“Raise my grade to the Ancestral Level?” Gilgamar sounded truly surprised.
He had never entertained the idea that he could actually power up. It was a strange thought to have for a Sentient Weapon.
“Yes.” Elliot said.
“How? How do you plan to do that?” Gilgamar asked Elliot suspiciously.
“I have my ways. You got repaired, didn’t you? Do you see a forge here? Or a blacksmith?” Elliot waved the sword around.
“I can’t see, you blithering boombox.” Gilgamar growled. “Do YOU see an eyeball somewhere on me?”
“Oh. Haha! I thought you could sense your surroundings or something.” Elliot responded sheepishly. “No? Well I repaired you without even needing a blacksmith. And not just repair, I even enhanced your power, right? Trust me, if you accept me as your new master and give me your very best, I will definitely be able to raise your grade to Ancestral.”
“Enhanced power? What non- hmmm. My resistances have gone up. And… What’s this new power I sense?” Gilgamar muttered.
At that moment, a thought struck Elliot and his eyes widened slightly.
“Oh my god. Do NOT tell me he gained some spidery power.” Elliot thought to himself in slight trepidation.
“Hey, I think I am able to deal energy-based poison damage now. What did you do to me?” Gilgamar asked in a slightly surprised voice.
For an originally cold and rigid sounding Sentient Weapon, that slightly surprised voice was probably equivalent to Elliot’s “WHAT THE HECK DID YOU JUST DO TO ME?!?!”
“Like it? That’s just the tip of the iceberg of all the good stuff that I could do to you.” Elliot said smugly.
However, in his mind, he was actually sighing in relief!
“Thank goodness he didn’t grow a set of spider legs or gain the ability to shapeshift into a spider.” Elliot thought to himself.
“Well. Poison is sneaky and underhanded. Tyrius would never use it. He was much too straight laced and righteous for that. And as such, he was completely blindsided when the other four Archangels, his sworn brothers and sisters, poisoned him.
He would never have died if it wasn’t for that debilitating poison which paralyzed his body almost completely…” Gilgamar paused for a moment as a sharp wave of sorrow mixed with anger swept over the entire mindspace.
“But it is good to be able to wield the power that killed him. I will use it against the descendants of his killer. Fine. I agree. Three descendants. You will wield me to kill the Supreme Leader’s three most powerful and influential offspring.” Gilgamar finally gave in.
“Deal.” Elliot instantly replied.
“And apart from killing those three…” Gilgamar hesitated lightly at that point.
“What else? Just tell me.” Elliot encouraged him.
“I would like to eventually be wielded by Tyrius’ offspring. I will accompany you for as long as you need, of course. You can wield me until you get a stronger weapon than me. But after that…”
“Of course. As soon as I am able, I will search for his offspring, and let you pick which one you’d like to be your next master.” Elliot promised him.
“Good. Enough talking. Now, use me to kill some strong enemies. I will fine tune your attacks and make you the most powerful sword master in the area of the Universe!” Gilgamar said. “The stronger you get, the faster the day of my vengeance would arrive!”
“That’s exactly what I want to hear from you. Alright. By the end of this day, let’s wipe the entire State of California clean of all the King level and Lord level beasts!” Elliot stood up and raised his sword up high heroically!
“Very cool. Very gallant! Let’s go!” Gilgamar was affected by Elliot’s enthusiasm and spoke much louder than usual!

“What an awkward po-“
“He is so cool!” Void Walker gushed like a giddy schoolgirl as she leapt out of her seat and began to hop around excitedly.
Jul’Taras snapped her mouth shut and swallowed the rest of her sentence.
Next to her, Monkey King snickered softly.
“What are you snickering at, you damned monkey.” Jul’Taras grumbled.
“It has only been a short time since I informed my uncle of your Patriarch’s agreement. Hegemon Autumn Snow is still probably tying up loose ends. She should be here by tonight.” Jul’Taras said. “Don’t worry. Elliot is still in the game. As long as he’s there, he’s safe.”
“Not necessarily. They might make things difficult by sending in Inserts to deal with him. I never expected that he would find a use for that Forbidden Box so quickly. I was hoping that he would use it after the recruitment of Adamantium Sponsors and Inserts are over. Now, he’ll have to face a horde of Inserts with illegally obtained Adamantium grade boons chasing after him.” Monkey King frowned and shook his head helplessly.
“Oh don’t be such a worrywart. Elliot will be fine! Didn’t you see just how powerful he became after ingesting that Dragon Blood? It’s probably a concentrated drop of Red Dragon Blood! If so, he should be able to transform more than just his right arm. He might even be able to transform his left arm as well! And when that happens, he’ll be unstoppable!” Jessica Sands scolded Monkey King lightly.
“He is an inexperienced fighter with zero techniques and zero spells at his disposal. Against mindless beasts, yes, he can prevail like he had always done. But against real fighters… I am afraid that he would have absolutely no chance at all.” Monkey King said.
“He would need to master at least a movement technique, a disabling technique and a powerful killing blow to even gain the QUALIFICATIONS to fight against a few of the stronger inserts!”
“Yeah? Well, thank God that my secondary boon is my own personally upgraded version of the Blink spell, then!” Jessica Sands grinned gleefully. “Blink could be considered as a movement technique, right?”
At that, both Monkey King and Jul’Taras shouted, ‘WHAT?!”
