From what he had learned, Aion concluded that the sniper class wouldn't be that effective in the labyrinth. Fortunately, Aion just got a class that specialized in melee fighting. As long as the corridors weren't stupidly small, he would be fine.

"It is not over yet, but I believe that the materials of the boss will make the refinement of the necromancer class reach the max level, but I need to find materials to help with the lancer class," Aion thought. "I might find some in the labyrinth, but I should try to cover my bases before we enter it."

Aion wished that he had some materials saved, but the shells of the aquatic monsters wouldn't work to refine a spear, so that wasn't possible. Besides, he had to increase his defensive power, or he wouldn't have survived the battle against the guardian.

"How long until we reach the labyrinth?" Aion asked.

pAn,Da n<0,>v,e1 "Three more weeks, the kingdom where we are heading now is located on the northern parts of this sea, so it will take a while to reach it," Sauros replied. "Fortunately, they welcome visitors who want to deal with the labyrinth."

"Isn't that dangerous?" Aion asked. "The risk of making the labyrinth grow bigger isn't high?"

"Under normal conditions, yes, that would be too dangerous," Sauros said. "However, just like dungeons, labyrinths can be a mountain of resources. Letting people fail there only makes the power of the dungeon to lure and make the monsters breed faster, giving birth to more monsters and materials. People never give up on going because they can find the items left by others when they fall, and defeating the final boss of the labyrinth will give them a chance to become one of the richest people in the world."

"Just by selling the materials of the boss?" Aion asked while frowning.

"No, unlike dungeons, labyrinths have their cores exposed in their final parts, so you can defeat the guardian and claim a small mountain worth of magic stones, which is the core," Sauros explained. "The core keeps growing over time, and after three hundred years…"

"It is that big, huh…" Aion rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"With that being said, we need to get stronger to succeed on the next mission," Sauros said and then summoned his weird staff. "Let's spar for a while. Even if I am weaker than you, I should be able to offer better practice than just swinging your weapon at nothing."

"If you say so," Aion shrugged.

It has been five years since Aion got the necromancer class, and it sure took a while for him to reach that far… Still, it wasn't surprising, given that it took him ten years for him to get into the first new class.

In any case, Aion didn't feel the need to train with that class, not as he could anyway since it had low physical parameters. That being said, since the lancer class was at a low level as well, Aion was the one who had a hard time training with Sauros. To make sure that he wouldn't realize that there was something weird with him, at times, he used Force release.

During the next few weeks, Aion looked forward to the stops that they would need to make in order to get some supplies. Still, he had forgotten that they got a lot when they defeated the pirates, so they didn't need to stop anywhere.

"You look disappointed…" Seris suddenly appeared and then said. "Although you look annoyed most of the time when we stop somewhere, you are looking forward to seeing new places. I guess it is only natural considering your age and the fact that you didn't leave that kingdom on vacation before."

"I get annoyed when we get sidetracked," Aion said. "Anyway, it has been a while since you left your room. Are you stuck and in need of a change of pace or something?"

"Haha, I am a genius when it comes to the creation of magic items and the use of runes, I don't get stuck," Seris said.

"I see. Then you must be producing quite a lot of magic items," Aion said. "I am hoping to see a lot of tools that will help on our mission once we arrive at our destination."

Seris groaned in pain. She was so easy to read… despite that. Most people have things that they take pride in. Seris took pride in her craftsmanship skills, and admitting that she was having a hard time somewhere wasn't something she was willing to do.

"Doing the same thing over and over again wears the mind quite easily. You should take a break now and then to keep your mind and skills at the peak," Aion said.

"I told you, I am not stuck or anything," Seris said.

"I am not saying again that you are," Aion explained. "I am saying that you need to rest properly and take your time doing other things to look after your health. That is technically part of the job, isn't it?"
