“I have found you.” Qill grinned. His ena erupted from his body to strengthen his body. His right hand reached for the sword on the left, ready to pull it out.

However, Nathan actually summoned a huge sphere in his right hand. The sphere broke apart as if they had been sliced evenly, creating numerous smaller spheres.

“!!!” Qill widened his eyes, noticing what the opponent was up to. ‘Projectiles?’

Qill wanted to go right away, but if the enemies used projectile attacks, his blade wouldn’t be the perfect counter. Hence, he didn’t pull his blade.

Instead, he put both of his hands to the front, forming a thick shield with his ena.

‘Such a huge and powerful attack…’ Qill gulped down, wondering if this shield was enough to stop them.

“What’s going on?” The people finally made the last turn, finding Qill and Nathan. They panicked, knowing that the two summoners were about to fight.

“!!!” Qill, on the other hand, glanced back. He couldn’t care less about their survival, but he didn’t know how the boss would react if all these people died, especially in his presence.

Besides, normal people were useful for other things. “Hey, you guys—!”

In those two seconds he was distracted, Nathan leaped toward him, closing the gap between them.

“Tsk!” Qill clicked his tongue and blocked Nathan’s projectile attacks… or that was what he was supposed to do until he found out Nathan was actually charging at him with his body.

‘Huh? What’s going on? He’s not attacking with those spheres? Why does he throw away his advantage? Should I grab my sword instead of defending? If it’s close combat, I won’t lose.’

Qill hesitated and ultimately decided to use his blade. Even if Nathan somehow stopped him, he would still be standing between him and those spheres. Hence, Nathan would be the first person to die.

But all that distraction and hesitation had given enough time for Nathan to reach Qill before his hand could grab his sword.

Nathan punched Qill’s barrier.

‘What is this? It’s freaking heavy. How strong is this guy?’ Qill gritted his teeth.

Nathan tried to kick Qill on the knee to knock him down, but Qill skillfully locked Nathan’s leg in place with his own. With both of them not being able to move, they should be completely fine. At the very least, Nathan wouldn’t dare to shoot all those bullets behind him.

“You guys. Hurry—!” Before he could tell them to report the situation, Nathan smiled.

The fact that Nathan couldn’t break the shield despite possessing a much stronger power was not because Qill was more adept in close combat. It was because Nathan didn’t put too much ena into his fist. After all, the ena that both his hands could release had reached its limit.

The right hand formed those bullets while his left hand had already created bullets… just a bit earlier than the right hand.

The moment he smiled, bullets suddenly pierced through the building’s wall.

“!!!” Qill widened his eyes in shock. ‘What? There are bullets inside the building? Wait.’

Qill panicked. All those bullets had been placed in a way that it would align with his body. As a result, he might die if he couldn’t dodge it.

He couldn’t jump away or move because his leg was locking Nathan’s leg in place. Or more like Nathan had tricked him in order to lock his movement.

Once there was nothing he could do anymore, Qill’s last trick was to let Nathan overpower him.

That was right. He let Nathan push him to the ground.

“Kh!” Qill gritted his teeth, but he managed to get away from those bullets. “Hurry up and report to the leader!”

Qill succeeded in giving them an order this time, but he suddenly panicked, recalling the bullets that had yet to be fired off. “NO! Watch out!”

Before he could even send a warning, Nathan had already sent forth his bullets.

The bullets flashed in Qill’s eyes for a second as a series of screams echoed inside the alley.

“Aahhhh!”

“!!!” Qill panicked. Without looking, he knew those guys had died, unable to stop the ena bullets.

“Come forth!” Qill realized he was too arrogant. He didn’t even summon his familiars before it was too late.

Unfortunately, even if he could summon his familiar, there was nothing he could do to change his fate.

Three familiars appeared out of thin air, but all of a sudden, another wave of bullets flashed in his eyes.

‘What? Why are there bullets again? No. Did he not release everything?’ Qill’s face turned pale.

His familiars were ready to fight, but they miscalculated one thing.

When they were about to block those bullets, Fenrir leaped off the rooftop.

“!!!”

The three familiars had to choose whether to block Fenrir or the bullets.

Two of the familiars ultimately turned around and struck Fenrir, while the other familiar used every bit of his power to stop those bullets.

Unfortunately for them, Fenrir overpowered them and knocked the two familiars to the ground with his paws before biting the third familiar.

With the third familiar unable to block the attack, Fenrir lifted up the other two familiars so that the bullets would hit them. Of course, this also meant Fenrir would be hit by these bullets.

And this was something that all of Nathan’s familiars couldn’t replicate.

He simply stood still, receiving the full brunt of Nathan’s attack. His fur weakened the bullets before his tough body withstood the attack without even a single scratch.

Meanwhile, the two familiars couldn’t do anything against the bullets and ended up with multiple holes in their bodies.

“NO—!” Qill was enraged, trying to shake Nathan off him. But Nathan had just shown him he could send the bullets in multiple waves.

Of course, it also meant some bullets still remained inside the building. And it was time for them to come out.

“!!!” Qill gritted his teeth as he could only see the remaining bullets that would kill him. He couldn’t even use his familiars, abilities, or even his sword. Nathan simply tricked him the entire time.

“Shi—!”
