Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 437 - 437: Just How Old Are You?Inside a large castle, or so it appeared considering its bath in countless formations, a being with a twisted expression was sitting in a lotus posture, eyes closed, as if meditating.
The air around him reeked of death, showing he had killed his fair share of people, and because of that, he now exuded the aura of a killer.
Suddenly, his eyes snapped open, and blood came out of them.
His mouth and nose weren’t spared either. This brought him intense pain, one that made him twist his expression as if he had been struck by a truck.
“Kent Madson.”
He gritted his teeth, saying that.
“I will kill you.” His tone was dull and cold, showing how determined he was.
He was a Level 8 Sovereign and the leader of one of the most elite yet dangerous assassin organizations on the human continent.
Just now, an affiliate of his organization, the Grim Brothers assassin unit, had been murdered. He knew that simply because of the soul marks he left on them vanished.
He had those on all his men.
So the moment they died, he became aware. But that was his plan all along. He had planned to send them to their death since he never really expected them to be able to kill Kent.
His main attack was the soul attack he used to kill the leader who was about to divulge all he knew about his employer.
While killing him was a way to keep his identity safe, his aim was Kent. He had planned to use the soul attack on him.
It was a soul talisman skill at the 7th tier he had procured at an auction. All he had to do was plant it on his subordinate, and it would have done its work.
Not that it would have worked on Kent, considering he was immune to soul attacks. But even without that, he was a Tier 10 soul cultivator. Killing him with a Tier 7 soul skill was just plain stupid.
Unfortunately for him, Kent got hold of the talisman, which contained a trace of his soul energy. He couldn’t kill him, so he used his soul to destroy it, and in doing so, the figure was struck hard.
He might be a Sovereign, but his soul was only Tier 7. Though his cultivation base could compensate for the rest, killing someone in the 10th tier was indeed foolish.
The moment he recovered from the attack, he left the room he was in and appeared in a large hall where seven hooded figures were seated.
Each reeked of death and was between Level 1 and Level 5 Root Sovereign stages. The figure walked closer to the head chair and sat down.
“How did it go, Leader?” one of the seven asked.
“He survived, but not for long.” His tone was cold as usual. He then asked, “Have you started making preparations?”
“Yes, Leader. Vastport City is surrounded, and the formations are in place,” one of them answered. “Also, there are reports that some people are already in place and after the same brat. Should we eliminate them?”
“Eliminate those that will cross our mission. Kent Madson must die before the week ends. Remember who gave us this mission and know that failure is not an option.”
“Okay, Leader.”
“Also, send word to the Evil Sects. I learned that their previous sect master is out for blood. Let them know that in four days’ time, the brat who caused them to close their doors will be trapped in Vastport City.”
“Okay, Leader.”
The seven figures melded into the shadows and left the hall. The Sovereign let out a heavy sigh and departed, leaving the hall empty.
Kent knew nothing of this, for he was not aware that a dangerous organization with roots worldwide now knew of his existence and the threat he posed to them.
However, unlike the Dark Devil Church, this organization ran much deeper, so it wasn’t hard to determine who could threaten them.
The Hand was now after Kent, and they were using the Middle Finger Assassin Guild as their weapon. Kent would have to be extra careful this time.
Meanwhile, Kent arrived at the hotel with Nara and Lady Lani, who remained quiet throughout the journey.
They just keep staring at him on the journey back to the hotel.
They hadn’t expected to watch a Root Great Sage kill 15 assassins, each at a stage higher than his own. Kent was like a death lord. He casually slaughtered the assassins as if it were a normal thing to do.
“How did you do it?” Lady Lani asked the moment they entered their suite. “How did you kill them using nothing, not even your sword?”
She was asking about the two who died when he used the [Soul Rending Glare]. It was as if he just looked at them, and they fell to their deaths.
“I used a soul attack.” Kent didn’t really have the time to hide things from her.
If she stuck around for a while, she would learn most of his secrets, so he might as well save her the shock when she found out in the future.
“But they were all Transcendents while you’re just a Great Sage. At best, you should only be able to knock them unconscious or deal soul damage. Killing them isn’t something a Great Sage should be able to do.”
“That’s because I’m not a Great Sage. I’m actually a Root Ascension in soul cultivation.” This hit her like a hammer to the soul.
“You are what…!”
Nara giggled, staring at her friend. She had been privileged to have her shocked moment back in the tower, so Kent wasn’t really surprising her.
But Lady Lani was different.
She knew that before one could reach the level of a Kingdom Protector, their soul had to reach the Tier 10 stage.
She had only ever met two people who hadn’t yet reached the Kingdom Protector stage but were at that level.
One was the sect master of the Soul Refining Sect, and the other was the sect master of the Soul Arts Sect.
Today, she met her third, and it was a mere Great Sage.
“Just how old are you?” she asked.
“Don’t worry, Lady Lani, I’m of age, so you won’t be doing anything bad getting freaky with me.”
“You… answer the question.”
Kent laughed. “I’m 18.”
Her world came undone, and even Nara widened her eyes. Kent had to carry them to their beds and tuck them in.
