“Nari, are you trying to kill me?” Klaus shouted, now hovering in the air after narrowly escaping that sudden attack. It wouldn’t have killed him, but it would have hurt like hell.

The arrow arrived unexpectedly.

Glaring at him from the ground was a strikingly beautiful redhead holding a majestic bow. She looked at Klaus with fiery eyes.

Behind her back was a diagram similar to Klaus’s lightning source diagram. It had seven pseudo-phoenix wings embedded in it, and from the look of things, they were connected to her bow and body.

It also looked foreign. Klaus could tell it wasn’t someone he could underestimate since its energy was similar to his lightning source diagram.

This means it is a divine item.

“Shut up and suffer,” Nari said, shooting another arrow at him.

The arrow closed in fast, and when it was a meter from him, it broke into ten arrows, forcing Klaus to use his vanishing steps to evade and move away, distancing himself from her.

“This bitch wants to hurt me,” he muttered, watching as Nari took to the air and began chasing him.

“You overgrown peacock, what do you think you’re doing?” Klaus asked, running away from her.

He didn’t rush back to the academy, only to be bossed around by the peacock who knew how to torture her opponents with her flame.

“You promised you would come out within three months tops, but it’s already been over six months. Do you think I’d be happy to see you?” Nari fired another arrow at him, forcing Klaus to take a nosedive to evade.

“So you’re trying to hurt me because I didn’t come out like I promised? Are you being serious right now?” Klaus said, unable to believe what he was hearing.

“Don’t make promises you can’t keep,” Nari fired another arrow.

“Lady, don’t think I won’t attack you too. I was held up inside the dungeon, and that’s why I didn’t come out sooner,” Klaus said, evading another attack.

“I don’t care. Your explanations mean nothing to me, so stop running and take your punishment like a man,” Nari smirked and shot another arrow.

“You’re a terrible roommate, Nari. I was expecting you to welcome me with open arms and french kisses, yet look at what you’re doing. Is this your style of a welcome-home party?” Klaus asked, evading yet another attack.

This time, he stopped and glared at the Fire Queen, who was looking at him with a wicked smile.

“If you don’t stop, I will take drastic action,” Klaus warned.

Obviously, he wasn’t about to take her offer and let her hurt him. Her flames burned more painfully than most, so even a small burn could cause serious pain.

“Better take your punishment first,” Nari said, pulling on the bowstring.

But instead of moving, Klaus smirked and rubbed his arm. Suddenly, the temperature rose, and the surroundings turned scorching hot.

Then, up in the air, a 300-meter-long dragon-looking majestic figure appeared and let out a loud roar. It glared at Nari, whose eyes suddenly sparkled when she saw the dragon.

The bow vanished, and her admiration for the dragon took over. She moved, and in an instant, she was in front of the dragon.

Just like that, the tense atmosphere was subdued by the dragon, which even seemed shocked when it saw the Pseudo-Phoenix drop her weapons and choose to admire it instead.

Klaus shook his head, watching as the overlord’s eyes sparkled with admiration for the fire dragon.

“Klaus, you promised to help me create a dragon. When are we doing it?” she asked, glaring at him.

“Oh, Nari, how are you? I hope you’re doing well because I’m also well,” Klaus joked. “You do know that nearly trying to kill me isn’t exactly ideal for someone who wants something from me.”

“Oh, don’t be a crybaby. You’re stronger than that. At worst, those arrows would have only left a burn on you,” Nari said, smiling at him.

“You’re beyond saving at this point,” Klaus replied. He flew back down, and after landing, he dismissed the dragon, forcing Nari to return to the ground.

“So, how was your mission?” Nari asked, acting as though she hadn’t just tried to explode an arrow in his face. Klaus simply smirked and brushed it off.

“It was fun,” he said, making Nari nod.

“Were you able to clear the 31st floor?” she asked.

The mission had been for Klaus to clear the 31st floor of the dungeon, and if there were subsequent levels, he was tasked with clearing all of them.

The overlords couldn’t do it simply because only those below the Saint stage were allowed inside the 31st floor.

So now that he was out, everyone who knew of the existence of this dungeon wanted to know if he had succeeded. They all believed the dungeon was a gateway to an ancient ruin.

Obviously, they were right. The dungeon is indeed a gateway to something he had prepared many years ago. Now, he had opened it, but it would take some time before they could enter.

“Yes, I have cleared the 31st floor and the others after that. Now, the dungeon has been cleared, and in six months, we will enter the ancient ruins and begin exploring them.”

“That is awesome. At least we will finally learn something new about this world,” Nari said, making Klaus wonder just what they knew about Earth and what they were hoping to discover.

“I guess we will,” Klaus replied.

‘I guess I should pay Queenie a visit and learn more about Earth. There seems to be something they’ve discovered that I need to know.’

He wouldn’t walk in the dark anymore. There were things he must know, and one of them was the fact that he knew nothing about Earth. That had to be fixed.

“Come, I want to show you something,” Nari said, holding his hand and pulling him away.

The instructors who witnessed the short skirmish between Klaus and the Overlord were left standing as they watched the two leave.

They had nearly caused destruction to the academy, yet the next second, they became the best of friends. Even Old Lu and Queenie couldn’t believe their eyes.

The events that had just happened weren’t something they hadn’t seen coming.

They saw it from a mile away, but who knew all it took to defuse it was a mere fire dragon?
