Chapter 3238: Mega Flora

Rui dispelled Faraday’s silence, surging forth as he knocked the dark elves out with a swift attack.

BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM…!

In the blink of an eye, they collapsed as the flora of the Forest of War surged up to protect them and cushion their fall gently.

“It’s no fun using the same solution over and over again,” Rui remarked with an intrigued smile. “Let’s put it aside for now and continue.”

WHOOSH!

He surged forth, heading down as he continued going deeper and deeper into the stronger portions of the elven warriors.

He was not satisfied with those he had already fought.

He sought to fight those who could bring out even more of his true power.

Thankfully, he didn’t need to go too far.

“Your rampage through our territory ends here, outsider.”

He felt a faint sense of pressure on him as the voice of a single woman reached his ears.

A single elven warrior in the air, without any support to her body, as she glared at him with a furious expression.

Rui paused in the air some distance away from her as he studied her.

Her body was garbed with vines and leaves that bound her entire body tightly from her neck all the way to the tip of her toes, forming a dense organic armor. She radiated a profound level of power unlike anything he had sensed from the previous elves.

“You must have achieved an even greater degree of the Hymn of Mind and Soul, as I have heard it be called,” Rui realized as he studied her body. “Remarkable.”

“Enough.” Her eyes flared with bloodlust. “You will desecrate our forest no more.”

She raised her hand, snapping her fingers.

RUMBLE!!!

The world shook as the forest around them and as far as the eye could see began growing.

It began growing in volume and height at an alarming speed.

RUMBLE!!!!!

Rui’s eyes widened with shock as the forest surged with tremendous magnitude, creating a zone of mega-flora that was as large as a city.

One moment, he basked in the bright light of the morning Sun.

The very next moment, however, he was drowned in the darkness of a giant forest that enveloped the skies, piercing the clouds.

“Flora is limitless in its power.”

Her voice emerged from the trees all around her.

Rui had completely lost track of her actual person.

“No…” he murmured under his breath. “It’s like… she’s everywhere. She’s able to spread her presence across the entire region.”

She harmonized with nature to such an extent that the gap between her and it had become thin.

As though she was on the very verge of merging with nature on the spot, then and there.

Suddenly, chills crawled across his skin as his pupils dilated.

WHOOSH!

He summersaulted away, narrowly evading a tremendously powerful surge of sharp branches from one of the trees around him.The sheer power with which the attack had charged at him was so great that it would have undoubtedly blasted a hole through his body had it touched him.

And yet, it was just the beginning.

RUMBLE!!!

The world shook as boundless branches around him charged with great power and speed, threatening to destroy him where he was. Rui’s eyes sharpened as he activated Neo Godspeed, shooting through as he narrowly wound about the many attacks converging on him.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!!!

The sheer speed and power with which the projectiles of flora charged him were so great that even he felt threatened by them when limited to just his Martial Heart. He activated Wind Breathing and Gale Force Breathing while activating his systems of thought.

Of course, without his Martial Mind, there was a limit to the number that he could use. A limitation that he had lamented before he had broken through to the Master Realm.

“You are quick, I will give you that. But…”

Her tone grew perilous.

“That won’t be enough to save you.”

RUMBLE!!!

His eyes widened as the giant leaves of the mega-flora around him began charging towards him with blinding speed.

Each leaf had become even larger than he was.

Each leaf was razor sharp, threatening to dissect him in half.

WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH WHOOSH!

Rui’s footwork blazed as he dodged each and every single leaf with perfection. Without the Eye of Prophecy, he would have undoubtedly been torn to shreds in such a circumstance where he couldn’t even sense his opponent properly.

The VOID algorithm was out of its element because it was dealing with an entire mega-forest as an opponent, rather than a single discrete individual. Of course, he could and was forming a predictive model on the entire forest, but that took much, much longer than a single human being, who only had two arms and two legs.

The SOUL System required him to be able to sense the mind, which he was unable to do in the current circumstances.

It wasn’t just a matter of distance or the fact that the trees retained their insulating properties that made surveillance hard, it was also the fact that her mind was no longer discreetly within her brain.

It was precisely because of his mind sense that he could tell that she had integrated into nature to a much deeper extent than he even imagined possible.

That was why he could tell.

In terms of power, she was the equivalent of the Master Realm, perhaps a bit on the lower end.

An excited smile emerged on his face.

“Sounds fun.”

His eyes flared with determination as he pushed himself to the limit with just his Martial Heart alone, doing the best he could to keep up with all the attacks.

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!

It wasn’t easy to avoid the exploding flora all around him that converged upon him from all around him; it required him to be constantly on the move as he used Phantom Step to juke attempts at crushing him with omnidirectional explosives.
