The dragon's harem

Chapter 1341 - 1341: Murder Over The World

Eris closed her eyes and focused on her divine magic. If she couldn’t do anything about her link with Amaterasu, what about the divine portfolio nestled deep within her soul?

What about Murder? What is it really, and how could she control it? To understand that, she must define Murder first and then single out its true essence.

Murder is the unlawful, premeditated killing of one human being by another. Achieving the premeditated should be easy, unlike the unlawful one. Eris kills a lot, but usually, laws have nothing to do with what she did.

But that’s the point. It’s unlawful, not unjust or unfair. Meaning that no matter how vile or good Eris’s enemy is, as long as she can find a law that says they shouldn’t be killed, she could technically murder them and get power.

There are two more meanings that Eris can use to understand how Murder works. The first is that Murder could be used as a word to describe being very angry with something or someone, even punishing them severely.

Like her saying that Tina would murder her if she forgot to feed Serin.

Murder could also refer to an experience being very difficult or unpleased, sometimes even torturous.

This means that Murder would help her kill, torture, and bring suffering to those who face her. But that also makes it a power that is strangely difficult to handle.

It is literally pushing Eris toward becoming a murderous maniac, and that isn’t the only problem. Her vampirism works so well with Murder to the point that she can feel her fangs itching for blood. Her vampire innate sanguine hunger only grew stronger. Just as a human would get hungry when roasting meat, Eris’s vampiric hunger would only grow when she kills people.

Amaterasu’s divine magic is actively burning her vampiric blood to weaken her vampire side. Amaterasu’s superior authority is also used to force Eris’s Murder portfolio to submit and remain under control.

Eris can’t keep this up. Even if her draconic blood gives her superior resilience, this war inside her body would soon drive her mad.

Eris had to choose between them. Either become a part of Amaterasu’s divine portfolio and retain her good-natured self, or drown in Murder and turn into something just as vile as Katal was, if not even worse.

The vampire paladin looked at Eris for a few seconds, worried since her lady hadn’t spoken a single word for almost half an hour. She just sat there, oozing with divine magic and bloodlust.

“Oh, hehehehe!” A giggle boomed from the shadows, and the vampire paladin unsheathed her sword. Right there, she could see her, a tiny, deformed, ugly, fiendish imp glaring at them.

“Little, soft vampire! Shiny, sexy, pale lady with red lips…” Pin giggled as she approached the vampire paladin, “If you don’t want to become more beautiful, painted red with blood and viscera, then respectfully, fuck off.”

Pin approached, and the vampire paladin felt the fine hair on her back stand. Her eyes opened wide, and her throat dried. Looking at Eris’s still body, she felt horribly in danger.

Without wasting a second, she dived into blood and returned to Arad, hoping Eris wouldn’t be able to catch her.

Pin glanced at Eris with a sad face. “What a waste. She could’ve been a masterpiece while crying.” She approached Eris and sat beside her. I guess. All you have is Little Pin here. I know, I know, I’m ugly, small, and don’t have enough blood, but if you want to kill me, at least I will come back again.”

Eris smiled, “Pin, you better hide as well. Only Arad can keep me in check, so you’d better be careful around me.”

Right now, Eris was trying to suppress Murder on her own without the need for Amaterasu’s power. That was quite dangerous since if she failed for a second, she’d go into a murderous rampage.

Pin started biting her nails, gazing with crazed eyes. “Should Pin perhaps call Lord Arad?” She burst into a giggle. “Don’t worry, My Lady, My Queen, and Goddess, Pin is too ugly to seduce lord Arad. You’ll have all for yourself to slowly cut and butcher him apart.”

Eris sighed, “My problem isn’t that Amaterasu is keeping Murder in check. My problem is that I can’t keep it in check on my own. Having Arad help won’t solve my problem. It’ll make it worse. I must control Murder on my own.”

Pin sighed with a sad face. “Fine, Pin understands. Pin always understands. If you need someone to vent your frustration, please call me. Pin is always ready, ever and forever.”

Pin then disappeared into a splash of blood, leaving Eris alone in the dark cave.

Eris could feel it across the whole world- the sparks of Murder blooming beneath the veil of night, across the burning wastelands where corpses rot beneath the burning sun, and inside the fortified castles where the nobles hid away to protect themselves.

A perverted madman stabbing women in the back alleys of a city, mercilessly cutting them to pieces.

A gentle-looking soldier backstabbing his noble lord in the back.

A kid praying to the shadows, seeking the blood of his adoptive parents.

A murder of crows flying across the deserted wastelands, seeking the corpses rotting away of caravans butchered by bandits.

A paladin of Murder ripping his way through armies of invading demons, elated to kill and be killed.

Murder didn’t care which blood was getting spilled, as long as it was blood. Eris felt all of them, hundreds and thousands of murders, small and big, across the whole world, all resonating within her soul, tickling her divine portfolio.

Eris lifted her hand and her fingers danced in the air, sending sparks of divine magic across the whole world.

The woman in the back alleys was slowly dying, her chest ripped open by a sharp knife. But a cold whisper licked her ears, sending a shiver down her body. She was dying, but that murderous man must die, he must be murdered as well.

With her body empowered by a dark will beyond her understanding, her cold hands moved up, grabbed the man by the neck and her nails dug into his flesh with an unhuman, deathly grip.

The man panicked and started stabbing her again and again, but each hit made her feel even better and stronger. All she cared about was ripping his throat out, and she did just that. The woman died from her wounds, and the murderous man drowned in his own blood, dying shortly after and flies swarmed at them both.

The soldier stabbed his noble lord in the back, but his comrade immediately retaliated and kicked the soldier to the ground, they kicked him to the death, slowly breaking each bone in his body as the noble lord lay on the ground, flies swarming his dead body.

An assassin emerged from the shadows, standing silently behind the kid. He was going to take upon the contract, he’ll kill the kid’s adoptive parents, but for a price, a grave price.

Eris watched as the assassin grabbed the kid by the hair and dragged him away. That kid one day will become a powerful assassin if he survives the harsh and deadly trials of the deadly clan.

It didn’t take the assassin ten minutes to track the kid’s adoptive parents, and he had them tied down for their kid to kill later on.

The murder of crows flying over the desert landed to feast on the corpses, cawing at the sun with rage as it hid behind the mountains.

Eris gasped, her eyes jolting open as she sucked in a deep breath. “Damn it.”
