Four hours later, Thirteen, Tristan, Douglas, and Hans sat in a conference room with the other leaders of the different Jinn Factions.
The Jinns had completely changed their attitude, at least no longer looked down on the teenage boy who had given them a slap on the face.
His show of strength even made some of them more eager to ally with him so they could deal with the Azothralls.
Of course, some of the leaders didn’t take his show of strength as lightly as the others, even thinking of making things hard for him in this upcoming conference.
“We gathered here today to discuss a temporary alliance with the Wanderers,” said Prince Valen, the spokesperson of the Jinns. “Before we start, I would like to ask if there is anyone who opposes this proposal?”
There were twenty-nine leaders of the Jinns present at the conference.
There used to be more, but the Azothralls had wiped out their factions, which had prompted the Jinns to take them as a serious threat.
Some of the Jinns raised their hands in response, exactly as Prince Valen had anticipated.
But then, one hand rose that he had not accounted for.
It wasn’t just the prince who was surprised.
The corners of Tristan’s and Douglas’ lips also twitched as they looked at the teenage boy in disbelief. Hans, on the other hand, smiled faintly. Though he also didn’t see it coming, he knew his young master was planning something.
Princess Aracelle, Prince Zorren, and Prince Xylen were also surprised as they had not even imagined this response from Zion. The three even wondered if Zion was just trying to annoy the leaders of the Jinns who didn’t want to form an alliance with the Wanderers.
“Zion Leventis, did you raise your hand because you don’t want to have a temporary alliance with us?’ Prince Valen asked, genuinely curious why their guest had a sudden change of heart.
“I’m not going to lie to you, Prince Valen,” Thirteen replied. “Before we went to meet with everyone here, we already made some plans just in case this alliance doesn’t push through.
“Unlike the Jinns, we Wanderers can just leave the Cygni Continent anytime we want. Wouldn’t it be a great idea if we let the Jinns and the Azothralls fight each other, while we eat popcorn at the side?
“We won’t lose any manpower, and we can just focus on eliminating the survivors. I think this is the best course of action that we can take, isn’t that right, Sir Tristan?”
“You’re right, Zion.” Tristan decided to go with the flow because he trusted Zion completely. “That’s actually a great plan. Isn’t that right, Douglas?”
“… Great.” Douglas had to use all of his willpower to stop the smile on his face from breaking as he agreed to Tristan.
“Wait!” Prince Zepharion shouted. “Aren’t you worried the Azothralls will evolve and become Archons?”
“Nope,” Thirteen answered. “Not worried at all. Do you remember how I almost wiped out all of you with my trump card earlier? We can just do the same to the Azothralls after they wiped out the Jinns from this continent.”
“I think that’s not a very appropriate thing to do,” commented Prince Morrim of the Grunari Kingdom. “Since we have decided to form an alliance, we should push through with it.”
“Um?” Thirteen blinked. “Weren’t you one of those who raised their hands earlier to oppose the temporary alliance?”
“I-I just raised my hand because I was just doing a light stretch,” Prince Morrim stuttered. “It’s not like I was opposed to having a temporary alliance with you, you know?”
“Hahaha! That’s right. I was just teasing you earlier.”
“I felt an itch earlier, so I raised my hand to scratch my back. Who are the fools who didn’t want this alliance to push through? Come out, so I can smack you!”
“I saw my subordinate waving at me from far away, so I decided to wave back at him.”
One by one, the Jinns who had raised their hands to oppose the alliance made some dumb excuses that made Thirteen laugh internally.
‘It seems that they are more afraid of the Azothralls than us,’ Thirteen thought. ‘Well, they have a very good reason to fear them.’
Thirteen understood that not all the Jinns agreed to the idea of allying with the Wanderers, as the other party inwardly believed that they were very weak.
The fact that they were able to take over their city fortresses during the first day of the war was proof that the Wanderers didn’t have the strength to push them back.
If not for the fact that the Azothralls had made their appearance, they wouldn’t even bother talking with the humans, whom they didn’t think of as a threat to their conquest of the continent.
But after seeing Zion’s show of force, they had no choice but to reevaluate the humans of Pangea.
“Zion, I think we should all work together for the time being,” Prince Valen said after the surroundings had calmed down a bit.
