Xi Weizhi nodded, “As long as you don’t like it, I won’t do it.”

His tone remained icy, yet his expression carried an inexplicable innocence and meekness, making him seem strangely pure and gentle.

As he gazed at the young woman peacefully asleep before him, Xi Weizhi reached out, intending to wake her up. But in the end, his hands paused mid-air. Instead, he gently draped a thin blanket over her.

The blazing sun shone brightly, drawing him in with its warmth. Yet, at times, even the slightest touch felt like it would burn him.

The door creaked open. Zhang Yi’s head appeared, peeking in cautiously. “Xi Yue, are you feeling better now?”
