The Martial Unity

Chapter 3085: Ships From Afar

STEP

A battalion of Martial Sages led by the Reverend of Reckoning emerged from the World Bridge portal to the very North of the Panama Continent at the Namgung Dynasty.

Sage Jinryong Namgung was in a deeply displeased mood.

The idea that the Namgung Dynasty was being targeted by one of the five incoming convoys of Martial Sages was truly displeasing.

It also gave him chills thinking about what would have happened if he didn’t join the Martial Insurance Pact of the Emperor of Harmony.

“We could very well have been routed.”

Even though he knew that the Emperor of Harmony was just trying to monger power through this political move, he also understood that at times like this, it was in his interest to play along.

His gaze shifted back to the sixty Martial Sages who had come along with him to the Namgung Dynasty.

If not for them, he truly wasn’t confident in his ability to protect his own nation.

An admission that would have been unthinkable for him in the past before the Beast Domain. In the past eleven years, the arrogance had been beaten out of him in the Central Highlands, where it was difficult even for Martial Sages to feel particularly strong.

His serious gaze returned to the Namgung Dynasty before him with a satisfied gaze.

“Indeed, the Namgung Dynasty is the most magnificent Sage-level powerhouse ever.”

The nation looked like it didn’t belong in the mortal word.

It almost glistened magnificently in the warm light of the morning Sun shining upon it, clad in many a precious metal across it and its beautiful architecture.

His attention was drawn by a convoy of Namgung Martial Masters who approached him with relief and ecstasy.

“Patriarch Namgung!”

“Your Excellency!”

“Welcome back to the Namgung Dynasty.”

The Reverend of Reckoning smiled with pride. “Warriors of Namgung. It is good to see that you have defended this great nation during my time away. Alas, we do not have time…”

His eyes sharpened. “…A great enemy approaches from afar.”

The air grew heavy as peril tingled in the atmosphere.

“Lead us to the battlefront immediately.”

The Martial Masters nodded with severe expressions.

“Right this way, My Lord.”

Soon enough, the sixty Martial Sages found themselves off the coast of Namgung Territory.

The sound of washing waves hitting the rocky coast and the odor of salty humidity did little to dull the sense of danger that they felt tingling across their skin.

The Martial Sages honed their focus and concentration, staying their power until the very last moment.

Based on reports of the true world’s power, they knew that they would need every ounce of power they could muster against their enemies if they had any hope of fighting back against them.

RUMBLE…

The world tremored.

The waters quaked.

The air darkened.

“They’re coming soon” the Reverend of Reckoning’s tone was intense.

Almost as proof of that, the Namgung Dynasty’s long-range siege weapons began firing away a great distance beyond the horizon.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

Its attack, vastly more simple and primitive compared to the Esocline Federation’s impregnable fortifications and defense systems, were still tremendously destructive.

Immensely powerful beams of light surged forth with great speed and power, threatening to destroy any and everything that dared to approach the Namgung Dynasty from afar.

And yet, it wasn’t enough by itself.

RUMBLE!

The world shook as the Martial Sages spotted their enemy in the distance.

Massive ships emerged from below the horizon, appearing in full view as they surged forth with great speed and vigor.

Each ship was tremendous in its dimensions, stretching nearly a kilometer in length as it towered over the ocean with indomitable regality. The fleet of ships possessed much less variation than the aircrafts of the Imperial Tekvorian Federation which was each a different model at its very fundamental.

And yet, there was enough individuality in them that they were not merely a standardized and mass-produced process, either.

If not for the sheer severity of the circumstances they were in, they might have even admired the artistic design of each ship.

It was intricate up close and aesthetically beautiful from afar.

It was nothing short of a product of love and passion.

The entirety of the sides and the hull of the ships were covered in elaborate panels of intricate line art that told a long story, featuring a strange set of people with short, small bodies and long beards.

It wasn’t just the sides or the hulls of the ships, it was also the internals and the deck of the ships that were extraordinarily impressive.

Despite having a superficial resemblance with ships of old, a single look at each ship was enough for the Martial Sages to realize that they were infested with immense technology, powered by a great energy reactors derived from high technology that left an intense energy signature that could be felt from kilometers away.

No ship should have had the power to defend against the sieges of the Namgung Dynasty, and yet—

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

The Martial Sages of human civilization watched with a grave expression as extraordinarily intense electromagnetic shields managed protected the ships from most of the damage, bleeding out most of the power of the beams by the time they struck the ships.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

The ships themselves were fashioned from extraordinarily sturdy armor plating despite being deprived of any and all esoteric substances, showcasing a profound mastery of non-esoteric science and technology and extraordinary craftsmanship.

The siege attacks halted as the ships drew closer and closer to the coast of the Namgung Dynasty, damaged but functional, and too close to attack their opponent without damaging the Namgung Dynasty itself.

The air boiled with tension as the ships drew closer.

The Martial Artists took their stances, staying the activation of their Realms of power until the very final moment, sharpening their eyes with grave severity.

RUMBLE…

The mighty ships stopped several kilometers away from the Namgung Dynasty as the ships opened several doors, deploying several entities from within.