“Should we really work together?” Thirteen asked back. “Like I said earlier. We can just leave the continent and watch as you guys fight against the Azothralls. What benefits can we get by helping you guys get rid of them?”
All the Jinns were very tempted to spit on the annoying teenage boy. They had already taken a step back to form an alliance, but he wanted to ask for benefits?
This made them feel as if they were the ones at a disadvantage when, in fact, they should have had the upper hand in this negotiation.
“You should be careful about what you say, Zion,” Prince Morrim said. “Do not forget that you are in our territory. Do you not wish to leave this place alive?”
“Hmm?” Thirteen tilted his head before raising his finger to point at the ceiling. “Did the shock earlier make you forget that I could have killed all of you here if I wanted to? Please, don’t get the wrong idea, Prince Morrim.
“It is not I who has to worry if I can leave this place alive. It is you guys who should be worried instead.”
The teenage boy’s reminder made the Grunari Prince stop talking, unable to refute Zion’s words.
“I’m sure you can’t use such a weapon multiple times,” General Varrak of the Skavari replied. “If you can use it repeatedly, you could have wiped us all when we arrived in your world.”
Thirteen nodded, and even clapped his hands, affirming the general’s theory.
“You’re right, General Varrak.” Thirteen smiled. “At most, I can only use that attack two more times. Once those two uses are gone, I will have to wait for a month before I can use it again.
“Frankly, I plan to use that weapon against the Azothralls, but I don’t mind using it against you guys. After all, I just need to wait for three months, and I can use it again three more times. Very convenient, right?”
Everyone in the room quieted down, including Tristan and Douglas, who only learned that Zion had this kind of trump card now.
Both of them knew more than the Jinns, and from what they could gather from the scene they saw earlier, this meant only one thing.
Zion Leventis had created some kind of satellite weapon that was currently in space.
The two of them were shocked to their very core since they had no clue that the Leventis Family had such a weapon.
‘I’m so glad that I didn’t make him my enemy,’ Douglas thought.
‘I’m so glad that Shana chose him as her fiance,’ Tristan mused.
‘As expected of the Young Master.’ Hans smiled. ‘He really has many aces up his sleeve.’
Thirteen had no idea what his comrades were thinking, but seeing that everyone’s attention was on him, he decided to stand up from his seat and lightly brush his shoulder.
“So, are we done here?” Thirteen asked. “Well, then, congratulations! You guys are now the temporary owners of the Cygni Continent. I promise to enjoy life while watching you guys fight against the Azothralls. Try not to die, okay?”
Knowing that they would lose an important ally in the fight against the Azothralls, the leaders of the different factions stood up one by one and tried to dissuade Zion’s decision.
Some of them even offered gifts, bribes, and other things that would make the young man return to the negotiating table.
Prince Xylen couldn’t help but give his friend a thumbs-up in his heart.
Not only did Zion make everyone change their minds, but they were even giving him gifts to ensure that he would agree to a temporary alliance.
“Sister, if you value your life, pick another Wanderer as your toy,” Princess Laventia whispered to her sister, Princess Xynalia. “He’s too much for you to handle.”
“I admit I underestimated him earlier,” Princess Xynalia replied. “But did you forget? We are succubi. There is no man we can’t win over.”
“Sister, don’t do it,” Princess Laventia said in a serious tone. “Zion is no ordinary man.”
Princess Xynalia giggled and decided to ignore her sister’s pleas. She had the power to charm those who were weaker than her.
And based on Zion’s aura, she was certain that he was weaker than her.
‘Sister, why are you so stubborn?!’ Princess Laventia was starting to feel anxious. ‘I better follow her and make sure that she doesn’t antagonize Zion.’
Among her sisters, she was very close to Princess Xynalia, so she didn’t want her to be tortured by Zion.
However, she also knew that her sister was stubborn since the latter had gotten everything she wanted in life.
There was a famous saying—there was a first time for everything, but Princess Laventia didn’t want to reach the point of no return.
Also, she wasn’t a fool.
She could see as clearly as day that Princess Aracelle had feelings for Zion.
While she was curious about how and when all of this happened, she didn’t dare to associate herself with the teenage boy, who was clearly a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
