At the kingdom of Khouria, countless horned ones could be seen mounting the ships.
Charlotte who was being accompanied by Lara, Aurora, Violet and the others were observing the sight from the docks.
They were cloaked and disguised as to not giveaway their identities as humans.
She had been occupied with other matters so she had yet to consult with her family so she wasn't really sure what exactly was going on.
But from the looks of it, Ruby had failed.
Carriages came rolling in, filled with passengers. These carriages, had exquisite and luxurious designs with golden patterns embedded on them.
They parked side by side to one another, on the docks ahead of their respective ships.
Unlike the other horned ones of common ranks which had marched their way over in groups, these ones who stepped out were in a completely different league.
They were all nobles, with the top half of their horns being a bright red.
The group didn't recognise any of them. They seemed just as powerful if not more than the ones they had faced.
Seeing so many nobles, gathering up in one place made them increasingly more nervous.
Their ages ranged from young to old, the oldest one being an unusual old man with a crane, he seemed to have been able to barely stand yet he had come to join in.
The horned ones continued to gather until there were over a thousand of them.
The third last carriage to arrive, caught charlotte's eye. It's design wasn't anything extreme yet it still managed to capture the gazes of many.
The doors opened, and a tall, spiky black haired young man emerged.
Behind him came an old, tall black-haired man and a short, wavy black-haired woman almost half his size. Despite her shortness, she exhibited a mature air which drew the attention of many.
It was the Duke's Family.
The second last carriage contained a crest which she recognised right away, after all... It belonged to her family.
As the carriage came to a stop, a tall middle-aged white-haired man emerged with a beauty which captivated the eyes of many beside him.
Long titanium white hair, with snow white irises. Her eyes had remained shut throughout most of the time, it was interesting to see her walk around without any help.
They were charlotte's mother and father.
Upon seeing them, she couldn't help but smile. She wanted to go over to them to tell them in person that they wouldn't have to be worried.
However she couldn't as that would give away their positions.
Interrupting her from her mild conflictment, a loud feminine voice echoed across the dock and shore.
"My people! I'd thank you all for making your way here! As you know, our king has been slain... Not only our king, but also our loved ones...! Those inferior beings dared to take the lives we held precious away from us!
Does this not anger you!? Does this not spark the burning desire to enact revenge within your hearts?! Will you let their deaths be in vain!? Ready your weapons, my people for tonight we enact revenge!!"
The moment she finished her speech, bright purple flames burst out from behind the group as a carriage manifested itself out of thin air.
The carriage had the grandest and most luxurious design of all, attracting the attention of everyone at the scene.
A young lady emerged from the carriage, shortly after.
Long green cyan hair which reached her hips along with yellow slit pupiled eyes with a hint of orange around the edges. Her horns were a crimson red and golden jewelleries could be seen hanging off from it.
She was the King's concubine, the new queen dowager.
Her beauty was breath-taking and her speech ignited the hearts of many.
"YEAHHHH!!!!!!!"
"WE'LL KILL THEM ALL!!!"
"WE'LL TEAR THEM TO PIECES!!!!"
Loud cheers resounded amongst the crowd as the commoners raised their weapons on hand. Quite few of the nobles reacted to her speech, giving it a nod but most remained silent.
The one who had given the speech may have been the queen in place, but they all knew she achieved it through immoral means.
Not to mention, she held no royal blood within her. The older nobles weren't buying it.
Especially when they had received news that Ruby, the King's first and only daughter of royal blood which lived was spotted around the city.
Many of the nobles were curious as to why the princess had returned and no announcement had been made.
The queen dowager was without a doubt planning something.
Most of the nobles had joined in not for their families but because they assumed they would have been able to find Ruby, at the scene.
They all had the same common question going through their minds. 'Where is she?' and 'Is she really alive?'
From where she stood, the Queen couldn't help but smile. She knew exactly what most of the nobles were thinking.
How they suspected her, how they didn't trust nor have any loyalty towards her and lastly how they were all wondering where the rumoured Ruby was.
Despite that, she didn't care. Rather, it seemed to work in her favour.
'Everything is going according to plan...' She thought to herself with a smile.
"Well then, my people!! Board your-"
"STOP!!!!"
A loud shout echoed throughout the dock, and shore drawing away all their attention from the Queen dowager to Ruby.
The shout had come from the top of the ship, instantly drawing all the attention.
Turning to the source, a shocked expression manifested on their faces.
A gorgeous petite girl with long black hair tied by bright yellow ribbons, holding onto a battle axe almost twice her size could be seen.
"That's... The princess...?"
"She was alive?"
"I was told she died.. I can't believe it."
A somewhat saddened expression could be seen on her face as she appeared before them. "Everybody listen up!!" She yelled out once more with a nervous look.
Her sudden appearance didn't surprise the queen at all, but rather amused her in a way.
'Now let's see how things will play out little princess...'
She shook her head before slamming both of her hands on her cheek causing it to slightly redden and swell.
Her look became more determined and her eyes were clear.
Just as she opened her mouth to speak however- *Swoosh*
Three figures zoomed past her at speeds faster than the regular eye could see.
Even she was only able to catch a bare glimpse of it.
*Splash*
The water splashed around them as they crashed into the space in between the two boats.
Turning to the scene, the entire shore had become silent.
'Was that Gray...?' Ruby asked filled with surprise.
As the water began to subside three figures emerged, standing on top of the ocean.
