Chapter 366:
“Hello, Da Ho hyung.”
Seo-jun greeted him with a bright smile as he got into the car. Ahn Da Ho, who was sitting in the driver’s seat, also smiled and welcomed Seo-jun.
“Welcome. Did you prepare well for the audition?”
“I worked hard.”
Ahn Da Ho noticed the crumpled script in Seo-jun’s hand.
It was a short script for the audition, but it looked more wrinkled because of the few pages.
The manager looked at the hard-working actor with a warm smile and opened his mouth.
“It’s been a while since you auditioned, right? After the children’s play Spring?”
“Yes.”
Seo-jun nodded and answered.
He seemed a bit excited for his first audition in a long time.
Ahn Da Ho recalled the young Seo-jun who captivated everyone on the wide stage with his acting.
The children’s play ‘Spring’.
It was the first work that Ahn Da Ho did after becoming Seo-jun’s manager.
That’s why he remembered it more clearly and had more affection for it.
‘He was 8 years old then…’
“It’s been 10 years already.”
Time had passed so quickly.
He had done his best for 10 years, but he didn’t know if he had helped him or not.
As Ahn Da Ho was thinking that, he heard Seo-jun’s voice.
“It’s only been 10 years. Let’s stay together for a long time, Da Ho hyung.”
At Seo-jun’s words, Ahn Da Ho smiled and handed him a few sheets of paper that he had placed on the passenger seat.
“Yeah, let’s do that. Oh, take a look at this while we’re going.”
Seo-jun took the paper from Ahn Da Ho and sat down.
It wasn’t a synopsis of a new work since they were going to an audition right now.
“What is this?”
“It’s the first candidate for the light stick design contest. We had a meeting and chose it from the ones you picked.”
“You already picked the first one?”
“It was easy because it was unanimous. The problem is how to make it. We might have to modify the design if the production technology is not available, but we’ll try to stick to that design as much as possible.”
The car that started up slowly left the apartment parking lot.
At Ahn Da Ho’s words, Seo-jun smiled softly and turned the first page.
He could tell what it was just by looking at the design.
Seo-jun smiled brightly and said.
“I didn’t think this would happen.”
“Right? This one had the most votes, so I think the fans will like it too. And you can use it as a decoration when you’re not using it as a light stick, so it’s very versatile. The basic design is also a good idea. And of course, there’s Jin Natra and baby Seo-jun too!”
Ahn Da Ho had already talked to the broadcasting station and the production company about it, and they liked it too.
It was the execution power of Team 2, which was in charge of Seo-jun.
Seo-jun looked at the paper with admiration.
The first light stick design that was chosen unanimously was a post by a newbie who used the nickname ‘I want to be a fanboy’.
[I collected all of Seo-jun’s works that I can’t miss!]
[Author: I want to be a fanboy]
You must have thought about it while looking at the designs, newbies.
Ah… I can’t just have one work when I see the other works…! I want to have both Snowball from My Royal Physician and Ticket Ball from Over The Rainbow! Not to mention Jin Natra and baby Seo-jun!
Seo-jun’s works are all indispensable!
So I designed this.
A light stick that you can change!
You can keep the handle as it is and put on a model of your favorite work on top of the handle! (Of course, I think Cocoa Entertainment will take care of the specifications and other details of the models. Please do. Cocoa:))
And since it’s a light stick for Seo-jun and newbies, we can’t leave out newbies!
I prepared a basic light stick design too.
A transparent square case.
Put a green sprout full of life in the center. It would look pretty when it sparkles.
But that alone is not enough, so I added green sprout balls (?).
If you shake it, it will look like sprouts are falling from the sky haha.
If you leave it alone, it looks like a green meadow covered with sprouts.
And here’s the point!
Make a gap on one side of the transparent square case.
It’s a place to put a photo! You can change it to any Seo-jun from any work at any time!
Put your favorite Seo-jun’s photo and cheer for him together!
-What a brilliant idea…!
-It would cost a lot of money to buy models for each work, but I support this design with both hands and feet.
-The basic design is also very nice!
=I was very sad as a fan who loves newbies because all the popular designs were work designs??
