Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family
Chapter 361 - 361: Electrifying the dogsJaku faced three bandits, all brandishing their knives towards him.
“Come on. My brother is right there. He’s punching bandits left and right. Why not go after him?!” he complained. “I’m too lazy for this…”
But the bandits continued to approach him. Their knives glowed in a unique and different color as they used their 4-star spells in succession.
A retriever-man rushed towards Jaku, with his knife glowing golden just like his fur. The Earth beneath his feet rose from the ground, following the movements of his knife.
The Dogfolk lunged towards Jaku’s throat, which Jaku parried with his sword.
The bandit swung his knife, intending to cut Jaku’s ribs. And just as Jaku was about to dodge, the ground beneath his feet caved in, giving him no support to move his feet.
The knife came towards Jaku’s chest, but just as it was about to reach him, a prismatic shield manifested around him and fought against the knife’s Earth magic.
The knife stalled in mid-air, surprising the retriever-man.
A millisecond was all Jaku needed as he swung his sword, with blue lightning emanating from the blade.
The retriever-man showed a face of fear upon seeing electricity within the blade, which gave Jaku the freedom to swing his sword and hit the dogfolk in his chest.
“Awoo!” the retriever-man whimpered.
The other two Dogfolk bandits rushed towards him right at the moment he attacked, leaving Jaku no time to recover.
Just then, Jaku’s feet became ablaze with blue lightning, before he turned into nothing but a wisp of electricity.
The two bandits lunged their knives, hitting just the air. Jaku’s sudden disappearance made them lose their footing as they stumbled to the ground.
While they were out for the fight, Jaku used this chance to chase the injured retriever-man.
Just as the dogfolk was about to recover from the fall, he suddenly saw Jaku appear in front of him and swing his sword upwards. Electricity followed through his swing, enveloping the retriever-man and carrying him directly towards one of the unoccupied seats in the carts.
“You’ll pay for this, awoo!”
The two dogfolk finally found their footing and rushed towards Jaku once again.
The shepherd-man howled at Jaku before a magic circle appeared around his knife. Soon, flames erupted all over his knife and up into a pillar above the tip, creating a semblance of a sword. He swung his sword to Jaku, and Jaku deflected the sword with his own swing. Electricity and fire clashed.
Meanwhile, the bulldog-man raised his knife and used his 4-star spell [Air Cruncher]. He swung his sword two times, one at the top and one at the bottom, leaving behind a visible wind structure made out of mana.
The wind eventually morphed into jaws resembling that of a bulldog’s mouth as it attempted to gnaw at Jaku.
Meanwhile, the shepherd-man continued to barrage Jaku with large and heavy swings, increasing the heat and intensity each time Jaku parried it.
The two were evenly matched in terms of power, and the shepherd-man was sure that Jaku would be vulnerable to the wind attack of his comrade.
But just then, Jaku’s sword glowed with a bright light as the power of the Mithril Artifact manifested itself to the Dragonborn.
Immediately, Jaku’s physical power with the sword increased by one star realm.
The shepherd-man eyes widened as he saw Jaku’s electric sword brush against his own fire sword, with the power almost enough push it out of his hands!
“What?!” the dogfolk screamed.
Jaku kicked the bandit in the chest, pushing him away before turning around and dealing with the wind attack coming right towards his face.
The jaws opened wide before clamping down towards his face. But at the last second, he used his sword and forced the jaw to remain open.
While his sword was preoccupied with the wind jaw, the bulldog-man behind it rushed towards him, intending to pierce his stomach with a knife.
Just then, electricity surged around Jaku’s sword.
And for a brief second, the sword disappeared from the wind jaws’ clutches.
Intersecting lines suddenly appeared around the wind jaws before the pieces slowly drifted away from each other, having been cut into pieces by the sword.
The magic circle in the bulldog-man’s wrist dissipated, giving a brief vulnerability inside him.
Jaku used this chance to raised his sword and use its tip to gently touch the dogfolk’s chest.
“Clear!” he said, as electricity surged from his sword onto the dogfolk, giving him a huge burst of electric shock similar to a defibrillator.
The bulldog-man shot towards one of the seats, with his body smoking as the seat belt wrapped around his chest.
“Three down,” Jaku muttered, putting his sword to his shoulders.
He looked to the side and saw Zion dodging and weaving as four bandits surrounded him from all sides.
Even though they were all in the four-star realm, Zion was able to evade their attacks through the one-star realm boost that the Mithril Artifact was giving him.
But still, there were four of them. Despite Zion being stronger than them individually, their numbers led them to achieve a stalemate. Zion couldn’t attack nor could he escape. He could only dodge.
“Hey lil bro! You need some help?” Jaku asked,
Zion scoffed. “Are you kidding me? Don’t try to take this away from me. I need the points! You already have three!”
Jaku shook his head. “We’re supposed to be a team, you know? We’re not counting bodies.”
They were already having a competition with the girls, but Zion also wanted to have a competition with the boys. He wanted to be the one that brought in the most bandits. That way, if they won, he would be the ultimate winner.
“I can handle this!” Zion said. “Just need a little bit of a pick me up!”
Just then, four knives simultaneously lunged towards him, giving him no chance to escape.
The bandits thought they had finally gotten him, but at the last second, Zion jumped up!
In mid-air, Zion took out a chocolate pellet from his pockets and immediately swallowed it whole, wrapper and all.
His body convulsed as his body activated [Sugar Rush]. His magical power almost reached the 5-star realm!
With his gauntlets glowing black and violet, Zion punched downwards, using the shockwave he created to reach higher and higher until he was above the trees, allowing him to see the entirety of the forest.
Looking down, he saw the dogfolk bandits who squinted as they looked up at him.
The ground started to rumble. No, it wasn’t the ground. It was the air above them! And the source of it all was none other than Zion himself!
Before they could react, Zion’s gauntlets released a blinding light before he punched the air, cracking the very space beneath him.
The dogfolk bandits briefly saw the cracks as it spread downwards towards them. But as soon as it reached them, they felt the force of a thousand elephants from the tip of their head down to their feet, causing an explosion from the very ground they stood on.
Soil, grass, and rock exploded around the forest, creating an instability in the forest floor.
Jaku turned into electricity and arrived just in time before the large chunks of rock crashed into the metal railway and destroyed the roller coaster.
“Haaa…” Jaku sighed. “This is why I wasn’t going all out,” he said, shaking his head at his brother’s carelessness.
