The Kidnapped Bride

Chapter 282 - You Are Mine!

Chapter 282 - You Are Mine!

His eyes were staring at her body as if he would eat her alive. He does possess the power and will to do so but knowing his temperament, she understands that he is too shocked to see her here.

Exactly how she felt after his unexpected presence at the company in which she was going to get a job!?

A hesitant look spread on her face when she clutched the file present in her hand. Her other hand's grip tightened around the string of her handbag.

Without shifting their focus even for a mere second she confidently answered back, "They are good! My husband hasn't filed here until now but he will. Otherwise, my children are doing good too."

The confident smile that lay on her face was enough to define that she is going through a wonderful phase in her life… but only to explain to others.

If only he could have the privilege to uncover the act of hers as well.

In return, Charles's eyebrows when he looked quite shocked as well. "So, you and your dear husband aren't with you right now? Why so?"

"He had work back in the country which needed to be winded up as well. We are planning to come in this new market for ourselves." Sierra answered this with a beautiful smile on her face but her eyes were telling another tale.

However, it was difficult to even catch the wind of the same since she had changed.

Neither did Charles find anything wrong with her face. What caught his eyes was how her fingers reached, in contrast with her body.

"Such love! Isn't that same husband of yours for whom you left me? tsk tsk, seems like he has not accompanied you to here." The last one almost made her breathing stop then her eyes widened.

This comment was already carrying hundreds of stories of their past, making her take a step back. The past was complicated, but it is tomorrow that they all think it to be.

Taking a deep breath, she brought a sweet smile to her lips. "That was years ago. Why should I think about it anymore? We should move on in our lives."

"Hmm. Correct." How disheartened he was evident on his lips. The frost layer that plastered on his face never faded. It kept on increasing without the clear drop in the turnaround.

But this wasn't new to her. At the end of the day, she understood this man too well, despite the odds and the long-distance which they faced, it never impacted her ability to actually let go of her habit to read his mood.

But soon, when the awkward silence was ready to cover, the lady appeared near her.

"Congratulations, Ms. Siera. Are selected. You can join us at the job from next week, in our finance department." As the news reached her, Sierra's lips curved upwards with a gentle smile spreading all over.

Holding her hands, her eyes turned into a? crystal moon when she replied with excitement, "Thank you so much! Thank you! Oh my god.. I can't even imagine this."

"No worries. Have a nice day." The lady said when Siera replied, "You too."

In the end, the lady left her alone when Sierra's eyes once again traveled towards Charles, to find him in the same position not even a single change with his expressions.

"Looks like you secured the job for yourself. You must be really good to be required here." Charles was still sarcastic but she didn't care.

At least he had seen her excited level already.

But she had her own theories to ask, "But what are you doing here? This isn't your firm. Or are you here to meet your clients?"

"My brother." Came from his side, making her shocked. Her eyes narrowed slightly when she realized something. "Your.. brother.. Javier?"

Receiving a nod, she found it to be ridiculed. What does this firm has t9 do with Javier!? What must he be doing before?

Noting her corned narrowed eyes and how she was waiting more into the deep, Charles coughed to have her attention.

"This company is headed by Javier Johnson, my brother. Seems like.. your luck is really associated with the Johnsons.."

His words were bringing her at a loss when words did relax the entire situation.

But there was no doubt to deny it as well.? Once again...she has landed in the trap named Johnsons..

The name from which she had wanted to stay away from the very start. Her entire aim was to never come in contact with them. Unfortunately, she has now entered into a? firm, named and under another Johnson.

Charles noted her expression when he asked, "Shocked?"

"A lot," Sierra spoke bluntly, but then realized what she had just blurted out. Did she just give him a hint to say she was interested in keeping a gap between the Johnsons and herself?

"Your reach lacked somehow." Did it? Sierra totally agreed on this but she had no other way.

At last, without turning around, he took a step back without shifting his focus from her, "Will see you soon."

'But I wish to never see you again..' she said in her mind but on the surface, she gave him a faint smile yet the shock never left her.

He turned around to walk towards the exit, did when she sighed in relief but that wasn't the end.

Instead of going out all himself, Charles turned around as if he remembered something with what came in her view was his wicked smile, enough to make her realize that it wasn't an easy one either.

Her heart skipped a beat at his devilish gaze upon her when he opened his mouth.

"Remember my last words before you left… I will have you, whether you are married or not. Because my possessions and people.. are supposed to be mine."

Sierra didn't say even a single word but her eyes narrowed. Her body turned rigid, "This isn't past Charles.."

"I told you to not come back. But since you are… remember my words, Mrs. Sierra Shen Fedra."
