Chapter 789 The snap of fingers carrying hope

Dio pondered for a moment and took a step back. He admitted that Hulk might be a better candidate than himself, and the Hulk’s resistance towards those kinds of things should be higher.

Banner immediately grabbed the Gauntlet as soon as Dio backed away.

“Are you ready?” Tony asked solemnly.

“Bring it on!” Banner said excitedly.

“Remember, you have to bring all casualties back when the Grandmaster snapped his finger! Don’t try to make unnecessary changes!” Tony warned. Banner just nodded his head, and everyone took a step back from him.

“Friday, activate the ultimate defense system!” Tony said as his A.I immediately moved according to his will. The entire Avenger Base was immediately covered with a super alloy that Tony and Shuri had been working on to prevent any accidents from spreading out from the Avenger’s base.

“Everyone, get back!” Banner confidently said as he put on the Gauntlet. The Gauntlet itself began to enlarge, suiting Banner’s huge hands in the process. But as the Gauntlet was completely equipped, a surge of energy from the Infinity Stones immediately brought Banner down to the ground!

The Infinity Stones’ energy crept towards Banner’s body and burned his clothes while also severely injuring his arms. The pain from his wounds made Hulk roar in pain, shaking the ground where everyone stood.

“Take it off of him!” Thor said nervously, but he didn’t dare approach the Hulk at all.

“Bruce, how are you doing?” Steve anxiously asked as he realised that he couldn’t mess around right now. He knew that he couldn’t take the Gauntlet off of the Hulk right now as he was basically their only choice.

She couldn’t see Nebula came with a dagger from the back!

“Blame it on your bad luck, but it doesn’t matter! When my father leads his army later, you will die a horrible death! Dying in my hands wouldn’t be so bad after all.” Nebula said as she pulled out her dagger from Shuri’s body.

Shuri fell to the ground and struggled to compress her wound. She tried to get away, at least to warn the others of what was to come. But she had already suffered a severe hemorrhage, and her vision was starting to blur. Nebula immediately turned back towards the control panel and activated the Tunnel.

The Quantum Tunnel began to operate once more, and many spaceships broke out of the Tunnel and destroyed the base as it flew outside. Nebula just looked at the whole scene with excitement. She thought her father would certainly praise her for what she did.

At the same time Nebula made her move, Hulk also screamed out loud and snapped his finger with all his might. A white flash blinded everyone for a split second, but after that, nothing seemed to happen. The Hulk fell to the ground, and the Gauntlet fell off of his hand too.

“Bruce!” Tony shouted as he anxiously rushed towards Banner, and Barton kicked the Infinity Gauntlet away disgustedly.

“Don’t touch him! let me tend to him!” Dio immediately stopped Tony, who wanted to wrap the Hulk’s broken arm. He summoned the World, put his hand on Hulk’s broken arm, and activated the Reality Overwrite. Although it took a lot of Souls to purge the Infinity Stone’s energy, he still could heal Banner’s arm just fine.

But the [World]’s hands immediately scalded and eroded as it touched Hulk’s skin. Dio obviously frowned as he too felt the pain from [The World], but he wouldn’t let go. This kind of minor injury was incomparable to Hulk’s injury, and if The Hulk’s injury wasn’t treated in time, it might become irreversible!

Scott walked towards the window while Dio was concentrating on treating Hulk, but he couldn’t mask his surprise as soon as he saw the scene outside!

A phone rang at the same time, and it was Barton’s phone. His hand started to shake as he saw the caller’s id. It was Laura, his missing wife!
