The Villain's Story

Chapter 717 717: [717] How to slay a thunder giant.{1}

Fifty-six hearts, fifty-six massive hearts that the fragment of Kizmal possessed, that pumped blood of ferocious power and heat to all parts of his body, and their targets. But to kill the abominable giant, they did not need to destroy each and every heart.

Such a task was impossible, Kizmal possessed frightening power, and a battle of attrition was not a viable option against a giant capable of eradicating them with one good move.

Eighteen.

The magic number, the number of hearts they needed to destroy to kill it. While it was still far-fetched to say Kizmal would crumble after they destroyed the required number of hearts, but it was still a solid plan.

It was a goal in mind, and that helped them greatly.

“Damn it…”

Edward shuddered as he saw the massive body of Kizmal rise from the grave, swathes of water fell from the rising corpse, and threatened to drown them. Edward was not alone, everyone besides Alan was shaking.

Their bodies still remembered the sensation of death vividly. But they had to curb such hesitations… because Kizmal had risen fully.

Without wasting another breath, Alan and Kazikato transformed into dragons and rose high up. Kazikato carried the team on his back, whilst Alan met Kizmal head on, alone.

He was summoning a [Supreme Meteor] in the sky, and also unleashed a breath of energy towards Kizmal’s face, who promptly clapped his hands and unleased a beam of eradicating energy to kill Alan.

Wrath was all there was on it’s face, pure rage towards the dragons.

Alan evaded the beam of electrifying death, and wrapped himself around Kizmal’s necks, intending to strangle the beast.

But he was simply buying time, time for the [Supreme Meteor] to form, and time for everyone else.

And thankfully, Kizmal was focused entirely on him, it was as if he had a special hatred against frost dragons in particular. It wasn’t any surprise, considering who killed him.

Alan let out a roar and a bit into Kizmal’s left eye, he endured the pain of the scalding hot blood going down his throat and burning him from the inside. He had cast some ice magic to offset it, but it had failed.

Kizmal roared in pain as it raised its hands to grab the dragon on his neck, and unleashed another beam of eradicating energy, but before any could land, the massive dragon disappeared into thin air. Alan used [Instantaneous Teleportation] to get away quickly, and dropped the finished [Supreme Meteor] on the damn giant.

Kizmal was forced to use another beam to counter the meteor, and Alan began his reckless pestering once more, keeping the attention on him.

Kazikato, meanwhile, was busy dropping everyone off at certain parts of the giant’s body. Edward and Olivia were dropped on each thigh. Olivia stabbed her rapier into the body to gain footing before she began to summon her spirits, while Edward simply grabbed onto the skin.

“… Haha!”

He let out an excited, barely contained laugh. No longer was the electrical field on the giant’s body which threatened to paralyze them and send them down to their doom a threat. The rune engraved on his body was working, and now he had a fighting chance.

He could walk all over this giant without a worry in the world, well, as long as he was not the center of attention.

He gulped as he looked at the shining lights up above, Alan and Kizmal were practically trading beams of energy back and forth at one another, and pretty soon, lightning would begin to fall.

That would be his time to shine, but for now, he had to locate the hearts located in the legs. Before the fight had begun, Sabrina had made them all memorize a detailed map of the giant, a map where the location of every heart was apparent.

While he had memorized, the real thing was very different, thankfully, Sabrina had created a spell which was like a map, only of the giant’s body instead of a landmass, Edward gazed at the large display in front of him, upon which a big red dot was up ahead.

The fifty-first heart, his target.

Determined, and even excited, Edward began to make his climb using his claws, digging deep into the skin for a firm grip, but not enough to draw blood.

Olivia was doing the same, but using the help of her spirits to ascend.

Meanwhile, Kazikato hastily made his way upwards, he knew he didn’t have a lot of time, Alan could not keep Kizmal occupied for long, he had to go and help.

He dropped Sabrina off at the drums on the back of the giant, He was unaware as to why she wanted to go there again, especially since there was no heart near there, but he trusted her judgment… But he did not trust the judgment of the only passenger left.

[Come on, faster!]

Alexander yelled in his mind with the help of the telepathy network Sabrina set up. It was no use trusting their ears after all in this chaos. Alexander was still adamant of his plan…

And the method he had suggested going up there was…fun, according to him. He had suggested Kazikato throw him with the help of his tail, directly into Kizmal’s ears.

Now, this was hardly an easy task! Despite the ear canal being a big and obvious target, there was lightning all around it, and Alan was doing a pretty good job at making sure Kizmal’s head was not stationary.

Now, he was no amateur at aiming… But this was a little bit of an absurd request, was it not?

Alexander was already standing on Kazikato’s tail, with lights shining in his eyes as he took a pose.

[Come on!]

Kazikato let out a sigh, and whisked his body like a rubber band, launching the excited teenager towards the target.

Alexander soared through the air, as the harsh wind contorted his face from that of a human to a disgusting demon.

“Yippee!”

He was enjoying it far too much.
