting anxiously catching its prey.
