The Martial Unity

The Emperor of Harmony understood that he needed to address the opposition from the Britannian Prime Minister if he wanted to get human civilization to willingly join his initiative rather than coercing them with incentives alone.

“Your critiques are valid,” Emperor Rael began. “However, they are based on insufficient information. For one. Your estimates on the timelines of the completion of the project are flawed. You aren’t taking into account variables that can work in our favor For example…”

The image of a tree appeared on the screen behind him.

Above it was a bold title.

The Britannian Prime Minister scoffed. “You think you can persuade an elder tree specimen that was once our enemy and is very good at hiding to help with the construction of the economic corridors you propose? That is naive.”

This was a sentiment that was shared by many leaders who looked unhappy at the plan of the Emperor of Harmony’s strange suggestion.

Even if the Beast Domain had ended, they could never bring themselves to trust an entity that had, until recently, threatened to destroy all of human civilization by making the Beast Incursion more strategically sophisticated and more coordinated.

“I was not referring to the elder tree species that we have faced in recent times,” the Emperor of Harmony continued with a serious tone. “But the original Elder Tree.”

His eyes sharpened.

“The one that helped the Kandrian Empire in its war against the East Panamic Treaty Alliance.”

A wave of shock washed over the leaders of human civilization as they gazed at the Emperor of Harmony with shock.

“What…?” the Britannian Prime Minister gazed at Emperor Rael with a stunned expression.

“This Elder Tree aided us with locating and finding powerful treasures across the Beast Domain with its great awareness across the Beast Domain,” the Emperor of Harmony informed them all of them, releasing what was otherwise confidential information. “It was thanks to these material treasures in part that we were able to push back against our enemies that sought to destroy us.”

Prime Minister Edward gritted his teeth. “You bastard…”

The Emperor of Harmony smiled wryly. “It had entered hibernation shortly after the Beast Incursion began due to being unable to sustain its great material input. However, since the Beast Incursion concluded, it woke up and has recently contacted the Kandrian Empire.”

A wave of murmurs washed over the audience as they reeled from the revelations that the Emperor of Harmony had dumped on them.

“The Elder Tree possesses the power to scour the entirety of the Beast Domain and even Panama Continent with its vast and expansive root connection,” the Emperor of Harmony continued. “With its power, it can allow us to sequester resources much faster than we otherwise would. With its aid, we can drastically accelerate the project of the construction of economic corridor to a much more reasonable timeframe of five years.”

The notion of using the help of a sentient monster tree in construction projects across the Panama Continent was unprecedented. It deviated far, far from anything that had ever been attempted.

And yet, if they were to take the shocking information that the Emperor of Harmony had provided them with at face value, then they could understand what the Emperor of Harmony was getting at.

The sheer amount of raw minerals and materials, both esoteric or otherwise was quite vast. They would need to spend years just on sequestering and accumulating all the needed resources, especially for something as extreme as a high-speed transportation system that would take a myriad of quality esoteric substances.

If the Emperor of Harmony truly had a friendly elder tree specimen at his disposal, then the allure of integrating the Elder Tree into the construction process to accelerate the process of construction was quite clear.

“With the help of the Elder Tree, the Kandrian Empire was able to locate and extract treasures that would have otherwise taken us many years to achieve,” the Emperor of Harmony explained. “Thus, it’s ability to accelerate sequestering operations to a great degree. The Kandrian Empire is willing to disclose all our classified information on the Elder Tree operations we commenced, however I’m sure that the world recalls how there was a phase where the the Kandrian Empire gained treasures at an astronomic rate shortly before and during the East Panamic War.”

It was an old memory, but not one that the leaders of human civilization had forgotten. Almost as if they had prophetic power upon the locations of the many treasures. Many had assumed that it was due to the Silas Clan’s prophecy, but then it begged the question why the Silas Clan never utilized the resources before they joined the Kandrian Empire.

“I have already communicated with the Elder Tree and thanks to the Kandrian Empire’s friendly relationship with the Elder Tree, we have already reached an agreement with the entity to have it help us in the long term with our construction process,” the Emperor of Harmony patiently continued as the reality of the matter settled down upon the audience. “I believe that with its help, we can complete the construction of the economic corridor network in just five years.”

This reignited the interest in the economic corridor network initiative of the Emperor of Harmony among the leaders of human civilization. Now, once more, it became more viable and practical, assuming that the Emperor of Harmony was not misrepresenting the facts of the matter.

Five years was still a long time, but it was worth it considering the sheer gains that the economic corrdors would make for it.

“It isn’t going to be easy,” the Emperor of Harmony spoke with an intense tone. “It can’t be done by the Kandrian Empire alone, it can only be done if all of human civilization cooperates with us on this project. If ever human polity, every organization, every individual, and every Martial Artists cooperates with us, then we can complete this super-mega project across the Panama Continent in just five years.”
