Ch.30 Obvious Trap (3)
Lin Yueqi did not appear sad or even overly emotional when she said those words. Instead, she had a teasing look in her eyes, and she was also very calm. With her abilities as an actor, it was entirely possible for her to put on the angry crying act to make things more believable to others.
But she did no such thing. She just calmly expressed her contempt for Qin Xue.
And it was also this kind of blatant disdain that made people on the sidelines suspicious of Qin Xue. They began to wonder, did Qin Xue really do all that to Lin Yueqi?
The comment section was silent all of a sudden. Everyone seemed to be considering that possibility.
One of Lin Yueqi’s fans was the first to break the silence. “My heart goes out to my goddess! Has she finally snapped? I knew you were set up by Qin Xue! The entertainment circle is a mess! So what if a woman like Qin Xue is pretty? She’s evil and rotten to the bones!”
Immediately after that, Qin Xue’s fans began to pack on the heat.
“Come on, can’t you be a little smarter with your clean-up tactics, Lin Yueqi? So is this how you’re going to climb back up after you lost your team?’
“Yeah, and you’re trying to boast about your child’s education? What happened to that when your baby was getting abused? You’re the vilest mother. Disgusting, you stink!”
“Hurry up and kick Lin Yueqi out the next episode! I don’t want to see her anymore!”
Everyone was posting the “poop” reaction on the comments.
The two teams began going up the mountain on each of their sides.
There were 26 levels in total with a myriad of questions to beat. The crew originally expected to go through the 26 levels in a span of 3 days, but if the stars don’t’ do well, they might have to drag it on for two more days. In order to avoid any incidents, there were crew members stationed on the mountain.
After they went up the hill, the director wiped his sweat and said to his assistant, “Kick that lunatic Lin Yueqi straight out in the next episode.”
Meekly, the assistant director said to him, “But the viewers in the broadcast shot straight up to ten million when Lin Yueqi insulted Qin Xue! She’s ruining her own image, but our traffic is going up.”
The director fell silent and began to stare at the monitor.
At the first level, two staff members stood on each side of the hill, looking over a chalkboard.
The language question above wrote:
A, Out of the dotted words below, the groups with the correct readings are ()
…
Lin Yueqi both looked at the question at the same time, and after sweeping a glance at the options, Wen Zhe grabbed the chalk and said, “Easy. It’s A.”
On the other side, the group of six unanimously agreed that they should choose A and handed the chalk to Qin Xue.
Tang Weiwei said, “What kind of simple-minded question is this? Definitely A.”
Qin Xue took the chalk and wrote down A on the chalkboard. She arched her eyebrows and smiled. “Simple indeed. Practically a bonus question.”
However, as soon as she wrote down option A, they received a warning beep, notifying them that they answered incorrectly. Since this was a multiple-choice language question, they did not have any more chances to retry and could only be stuck there for 15 minutes. After that time passed, they can try again.
On Lin Yueqi’s side, Wen Zhe’s hand that was about to write the option A on the chalkboard was given a slap on the back of his hand.
He retracted his hand and looked confused. Pitifully, he looked at Lin Yueqi. “??”
Lin Yueqi picked up the chalk and wrote down option D before explaining to him, “My god, did your math teacher teach you during language class? You didn’t notice such an obvious trap? The right answer is D. The letter on the back of option A’s 颓圮(qi) is not read as qi, but pi in the third tone. God, I really doubt you actually studied!”
She grabbed the chalk and circled the word “圮” and tapped the chalk on the board. “Remember this word, it might come up again later. There might be a reason why this word appeared in the first stage.”
Wen Zhe pursed his mouth and was just about to refute, but he heard the “ding ding” sound coming from the speaker.
“Correct. Key granted. Please move forward.”
Qin Xue and the others must have finished long ago on such a simple question, right? She let Wen Zhe hold the pen on purpose just to waste time. She wanted to get the question wrong on purpose, but this question was simply too easy that she couldn’t bear to get it wrong. QAQ
