Every eye turned to look at Elliot.
Without him, there would be no mission.
“I acce-” Elliot started to say. However, before he could finish, Jennifer suddenly shouted loudly!
“NO!” She said fiercely. “My big bro is not going anywhere until compensation is made for our grievances!”
“Grievances?” Saint Dul’Akharat asked the little girl gently.
“Yes!” Jennifer said with an impassioned voice. “You guys came to our home, destroyed our cities, and forced us to participate in your stupid games!
You turned our lives upside down, took everything away from us, and now you want to send my brother to harm’s way to save your stupid universe? Ha! What a joke! Your stupid universe can burn for all I care and join my planet in ruins and destruction!” Jennifer did not mince words and immediately levelled her most powerful accusation at the Primals!
“Hmmmm.” Elliot frowned and immediately nodded in agreement. In his journey to great power which was so full of massive surprises one after another, his great anger towards the “aliens” that had caused him so much pain had been subconsciously set aside!
Plus with his sisters safe and sound, he was so completely and single mindedly focused on gaining the required strength to keep them safe that way that his obsession had shifted slightly from revenge to powering up.
Once again, all eyes turned. But this time, it went to the Chairman of the Gaming Commission, El’Taras.
He was the mastermind behind the hugely popular Games, and he was the one who reaped the most benefits. So naturally, he would be the one to make compensations.
“Ah yes. That is my fault indeed.” Chairman El’Taras admitted without hesitation. “I will bear all the responsibility and I will immediately request for the Void Walkers to turn back time for your planet once more. All the cost for that endeavor will be borne by the Gaming Commission. What do you think of that?”
“Not acceptable. I don’t want to lose my powers.” Jennifer said flatly. Somehow, in the negotiation for the fate of planet Earth, Jennifer had become the lead negotiator.
“I agree. If you want to reverse time for planet earth, make sure you don’t take my power away. I don’t want to be weak and be left at the mercies of you evil aliens again.” Jessica said resolutely.
“That will not happen. I will not let any harm to befall my disciples for as long as breath remains in my body.” Primal Lilian smiled gently at them. “Plus, reverse time walk will take effect for all the souls within a specific location. If you are not within the area of effect when the spell takes form, you will not be thrown back in time.”
“Even if it’s acceptable, we can’t do such a thing, I am afraid. Planet Wide reverse time walk is exceedingly difficult, if not completely impossible, to execute. All of my most powerful Void Walkers are in fact, still very much in awe over how Jessica, my granddaughter, managed to pull off such a mind blowing feat.” Harold Sands shook his head helplessly.
“Your wish is my command, Saint Dul’Akharat. I will get my granddaughter here immediately.” Harold Sands bowed before disappearing in a flash.
Elliot turned to look at Chairman El’Taras and looked at him seriously.
“The blood of trillions are upon your hands, Chairman.” Elliot said coldly.
Chairman El’Taras smiled a ghastly smile that was without emotion and merely raised his palm horizontally facing up.
A vision of Jennifer saying vehemently “… your stupid universe can burn for all I care!…” appeared for a moment.
However, another vision appeared straight after that, depicting a younger El’Taras standing in space ahead of a small group of similar youths.
Before them was a planet completely in flames.
“The whole universe will burn before I allow another of our planets to be sacrificed this way.” The young El’Taras said softly but still audibly.
“The Taras massacre? You were alive then? You’re much older than I thought, Taras boy.” A dwarf Primal rumbled from the far end of the table.
“The Taras massacre was the reason you formed the Gaming Commission and its highly annoying tentacles spreading out the entire known universe? Had I known that, I wouldn’t have participated in that massacre.” A massive green dragon Primal chuckled lightly.
El’Taras ignored him, and the visions atop his palm flashed once more, showing planet after planet being massacred and enslaved.
For food, for space, for slaves, for resources, and not a few were for fun.
After a few long minutes, Chairman El’Taras finally said, “It’s either my hands, or others.”
“It would have happened either way. If not now under El’Taras, it would be in a thousand years under Southern Glory, the Empire closest to you. They will never allow Earth to grow into a super power. They will harvest you before you could bloom.” Saint Dul’Akharat said objectively.
Elliot turned to Primal Alexander questioningly.
Although he didn’t say it, Primal Alexander knew exactly what he was thinking. “Did it happen to your earth as well?” His gaze seemed to ask.
“My earth is still in one piece. I made sure of that.” Primal Alexander told him privately.
Elliot nodded, but his frown remained.
“I completely understand. Whether or not earth would be harvested by Southern Glory, it does not negate the fact that I was the one behind Earth’s current fate.
Thus my offer. I will make it as though it never happened, and I will offer you compensation, as much as you deem satisfactory.” Chairman El’Taras said smoothly.
Of course he did not mention that he had already pledged his wealth to Elliot and his vicious and cold blooded new “Chief Minister”!
“Rectify your mistakes, and offer up six hundred, no twelve hundred of your most precious treasures! Four hundred each for big bro, Jess and me.” Jennifer said loudly.
Chairman El’Taras nodded. “Treasure is not a problem.”
“Plus your bloodline!” Jessica said eagerly. “I want your special eye power too!”
