The Martial Unity

The world shook as the monsters surged forth with tremendous power and speed, threatening to consume them were they stood. The Martial Sages gritted their teeth as they activated their Realms of power in the blink of an eye, defending themselves with greater force and speed.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

RUMBLE!!!!!

The therianthropes widened their eyes with a stunned expression as the Martial Sages expertly dealt with the beasts and monsters with a profound mastery the likes of which they had never seen before.

Several Martial Sages expertly evaded and dodged the attacks of the beasts and monsters, as though predicting exactly how they would move. Meanwhile, other Martial Sages blocked their attacks with expert proficiency, negating their attacks rather easily.

What truly stunned the therianthropes was the fact that the Martial Sages identified the weaknesses of the beasts and monsters very rapidly, while also understanding how to handle those weaknesses expertly.

“This…” the Minotaur murmured with great shock as he rode his Destroyer Bull. “How are you so familiar with the weaknesses of our partners?! Who leaked our information to all of you?!”

Bodhisattva Maitreyi simply smiled mysteriously at his words.

Of course, the people of the Panama Continent didn’t have access to any confidential information about the therianthropes of the Kiriket Continent. Instead, they found themselves relying on Rui’s Hellbringer Model.

This diluted form of the Tree of Life model was shockingly effective against the artificially enhanced beasts and monsters of the true world, although it didn’t work nearly as well as it did against the beasts and monsters of the Panama Continent.

Still, the fact that it was significantly effective was truly stunning. It showed that even though the true world had been separated by a manifold from the Panama Continent for who knew how long, the life inside and outside the manifold were still evolutionarily related.

It meant that all life on Gaia on all the continents was still part of the same Tree of Life. It made sense, given that the Minotaur had called the Panama Continent the Lost Continent.

“You people…” the Minotaur growled with anger. “You dare harm our beasts…?”

“Amitabha. Even now, we can have peace,” Bodhisattva Maitreyi remarked with a serious tone. “We don’t need to wage war with each other. If you are against the very notion of us capturing and trading beasts and monsters against their will, then we can issue licenses for you to send a handful of your agents to this continent and engage with specific beasts and monsters in any way you deem fit. Is that amenable to you?”

She tried one more time to broker a relationship of peace with the therianthropes of the Kiriket Continent.

“I believe that this option will be much more beneficial to you,” Bodhisattva Maitreyi informed the Minotaur. “I do believe that you would rather not have your beasts die at our hands for avoidable reasons.”

The Minotaur huffed with contempt.

“You think you can kill our beasts that easily? Think again.”

BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!!!

“Rgh!”

“Ack!”

“AARGH!”

Her expression crumpled with concern as the beasts, manipulated by the therianthropes began displaying power and function that rapidly diverged from what the Hellbringer Model predicted of them.

Some beasts randomly displayed the ability to turn invisible even to the eyes of Martial Sages.

Others suddenly gained the ability to divide and clone themselves.

Some randomly displayed hidden abilities to deploy biohazards.

BOOOOOM BOOOOOM BOOOOOM!!!!!

The Martial Sages gritted their teeth as they struggled to keep up with the rapid and unpredictable changes, throwing them off their game to a certain extent and evening out the battlefield.

“This…” Bodhisattva Maitreyi understood what was going on with a grim expression.

Not all the enhancements and upgrades applied to the artificial lifeforms were on a genetic level. There were biotechnological systems implanted into the creatures that were not only of an entirely different species but even entire non-existent with artificial genomes.

This obstructed their Hellbringer Model’s veracity, leaving them only partially able to adaptively evolve to each beast.

“You can’t afford to focus on them, human woman.”

Just the slightest moment of distraction was enough for the astronomically powerful bull to overcome the distance between itself and her. Its massive tusks weren’t simply benign constructs, but manipulated quantum fields by manipulating the very fabric of space, drawing her in with extraordinarily intense gravity.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!!!

Within the span of a single nanosecond, the collision had already blasted Bodhisattva Maitreyi.

And yet, Minotaur widened his eyes as he found a blinding beam of light where he expected the mangled body of his opponent.

“Heavenly Step of Boundless Light.”

VMMM!!!!!

Bodhisattva Maitreyi entered her standard combat mode, blasting across the bull with a myriad of attacks as she beamed across the entirety of the titanic creature. And yet, her eyes widened as each of her attacks failed to leave more than mild wounds upon the enormous bull-like creature.

BOOOM BOOOM BOOOM!!!!!

FSSS…

The black fur and skin of the creature were scarcely singed by her tremendously intense attacks.

Her eyes widened with surprise as she felt a profound surge of electricity surging through the bull’s body, empowering it with each of her attacks.

“The biophotoelectric absorption epithelial system makes the Destroyer Bull almost immune to electromagnetic attacks,” the Minotaur snorted. “If light is the only thing you have, there you’re doomed to destruction.”

Bodhisattva Maitreyi’s eyes sharpened.

In that case, all she needed to do was take out the rider.

She swerved as a beam of light as she surged straight towards the Minotaur riding above the beast. And yet, the Destroyer Bull was not one to allow for its most weakness to be targeted so easily.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!

A tremendous gravitational wave redirected the sum totality of her light away, warding off her attacks as the Minotaur grew absorbed into the enormous creature.

RUMBLE!!!!!

The Destroyer Bull’s eyes shifted as a more human consciousness seemed to gain a degree of primacy within the bull’s mind.

“Behold…” An inhuman, deep gruff escaped the Destroyer Bull. “Behold the true form of the cooperation between therianthropes and beasts.”

RUMBLE!!!!!

The world shook as the Destroyer Bull roared before surging towards Bodhisattva Maitreyi at extraordinarily high speeds.
