Chapter 321 Christopher’s Fate Part 6
Chapter 321: Christopher's Fate Part 6
"That's exactly the reason why you shouldn't underestimate me," Wesley's lips turned into a smile.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, five Undead soldiers jumped out of the bush by the side in an ambush.
Magnus was completely caught off guard, instantly making him retreat away to avoid the incoming attack.
Bang!
The five Undead soldiers turned to look at Magnus, pissed after missing their surprise attack.
"Are you seriously thinking of stopping me with just these five Undead soldiers?" Magnus shook his head in disappointment.
Wesley didn't continue to bother with Magnus as he retreated towards the location where they and Kayn's group had agreed to meet beforehand.
"You are not going anywhere!" Magnus roared out as he charges straight towards the five Undead soldiers.
As easily as cutting pie, Magnus instantly cut the five Undead soldiers in half and went right away to continue chasing after Wesley.
However, to Magnus surprise, five more Undead soldiers suddenly came out of the bush. And in the next following moment, more and more Undead soldiers started showing themselves to block his path.
Roughly calculating their numbers, Magnus shortly came to the conclusion that there are close to a hundred Undead soldiers in front. As for the possibility that there are more, only time would tell.
"It was a mistake to underestimate you," Magnus smiled in excitement. He had missed joining in the battle between the Assembly of Freedom and the Green Horn City not so long ago, so this is a good enough opportunity for him to at the very least experience a bit of fighting against a considerable number of enemies.
"I hope you don't mind me satisfying my desire,"
Magnus' eyes turned red out of bloodthirst as his body vanished into thin air.
In the following moment, everyone could see traces of a red streak of light moving around the path blocked by the Undead soldiers.
Everytime the red streak of light passes through a group of Undead soldiers, all of them would immediately explode in the next second, leaving piles of bones on where they once stood.
The red streak of light quickly waves through the group of Undead soldiers like an unhindered wind passing through every space in between.
After close to a minute, Magnus' figure could be seen once again. This time, he is standing at the end of the path.
Looking behind Magnus, one could see the minced bone pieces of all the Undead soldiers that dared to block his path.
The pieces were still moving since they are all undying beings, but they could no longer serve their purpose of blocking Magnus from chasing after Wesley.
Unexpectedly though…
Boom!
A loud sound suddenly exploded right in front of Magnus as if a hard and heavy object dropped in front of him.
After the dust settled down, Magnus soon saw Maria's sword has penetrated the ground a few inches close to his feet.
"Is it so difficult for you to understand that you cannot defeat me?" Magnus looked at Maria who is blocking his path all by herself. But suddenly, he noticed that there's not even a single wound or scratch on Maria's body despite the result of their earlier exchange.
"Honestly, you aren't really that scary as I originally thought you were," Maria began cracking her neck and afterwards she waves her hand, taking out a pair of gold plated gauntlets out from her Storage Ring.
"Gauntlets?" Magnus can't help raising his eyebrow.
It wasn't any ordinary gauntlets though. It more or less resembles a boxing gloves, a huge one to be exact, compare to the gauntlets that they normally wear to protect their hands.
After taking out her gauntlets, Maria immediately made her stand as she held her right hand forward while the other hand close to her cheeks, both hands were clinched in a fist.
"Is that some sort of martial arts?" Magnus narrowed his eyes in surprise. He has never seen anyone in 'The Bridge' using martial arts before. The reason is not because it is rare, instead there's simply no other existing class in this place that supports this type of combat style, at least as far as he knows. Not to mention, the type that uses one's own fist as weapon.
Needless to say, this would be an entirely different story if Kayn was here as he would instantly be able recognize the sort of stance that Maria is exhibiting right now as the renowned arcane class called Soulfist.
This arcane class was already found a long time ago and was sold in an underground auction house a few years back to an anonymous buyer. That buyer should be Maria or someone close to her, which simply means that she came to 'The Bridge' after activating the Soulfist arcane class for herself.
Although the Soulfist has the word 'Soul' in its name, it doesn't actually have any attributes related to soul attacks or defense, even in the later stages. Instead, its main description simply implies that its power is so strong that it has the capability to burst and crash a person soul into dust. Just a figure of speech though, not literally.
The main reason for that is because the Soulfist class has a serius burst damage capabilities. To simply put, it has the capability to input huge amount of mana and direct it into their fist thus allowing the user to output a similar degree of power. Only in their first though, and it doesn't include any other parts of their bodies, thus why the name Soulfist.
"Just to clarify, I wasn't fighting you seriously a while ago since our main goal was to simply save Christopher. I simply serve as a distraction so that Wesley can achieve our goal," Maria smiled.
"Wesley is just right over there," Magnus scuffed.
"Are you sure? How about you look closely," Maria smiled.
Following Maria's instruction, Magnus soon realized that the one he thought to be Wesley carrying Christopher is actually nothing but a mere Undead soldier carrying antoher Undead soldier. They were wearing the same clothes as Wesley and Christopher, that's why he thought they were the same.
