The next morning arrived at full swing, as Aquarina jumped out of her bed and the first thing she did was check her materials. Yesterday she was too tired to do all of this, but right now it was the ideal time. She was going to evolve her two Spirits into B Rank Spirits at long last!

“It’s the big day guys, we got everything now!” she said, looking at her two spirits appear in front of her.

“Really?” wondered Undine. “I see… so the time has finally come. My evolution might completely surprise you, master, so I hope you will calm yourself down after seeing me.”

“Raaarrr!” Leviathan roared cutely.

“What? Are you going to get bigger?” wondered Aquarina. “Despite all your evolutions you’re still pretty damn small…”

“I-I really hope that’s the case!” she sighed. “But let’s see what happens…” Read new chapters at NovelFire.Côm

Aquarina nodded, as she quickly decided to start, taking out her Cauldron and rapidly beginning to synthetize the materials together.

Unlike other magicians that would make a ritual and everything, she had created a brand-new way to evolve familiars.

And that was by creating unique Spirit or Familiar Evolution Stones.

By concentrating and fusing all necessary materials together into a crystal, and then feeding it to the familiar or spirit.

They would instantly evolve!

“I’ve been perfecting this technique making other evolution stones and trying them on wild monsters to see if they could get stronger…” Aquarina said. “It has worked at least half the time, so that has helped me get more EXP even out of weak monsters… And also to improve how I make these.”

She explained this as she cooked the two Evolution Stones in the cauldron, her spirits nodding as they glanced at her.

And then…

RUMBLE!

The cauldron trembled, as Aquarina stepped back, unsheathing her daggers, and noticing a giant creature emerging from the cauldron.

A phantasmal, spiritual monstrosity resembling a two-headed ghostly dragon with a head made of ice and another made of water.

“ROOOAAARRR!”

This was an Alchemy Spirit born from the Materials and their Essence!

“Aha! There you are… I knew you would show up for something big like this!”

Aquarina smiled, facing the giant Spiritual being.

Alchemy Spirits are rare most of the time, only manifesting when Alchemists are crafting the highest quality of items using the best materials.

Usually, derived from monsters, as the materials still contain their lingering soul energy and mana, and this, merged with the chaotic mana within the cauldron’s liquids, give birth to these creatures.

Their aim is simple, to stop the synthesis process and sometimes even free themselves, becoming wandering Alchemy Spirits that could wreak havoc.

This was also another reason why Alchemists in most countries required licenses and also to be decently strong themselves!

Sylphy and Aquarina had faced their good share of these monsters, and both were quite used to facing them.

“As long as I can slay you and use you as the last ingredient, my evolution stones will be a success!” Aquarina smiled defiantly.

Although the Alchemy Spirits created an unseen risk to Alchemy, they also created a good opportunity!

If they could be slain and then merged back into the synthesis process, they would greatly improve the chances of success, and even add a buff to the quality of the created product.

“GGRRHHH…!” The monster groaned, suddenly, its two jaws opened, releasing a double elemental blast against Aquarina!

TRUUUM!

Aquarina smiled, swinging her two daggers against the incoming attack, splitting it apart instantly.

SLAAASH!

As she did that, she charged forward, transforming her body, covering her body with black scales and then reaching the spirit.

The spirit didn’t stand there, it quickly extended its serpentine body, using its long tail and hitting Aquarina with immense force.

BAAAM!

Aquarina intercepted the attack using her daggers with a parry, releasing an explosion of dark flames that covered the monster’s tail.

“You’re strong, but I’m stronger!”

With the eyes of a ferocious predatory beast, Aquarina charged forward, slicing through the long tail with her daggers and making the spirit scream in agony.

SLAAASH!

At the same time, the monster attacked her, summoning dozens of ice spears and hitting her constantly. Yet her scale armor easily defended her from the piercing icy attacks.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

She leaped forward and then rushed down, hitting the spirit in the heads and slicing them with her dagger before it could do anything else.

SLAASH! SLAASH!

If she had been younger and weaker, this might had been a sizable challenge to her. But right now? Much like with Sylphy, Alchemy Spirits were only a little exercise if anything.

“GRRHHH…!”

Even without its two heads, the spirit monster tried to fight back, slashing her legs with its huge, sharp claws.

Aquarina, however, kicked it into the cauldron and then punched it angrily, forcing it to get back with everything, including its two heads.

Eventually, Aquarina closed the lid of the cauldron tightly, the spirit inside shook the cauldron angrily, but eventually, it stopped after it was fully consumed.

“I think it’s… almost done! Synthesis!”

FLAAASH!

Despite not having done any classes with Felicia, Aquarina was already understanding Alchemy more and more as she did it on “her own way”.

She was definitely not refined and was very rough around the edges. She sometimes just punched the materials until they were softer to fuse together…

But that by itself was slowly enlightening her through the path of an Alchemist of her own.

FLUOSH!

“Oooh, it worked!”

Aquarina gasped happily as she saw two beautiful Evolution Stones float out of the alchemy cauldron.

The one for Undine had a trident in the middle, and a droplet of water.

The one for Leviathan had a coiling dragon in the middle, and icicles behind.

Undine’s stone was of a dark blue color, and Leviathan’s stone was of a clear blue color.

“It’s done!” she said. “Here, absorb them quickly! Time to evolve!”

“Okay, let’s see if it works again,” nodded Undine.

“Raaarrr!” Leviathan grabbed the stone with his mouth and started biting and eating it.

As the two consumed the stones, they immediately started to evolve!

FLAAASH!
