“Is that so? I also think the same.” Nangong Shoujian said cheerfully, pretending not to notice that Cao Xuesheng was speaking sarcastically, and nodded happily.
Cao Xuesheng looked at the Ask Sword Platform and said, “Let’s see how many people without vision will go to challenge him now.”
“You should say, how many of the remaining swordsmen can make him feel the pressure,” Nangong Shoujian laughed.
At the same time, many swordsmen present were all looking at Jian Angxing on the Ask Sword Platform, with quite a few showing eager intentions.
Compared to Cao Xuesheng’s sharpness and the stunning move of Nangong Shoujian, Jian Angxing hadn’t presented anything impressive to the crowd.
After all, Jian Angxing hadn’t displayed his abilities in front of everyone before, and the earlier act with Nangong Shoujian was somewhat unimpressive.
Thus, many swordsmen present didn’t know the extent of Jian Angxing’s power, but since he was wearing the Holy Beast Mask of the Sky Swallowing Palace, his sword Tao skills were certainly not weak.
Someone went up to challenge Jian Angxing, and as expected, Jian Angxing won, defeating the person very easily.
However, the people who subsequently came to challenge seemed to have figured out Jian Angxing’s moves, causing his sword moves to hardly be effective, easily being resolved by the opponents.
This situation puzzled Jian Angxing and confused others in the Sky Swallowing Palace.
“How did these people suddenly become so powerful? How did they effectively discern Jian Angxing’s moves?” Dugu Nian frowned slightly.
Fang Lin observed for a while, thinking something seemed off. Jian Angxing hadn’t significantly displayed his skills, so it was unlikely the swordsmen challenging him could clearly grasp his sword moves.
Yet now, each of Jian Angxing’s opponents seemed to understand him well, making each encounter challenging and requiring considerable effort to win.
Within the three sects, the scholars wore proud expressions, especially the senior members, who were secretly sneering in their hearts.
It was they who told these swordsmen from the Nine Countries how to break the Heaven Earth Sword moves, putting Jian Angxing in a particularly passive situation against them.
Indeed, as they expected, Jian Angxing, although defeating several challengers, did so with difficulty, while truly skilled swordsmen had yet to make a move.
“After the Talent Sword Head List ended, it seems those from the scholarly sect visited many sword Tao sects in the Nine Countries frequently, probably revealing Jian Angxing’s sword move patterns to them,” said Silver Fox.
With this statement, those from the Sky Swallowing Palace felt it made sense. It seemed likely to be the case, as otherwise, it couldn’t be explained how these swordsmen knew the Heaven Earth Sword move patterns of the scholarly sect?
If it wasn’t revealed by the scholarly sect themselves, then who else could it be?
“Even if they revealed it, so what? Do they think they can defeat Jian Angxing with such petty tactics? How underestimating!” Dugu Nian said disdainfully.
Fang Lin nodded; he had seen Jian Angxing make a move and knew the depth of his sword Tao cultivation. Even if opponents knew his move patterns, defeating Jian Angxing was far from realistic.
In Fang Lin’s view, apart from the Pavilion Master of the Sealing Sword Pavilion and possibly some experts within, across the Nine Countries Seven Seas, no one could match Jian Angxing’s sword Tao accomplishments, and even Nangong Shoujian admitted he was inferior to him.
Though Heaven Earth Sword was where Jian Angxing learned, his sword Tao achievements were closely related to the Heaven Earth Sword lineage, it’s not that Jian Angxing was limited by it; he had long already taken his own step out, removing the restrictions of Heaven Earth Sword’s moves and techniques.
Indeed, even though those swordsmen knew the Heaven Earth Sword patterns, they didn’t understand Jian Angxing’s true power. Each swordsman who went up to challenge him was defeated and came down.
Over eighty swordsmen, after several hosts, now remaining were only a bit over twenty.
Among them were more than ten swordsmen from the Nine Countries and a small number from the three sects, but none could deny the strength of Jian Angxing.
If these twenty-plus individuals were all defeated by Jian Angxing, he would be at the top of the Sword Head List for this evaluation, with others ranked according to their shown ability.
Moreover, even if Jian Angxing was defeated, he would still surely secure a position on the Sword Head List, potentially within the top five ranks.
And both Nangong Shoujian and Cao Xuesheng were highly likely to be among the top ten of the Sword Head List.
At this moment, no one noticed that an invisible array was enveloping everyone, whether from the Nine Countries or the Seven Seas, none sensed the subtle changes occurring all around.
The invisible grand array enveloped all directions, covering nearly the entire outer mountainous area of the Vast Mountains, its setup extremely secretive and ingenious, avoiding all eyes.
Dugu Nian had been focusing on the battles on the Ask Sword Platform but now lifted her head with a somewhat puzzled expression.
Fang Lin similarly sensed something, looked up, and frowned.
“What’s wrong?” Silver Fox, Juechen, and others, seeing their unusual expressions, couldn’t help but ask.
Dugu Nian and Fang Lin exchanged glances; one had Immortal cultivation and the other Great Longevity, yet Fang Lin’s strength was comparable to Immortal experts, making his perception far stronger than a typical person of Great Longevity, not lesser than Dugu Nian.
“Something’s amiss, it feels like something is isolating this heaven and earth,” Dugu Nian transmitted the message to the group.
Fang Lin nodded, evidently agreeing with Dugu Nian’s feeling.
Silver Fox, upon hearing this, brightened her eyes with brilliant silver light, gazed at the sky, then withdrew her gaze.
“It’s an array,” Silver Fox said with a somewhat grave tone, her ancient bloodline being a peculiar Demon Beast providing remarkable vision superior even to a martial artist’s Heavenly Eye.
With these eyes, Silver Fox saw the massive array undetected by others.
Realizing it’s an array, they all felt a sinking feeling.
Silver Fox continued, “The array is tremendous, probably encompassing everyone in this place under it, but I can’t discern its purpose, nor its strength.”
Fang Lin sneered, “Releasing an array silently, is the Sealing Sword Pavilion intending to catch everyone here in one go?”
“Should we strike first?” Zhong Wuwei asked.
Fang Lin shook his head, “Now it’s not a matter of striking first; the opponent has already secretly raised the array. We are all now their pawns held by the Sealing Sword Pavilion.”
