Chapter 930: Going Home [Bonus]

His voice was soft. A son’s voice.

But then, his smile twisted.

A flicker of darkness curled at the corners of his grin.

His gaze sharpened.

His soul pulsed.

“…But before I go, there’s one final revelation I haven’t made yet.”

The water around him trembled.

Both primordials paused mid-curtsy.

Their heads turned in perfect sync.

Mearie narrowed her eyes.

Luminara stiffened.

“Quinnie… Why are you hiding so many things from your loving mothers?!” they said together.

But their son only smiled wider in response, shadows blooming behind his back like unfolding wings.

“This one… might break your minds a little.”

Quinlan didn’t speak any further.

Instead, he grinned. Slowly. Deeply. Like a villain preparing a monologue.

The mothers basically teleported in unison, appearing seated on his thighs with divine elegance and impatience.

“Tell us!” they demanded, pressing their foreheads to his.

But he gave them nothing.

No vision. No whisper. Not even a hint.

Just that infuriating grin of his.

Because this memory link wasn’t one of hostile extraction: it was a gift. Quinlan decided what was seen. And right now, he was showing them absolutely nothing.

Their expressions crumbled.

Both mothers pouted—hard—arms crossing under their immense, heaving chests as they turned their heads away with theatrical offense, cheeks puffed with utter betrayal.

“Cruel!” Mearie muttered.

“Heartless!” Luminara agreed.

“Primordial Villain!”

“Harbinger of Ruin!”

From the side, Feng winced as the mothers threw curses at Quinlan, using his universe-given titles as if they were undeniable proof of him being a horribly cruel person, one who enjoyed torturing even his own mothers.

That was when…

A touch.

Two fingers, gentle and warm, reached out to each of their chins.

He tilted their heads toward him. Slowly. Tenderly.

They were stronger than he, by leagues at that.

But they didn’t resist.

Something in his touch—that arrogant charm paired with his unshakable confidence—pierced past even their immense def.

They allowed it.

Their gazes flicked to him, narrowed, and blinked suspiciously. Their expressions screamed:

’Don’t you dare joke with us again, young man! Don’t you dare.’

But Quinlan…

He only smiled.

Gently. Softly. Sincerely.

And then he said:

“Mothers… you are grandmothers now.”

Blank stares.

Empty eyes.

That was what welcomed his declaration for exactly three seconds.

Then…

*BOOM!*

A spiritual detonation blasted through the atmosphere like a starburst.

Light spiraled. The merry chirping of birds ceased. The waters shook.

Their brains flatlined before a shockwave of realization roared through them.

*BADUM. BADUM. BADUM.*

Their heartbeats were so loud they echoed like war drums.

“Gr–grand-GRANDMOTHERS?!” Mearie screeched, her wings unfolding in panic.

“WHERE?! HOW?! WHO?!” Luminara cried, hair floating up as if she were in the middle of ascending.

The two primordial mothers imploded into chaos.

“Girl or boy?!”

Luminara was crying golden tears and waving her sleeves around. “I wanna cradle them so bad!”

Mearie had already pulled out scrolls, tearing open crafting blueprints. “Oh dear! Is the baby teething yet?! We need to craft a crown-safe teether so they have something to chew on to soothe their developing gums!”

“Is the baby potty trained?!”

“Who’s the mother?!”

“Is it Blossom?!”

“No, it has to be Lucille!”

“Kyaaa!!! A little elf baby from Seraphiel!!”

As the pair continued their ravings, Feng watched from a distance. “…They’re unhinged.”

Quinlan reached forward, his own laughter still echoing as he raised his hands to gently cradle each of his mothers’ faces.

They calmed only slightly under his touch, blinking rapidly at him with eyes wide and glistening, chests still heaving from the cosmic meltdown of grandmotherhood.

“I’ll show you,” he said softly, and pressed his thumbs to their brows.

Golden sigils flared to life under his fingers as he somehow, instinctively gained a grasp on how his mothers used this memory transmission method. Instead of them having to ask for his permission, it was now the primordial mothers who needed to give him their permission os that he could display his memories in their minds.

It would’ve been a cause for major shock any other day, but now, neither could spare the brainpower to recognize what he’d just done.

Thus, memories flowed unimpeded.

And what they saw…

… A twisted little geim creature, no more than a mildly sentient barked oddity.

… His hand stroking her trunk as he murmured something beneath his breath.

… A surge of essence, [Blessed Seed], reaching her bark… and then…

…She bloomed.

Hair like polished acorns. Eyes like dew-touched emeralds. Tiny leafy wings that fluttered when excited. A mischievous smile that could melt hearts or drive her caretakers to the brink of insanity.

Rosie Elysiar.

Luminara gasped as Rosie pounced on Sylvaris, Seraphiel’s mother, demanding to be treated like a real forest princess and refusing to bathe in anything but flower nectar. Mearie winced in sympathy as Natalie, Blossom’s mother, was seen desperately trying to explain what “bedtime” meant to someone who thought midnight was “story hour, every hour.”

They both began crying.

“She’s such a beautiful child…” Luminara whispered, wiping golden tears from her chin.

Mearie blew her nose with a handkerchief she’d materialized from thin air. “A strong core, radiant complexion, mischievous glint, abundant energy… she’s a truly healthy girl, Quinnie. I can’t put into words how proud I am right now…”

“And how happy we are!”

Their voices trembled.

Their pride was overflowing.

They spent hours in the pond together after that, floating, laughing, chatting. About Rosie. About the chaos she’d bring. About the others, Seraphiel’s little pranks, Kitsara’s wild energy, Ayame’s quiet cunning, Aurora’s quirky actions, Vex’s deadly devotion.

And about the future.

But time had a way of urging even gods onward.

Eventually, Quinlan rose from the water.

Serika and Feng stood waiting, already aware of what was to come.

With a final, crushing hug, he wrapped both mothers in his arms, landing a long, soft kiss on each of their foreheads.

“You’ll meet them all soon… So you must prepare.”

Luminara and Mearie sniffled, nodded, and waved. “We can hardly wait, Quinnie…”

He opened his soul realm. Serika and Feng vanished in light, safely tucked within him.

He turned toward the edge of the pond, where the veil shimmered.

And as he stepped forward, his vision turned white.

Light swallowed all.

He was leaving the primordial dimension.

He was going home.

To Thalorind.

To war.

To love.

To chaos.

To his family.