-Putting Seo-jun’s photo in… I think it would be fine with just one light stick.
=22 It’s perfect for me who only has empty seats.
=333 I’m still a student and I don’t have money, so I was sad until the middle?? I want to put Seo-jun oppa’s profile picture!
Some of the comments were also printed.
Seo-jun was happy to see the reactions of his beloved newbies.
“There are also permission comments below.”
“Permission comments?”
Ahn Da Ho smiled and said to Seo-jun, who tilted his head.
“The fan who made Snowball from My Royal Physician and the fan who made Snowball… Ticket Ball? Anyway, the fan who made the design from Over The Rainbow. And also, the fans who made the designs that had a lot of votes. They left comments saying that they allow us to use their designs.”
“Wow…”
They were fans who gathered with love for Seo-jun. They were proud to hear that their designs could come out as cool light sticks and gave permission.
-If Cocoa doesn’t make it, should we make it ourselves!
=It feels like you already have a plan at the point where it’s an exclamation mark instead of a question mark???
=???? When will you do the quantity survey!
Ahn Da Ho opened his mouth, remembering some comments that were full of plans to make it themselves if Cocoa Entertainment didn’t.
“We’re going to sign a contract with the newbies as we use their designs. Besides, the broadcasting station and the production company have the copyrights of the works, and the newbies made the designs, so there will be a lot of things to discuss.”
Contract.
Seo-jun was worried about the fans who were just ordinary people.
“Please take good care of our newbies, Da Ho hyung.”
At Seo-jun’s request, Ahn Da Ho smiled brightly.
***
The movie production company, Dahong.
Ahn Da Ho got out of the car and said to Seo-jun, who was wearing a black hat.
“Seo-jun, do you want to go in first? I have something to tell them upstairs.”
“Okay. I got it.”
“Call me if anything happens.”
Seo-jun parted ways with Ahn Da Ho and walked away.
There was an arrow drawn on an A4 paper with the words ‘audition room’.
He saw people coming out from the opposite direction.
They seemed to be the guardians of the child actors who had arrived earlier.
It seemed that they didn’t stay together until the end of the audition like they did for the children’s play ‘Spring’, since they were all high school students.
‘I won’t be able to see it directly since only one actor and the judges go into the audition room.’
He felt a bit sorry about that.
Unlike the child who was frozen and couldn’t go on stage or the one who escaped early, most of the children here were probably skilled actors.
“They told me to go at the academy.”
“I told myself to go. It’s a movie with Seo-jun. I can’t miss this opportunity. How can I?”
Hmm.
There were always children who auditioned because of their parents’ pressure, regardless of their age.
It seemed that the academy was added to that list.
Seo-jun shrugged his shoulders and headed inside.
Lee Yoon-ju, a staff member of Dahong who was guiding the child actors, noticed Seo-jun.
“Are you here for the audition?”
Seo-jun smiled and answered her question.
“Yes.”
“What’s your name?”
Lee Yoon-ju lowered her eyes to the audition participant list that was sparsely checked.
She was checking the list to see if there was anyone who failed the document screening or sneaked in after hearing that Seo-jun was participating.
“Lee Seo-jun.”
“Yes. Seo… Seo-jun?”
Lee Yoon-ju, who was unconsciously repeating his name, looked at Seo-jun in surprise. Seo-jun, who was wearing a black hat, smiled brightly.
“…!”
Lee Yoon-ju, who used the nickname ‘I want to be a fanboy’ and was the first candidate for the light stick design contest, opened her mouth wide.
It was Seo-jun.
It was really Seo-jun.
She felt like her heart was going to stop from the shock.
She understood why there were hardly any sightings of Seo-jun.
He looked like an ordinary student even when he was right in front of her.
If she saw him on the street, she would have passed by without noticing him.
‘No. I might have passed by without noticing him until now.’
Lee Yoon-ju, who was frozen for a moment, opened her mouth as if she remembered something.
“Ah! Do you want to wait here? Or we prepared a separate waiting room for you.”
“I’ll wait here.”
Seo-jun smiled softly and said. Lee Yoon-ju blinked blankly.
