SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS

Chapter 926 - 926: The Pill, the Mace, and the Silence Between

Sea Ancestral Temple…

The alchemy chamber within Kent chamber was built at the sea’s edge—half submerged, half above water. The sound of crashing waves echoed through the coral-pillared walls, a natural rhythm that guided the breath of any cultivator working inside.

Kent sat shirtless, legs crossed, inside a massive ancient cauldron circle. Flickering sea flames danced beneath the bronze cauldron he’d personally stabilized with a ten-fold defensive formation, rune chains glowing faintly in the air.

Ingredients hovered midair—floating pearls, bitter gourd vine essence, phoenix coral powder, and a single drop of Sea Serpent marrow suspended in golden liquid.

This was no ordinary concoction.

This was the Yinl-Core Harmony Pill, a rare remedy used to restructure damaged Yin energy veins of female cultivators, especially those who had been tampered with by forbidden rituals. Sana’s condition, though self-inflicted in pursuit of power, was critical—and this pill, while potent, demanded absolute focus and precise timing.

Kent sat with a serious face and with a wave of his hand, the ingredients were dancing inside the cauldron. And his spiritual consciousness was completely immersed.

“Three seconds to rupture the coral bloom… then stabilize with frost crystal essence…”

The cauldron shrieked—alive with pressure. The spirit of the materials roared like beasts, unwilling to merge.

Kent’s brows furrowed, sweat dripping down his neck.

A sudden backlash of energy erupted. The golden liquid inside the cauldron surged violently.

“Obey,” Kent growled, pressing his hand onto the cauldron.

Lightning burst from his palm, etching divine runes over the metal as he forced the rebellious energy to submit. His own Storm God’s Tyrant Physique shimmered beneath his skin as the final phase began.

Within moments, the air in the room thickened like a brewing storm.

BOOM!

A bright light erupted from the cauldron, illuminating the chamber in radiant hues of gold and indigo.

When the light dimmed, 33 glowing pills floated above the cauldron. Oval, smooth, pulsing gently like a living heart. Around it spun a faint shadow of a lotus, indicating the pill had achieved half-spiritual awareness.

Kent let out a long breath and collapsed backward onto the stone mat, chest heaving. His face was drenched in sweat, his hair clinging to his temples, but a smile—proud and exhausted—tugged at his lips.

The pill was perfect.

Just then, the chamber door creaked open.

Footsteps—graceful and silent—entered.

He didn’t need to look.

“Neela…” he whispered with a smile.

She walked toward him in silence. Dressed in a sea-blue robe that shimmered faintly like still water under moonlight, Princess Neela was beautiful and calm. But her expression lacked warmth—she was neither angry nor affectionate. She looked… composed.

She stood beside him and gently pressed a soft silk cloth to his forehead, wiping the sweat from his brows without a word.

Kent tilted his head toward her, smiling slightly.

“Are you worried?”

She didn’t reply.

He reached for her hand with the kind of familiarity lovers share, but she pulled away gently, avoiding his gaze. Then she stood and walked to a nearby jade table. From within a spatial pouch at her side, she drew out several things:

7 golden talismans etched in flowing-serpent script. 3 Tantric chakra-wheels, glowing softly with forbidden Buddhist inscriptions. 2 small orbs made of soul-amber, pulsing with protective spirit.

And finally… a mighty war mace.

It was taller than her waist, the handle thick and engraved with Naga clan dragon-scale patterns. At the end of the staff was a massive, cylindrical metal orb, black as midnight, with a small chain hook coiled around its neck. It radiated an aura of absolute weight and force—clearly a peak Grand Master weapon.

She placed everything gently on the mat near him.

Then, finally, she spoke.

“These are all the treasures I could retrieve without raising suspicion,” she said quietly. “Three of them can save you from death. One of them… might delay it.”

Kent sat up slowly, watching her in silence.

“The mace…?” he asked, gesturing at the enormous weapon.

Neela looked at it and nodded.

“It belonged to my uncle. He once cracked open a sea dragon’s skull with it. The weapon spirit left long ago… but its might hasn’t.”

Kent looked deeply at her. “You didn’t have to… I thought you were still angry.”

Neela’s expression flickered slightly. She turned away.

“I am angry,” she said sharply. “But not because you have 15 women. I’m angry because… I cared more than I should’ve.”

Kent lowered his gaze.

She continued, her voice tightening.

“You have fifteen women… you don’t deny it. You carry their weight. Their hopes. Their desires. I didn’t think you were that kind of man when I let you hold me…”

Kent opened his mouth, but she raised a hand.

“Don’t explain. I’m not leaving because of that. I’m just… reminding myself of what I am. A princess of the Naga clan. Not someone to be pitied or played with.”

A beat of silence passed between them.

The only sound was the gentle bubbling of the alchemical residue inside the cauldron.

Then Kent said softly, “I never meant to hurt you.”

Neela didn’t turn around.

“I know. That’s why I still brought you these.”

She pointed at the items.

“When you enter the Sea Beast Lair, don’t try to be a hero. Use these. Survive. Because if you die there, I won’t forgive you… and I won’t cry either.”

Kent smiled, despite the ache in his heart.

“Then I’ll survive. I hope you change your mind before I come back.”

Neela turned her head slightly, then looked away quickly.

“Idiot.” She bit her lower lip in frustration and walked towards the door.

Kent’s voice stopped her.

“Neela… Thank you. For everything.”

She didn’t reply.

She opened the door and stepped out, but just before it closed behind her, Kent saw her raise a hand and press it against the wooden panel—almost like she wanted to come back.

But the moment passed.

The door shut.

Kent looked at the treasures laid before him and sighed.

He turned toward the glowing pills and picked them up gently, placing them into a jade box.

“One life saved… one more step toward forging my path again.”

He glanced at the massive war mace and smiled.

“You and I are going to dance soon.”

Outside, the waves crashed harder.

The storm in Kent’s path had not calmed.

But now… he had a weapon in hand, a promise in heart, and a legacy to fulfill.
