Chapter 1022: Caught In 5K

With the mention of Vanguard Commerce Points, Natasha was quickly informed that it was mainly an exchange currency.

One could use items or coins to exchange for Vanguard Commerce Points which could then be used to purchase the items available in the guild’s shop.

Of course, the items in this particular shop were exclusive and not available in any channel, including Vanguard’s public shops. If it were available elsewhere, then why would anyone want to join the Chamber of Commerce, to begin with.

The reason why the chamber of commerce was very popular and enticing was due to the exclusive items.

"Oh, 2 copper coins equals 1 Vanguard Commerce Point. This is quite the disparity." Xu Feng mused.

"Is it possible for the tip I used earlier to be converted to Vanguard Commerce Points?" He then inquired shamelessly.

"You’ve gotta be kidding me, right?" Natasha rolled her eyes and looked at him with a disdainful expression.

Weren’t you quite arrogant and wealthy earlier? Why did you suddenly ask for the tips to be converted?

"What’s there to kid about?" Xu Feng raised an eyebrow. "I never claimed to be some high-class folk who wore fancy and expensive equipment."

"Then why were you speaking as if you’re filthy rich?" Argued Natasha.

"Your face annoyed me, so I did some provocation to get the membership without requiring to pay for some tour guide. But now that I’m a member, I no longer need to care about my behavior." Xu Feng admitted.

His swift change in attitude caused both Natasha and Kailey to twitch their mouths in disbelief.

However, the most affected one had to be Natasha who felt like she had witnessed something unbelievable.

Not only did the latter provoke her on purpose to rile her up into making an impulsive decision, but they even taunted her further on how foolish her behavior was.

As for Kailey, she was only momentarily stunned before coming to a realization.

’This kind of shamelessness, cunningness, and shrewdness. Our Vanguard Guild must recruit him at all costs.’ Kailey thought to herself.

Her desire to recruit someone like Nathan intensified further when she understood his behaviorism was precisely the Vanguard Guild’s motif.

Sometime later, Kailey nodded her head and converted the so-called tips into Vanguard Commerce Points.

"Okay, the conversion is done and you are free to browse the shop whenever you want. But keep in mind that the items in the shop are confidential and should not be leaked." She explained and once again emphasized the need for confidentiality.

"Thank you for your help, Miss Kailey." Xu Feng thanked her and appreciated her swift action.

Meanwhile, Natasha seethed in jealousy when she saw how Xu Feng really got his tip converted into points. She also wanted to do the same, but her face wasn’t thick enough to raise such a shameful request.

’Should I or should I not ask?’ Natasha struggled internally. Just when she made up her mind and was about to raise the request, she noticed Xu Feng giving her a sly look, almost as if he was anticipating her to follow in his footsteps.

’No, Natasha. You are better than this. It’s just some extra coins going to waste. I can just get more from the Illuminati. I shouldn’t stoop to this shameless man’s level.’ She shook her head and redefined her determination.

Seeing Natasha shaking her head, Xu Feng nearly wanted to laugh aloud.

’That’s right, Natasha. You stay honorable to save yourself some face. How dare you try to take back the money you deposited into my guild?’ He sneered inwardly.

He purposely gave her a sly look to prevent her from pulling the exact same stunt. Additionally, Natasha’s extra money could go into Kailey’s pocket due to her fantastic effort.

This way, Xu Feng didn’t need to use his own wallet to reward Kailey.

"Anyway, can we enter the training hall now?" Annoyed and filled with anger, Natasha could no longer stand being outside. She wanted to immediately check out this rumored training hall and verify how effective it was.

Afterward, she would leave this bleeding money town. She had a feeling that all her money would soon be drained by this town if she were to remain any longer.

It hadn’t even been over 20 minutes since she arrived in town, but the overall wealth that she brought with her had already decreased by at least 35%.

"Yes, we can." Kailey clasped her hands and instructed them to simply activate the tokens which a prompt would then appear asking for confirmation.

Without hesitation, Xu Feng activated the token. As his silhouette vanished from the scene, Natasha swiftly activated hers to prevent the former from getting ahead of her.

As the two of them vanished, Kailey’s smile glistened.

"You’ve all taken a good clear screenshot, right?" She turned her attention to a particular corner.

Soon, two people emerged from the shadow and nodded. "Rest assured, I’ve got it all in full 5K."

"Mhmm, but there’s another person involved. Should we post about him as well or not?"

These two people were someone DataSeer and OneManMedia had recruited.

They don’t belong to the Vanguard Guild on the system, but the truth was that they were a part of it.

They were reporters in the real world before being dismissed and fired from their respective companies for exposing some high-ranked people in society.

The person who took the pictures was called Carlton and the one beside him was Rodney. Although Rodney didn’t take any pictures, his storytelling to make exciting articles for netizens to click on and attract attention was extremely high.

When Kailey heard Rodney’s question as to whether to include Nathan’s name in the article or not, she was somewhat hesitant.

After all, their goal was Natasha. But if they only reported her in the article and omitted Nathan. Then it was easy to make Natasha think that Nathan was the one who leaked her information.

"You can begin writing the article, Rodney. I’ll ask the Guild Leader whether to include the other person or not." Kailey said softly.