‘Why are his eyelashes so long and his skin so good and his features so sharp…!’
Seo-jun, who she saw in person, was more handsome than what she saw on the screen.
She was so nervous that she couldn’t look at him properly.
She felt like every minute and second was precious, but she was too shaky to do anything.
Lee Yoon-ju, whose face turned red, quickly checked Seo-jun’s name on the list and reached for a number tag.
Then she stopped her hand.
‘Seo-jun had a different order…’
The planning team leader had set a different order for him, but she forgot about it because she met Seo-jun in person and lost her mind.
Seo-jun tilted his head at her motionless movement. Lee Yoon-ju made a faint sound.
“Ah!”
She barely remembered that Seo-jun was supposed to audition last and took out the last number tag.
Lee Yoon-ju tried to hide her pounding heart and handed him the number tag with a slightly trembling hand.
“You’re, you’re the last one, so please wait comfortably.”
“Thank you.”
It was too short, but Lee Yoon-ju, who met her star, headed toward the child actor who just came in with a bit of regret and a bit of excitement.
She had to change her nickname. From ‘I want to be a fanboy’ to ‘I became a fanboy’.
***
Seo-jun entered the waiting room with his number tag and looked around.
It seemed like they had changed an office that was used as a meeting room into a waiting room.
There were warm drinks and snacks wrapped individually for the cold weather.
The child actors who came in earlier were all too nervous to touch the drinks or snacks.
The child actors who passed the first document screening were given scripts for the audition.
It wasn’t [Working Title: Travel] that Dahong sent to Seo-jun, but a revised version of the script that Seo-jun picked up like a hamster collecting sunflower seeds on the Han River.
There were not only lines for the main character but also lines for other characters who appeared with him in the script.
Some children came prepared for supporting roles and some prepared for both main and supporting roles.
They all focused on the script they had.
They muttered their lines out loud.
The waiting room was filled with heavy tension.
The child actor who came hoping for an extra role rolled his eyes and swallowed his saliva before sitting down and taking out the script.
He felt relieved in the tense atmosphere. Seo-jun opened the script he had prepared.
He had practiced in the practice room, but he recalled his acting in his head once more.
“Eek!”
A strange sound was heard.
Seo-jun and the children looked toward the door.
It was Kim Han-seok who made the sound when he saw Seo-jun in a black hat as he entered the waiting room.
He seemed to have gotten used to his ability.
Their eyes met and Seo-jun smiled softly. Kim Han-seok, who was sticking out his lips, felt the children’s eyes and apologized.
“I’m sorry.”
The atmosphere calmed down and Kim Han-seok quickly sat next to Seo-jun.
“Hyung, are you auditioning at this time too?”
“Yeah. You too?”
“Yes. I was surprised. I thought you would audition separately, so I didn’t expect you to be here.”
Kim Han-seok looked around cautiously to see if anyone recognized Seo-jun.
Fortunately, it seemed that no one noticed.
The atmosphere became a little chaotic as children from the same academy or school came into the waiting room as the audition time approached.
“There’s no one else from our school at this time.”
“That’s right.”
Seo-jun nodded at Kim Han-seok’s words.
He had heard that many people applied, but they seemed to be crowded at other times.
Kim Han-seok sighed in relief.
It would have been a nightmare if it was an audition full of students from Mirinae High School.
‘It must have been fierce there.’
He was glad that he auditioned today. Kim Han-seok’s eyes caught Seo-jun looking at his script.
Seo-jun turned his head at the pouring gaze.
Kim Han-seok looked at Seo-jun with a subtle expression.
Seo-jun raised his hand and slapped both cheeks.
“Did I get something on my face? Why are you staring at me?”
“I don’t know whether to be happy that the other seniors are crowded at a different time or to be sad that I have to compete with you at the same time.”
At Kim Han-seok’s words, Seo-jun smiled faintly.
“Hello, Da Ho hyung.”
Seo-jun greeted him with a bright smile as he got into the car. Ahn Da Ho, who was sitting in the driver’s seat, also smiled and welcomed Seo-jun.
