Bet You Don't Die
The Grandmaster learned about the Gem People’s secret from the Gem Country, and he used the power of the Infinity Stones to extract the blood of the Gem People. The Gem Person that he sold to Tivan was only an experiment he did while using a high quality of gems.
But he couldn’t directly use the Infinity Stones for this experiment as the blood of the Gem People instantly diluted as soon as it came into contact with the Infinity Stones. After searching for something that could hold the Infinity Stones’ power, this magical lake of power turned out to be the solution he sought!
The water in this place would absorb any abnormality in the blood, and thus the highest degree of fusion would be obtainable here. This water would also bring out mutation and secondary evolution to anything that touched it. The Gorilla and the Butterfly that Heike and Ruzie transformed into was the product of this mutation of their genes.
After obtaining this secret, the Grandmaster decisively injected the Gem People’s body with the water of this lake and used the Time Stone to accelerate their growth. He also used the Space Stone to separate them from each other, making a visible line so that they wouldn’t mix with each other and he also used the Soul Stone to protect the souls inside of each Stones while the time was accelerated!
As long as he followed each step carefully, the Infinity Stones would receive a body and the Grandmaster would be able to bring them to life! This plan was insane! Dio couldn’t even believe that something like this was possible! If the Grandmaster succeed, no one would be able to take the Infinity Stones from him as it would be completely integrated with his soul!
This was definitely his last chance to take it by force! Dio was glad that he left Earth as soon as he could. Otherwise, he would be late to stop the Grandmaster and return everything back to normal!
“So, you’ve already succeeded?” Dio asked curiously.
“No, not yet! The impurity inside each body has to be purified first, so I need more time! I don’t want my beloved Infinity Stones end up in an unsightly body later!” The Grandmaster said with a smile on his face. Dio nodded as he knew that he still had more time to figure things out. Dio couldn’t help but kept on holding on to the Nether Bead on his pocket.
“Well, where did you find this Ad.Pierian? Can you sell her to me?” The Grandmaster said as he pointed his finger towards Ruzie.
“I can sell her to you, but what are you going to do to her?” Dio asked curiously. Ruzie was shocked by Dio’s word, but Dio gave a sign in a particular fashion that Ruzie couldn’t help but stay quiet and trust Dio for her own safety.
The Red Skull saw the interaction between Dio and Ruzie clearly, but for some reason, he didn’t report it to the Grandmaster, but instead choose to pretend not seeing anything at all! Dio wondered what was inside The Red Skull’s mind right now. Did this mean that the Red Skull wasn’t exactly on the Grandmaster’s side?
“I need her to filter all the impurities inside the water quickly! Once the Ad.Pierian people was put on the filtration system, the speed of removing impurities and injecting the water inside the Infinity Stones’ bodies would increase significantly.” The grandmaster said excitedly.
“I already caught a bunch of Ad.Pierian before, but it was unfortunate that they couldn’t even withstand the water for longer than half a day! But I think the one you brought this time should be stronger than anyone I captured earlier!” The Grandmaster said with a sad face.
“Does it really have to be Ad.Pierians?” Dio asked curiously.
“I already tried it with other races, but none of them could withstand the water more than several minutes! It was such a pain to clean up the mess every time!” The Grandmaster said with a disappointed look on his face.
Dio nodded his head. He understood that there was no point in other race to drink the water from the lake. Then again, it made sense, as the Ad.Pierian wouldn’t be so special if that weren’t the case!
“I can give her to you, but I don’t want to give her to you just like that. Thus, I want to gamble! I will use her as the reward this time!” Dio said as he smiled towards the Grandmaster.
“Well, what do you want from me? but remember that the Ad.Pierian wasn’t really all that important for me!” The Grandmaster said with a shrug. Dio glanced at his surroundings. He knew that he couldn’t ask for the Infinity Stones, so he was looking for anything that could help him delay the Grandmaster’s plan.
“Bet on all these equipment here! If I lose, I will give you the Ad.Pierian, but if I win, I will smash all of the equipment in this place!” Dio said with a smile on his face. The Grandmaster was startled by Dio’s demand, and thus he immediately assessed the profit he would have this time. He knew that he would be able to save some time if he won, but he would be wasting time if he lost!
Then again, the Grandmaster wasn’t a man that would risk losing!
“Alright, but in turn, I will decide the game myself!” The Grandmaster said with a smirk on his face.
“Alright, what game do you want to play?” Dio said as he groaned, but he knew that he had to accept the Grandmaster’s term.
“Well, it’s simple! You will win if you can drink that water without dying!” The Grandmaster said with a full on taunting smirk. Dio immediately raised his eyebrows as he heard the Grandmaster’s game. It was clear that the Grandmaster was still thinking about taking profit!
“Don’t worry, I will play fairly! I will use the Ad.Pierian well after you die! But if you win, you are free to destroy all these equipment.” The Grandmaster said proudly. “So, do you accept this little bet?” The Grandmaster asked curiously.
“Of course! It’s a deal!” Dio said as he summoned [Osiris] immediately!
