The Villain's Story

Chapter 728 728: To fight is to survive!

Alan approached her slowly, with measured steps as Sabrina silently waited for him to get close enough.

It was an odd sight, watching a brute of muscle casually approach a girl a head shorter than him, her fists in front of her like that of a boxer.

Alan also took the same stance as he got closer, but he didn’t make the first move. Instead he prompted Sabrina to do so.

She did, doing a simple jab that Alan didn’t even bother blocking. He didn’t have to, it was aimed at his forearm anyways.

He sighed, and punched forward, gently. But it was still fast. He had kept speed but not strength in his punch.

Regardless, Sabrina flinched, and her guard automatically went to her face, blocking his gentle fist. However, she remained in that position for too long, allowing him to do another attack.

Alan sighed and put his left hand on the right side of her stomach, and said.

“Out. Counter attack, create distance, just do anything but completely block your vision and leave the rest of your body open for a few seconds.”

He removed his hand and assumed his stance one more, Sabrina did the same and braced herself.

However, the punch didn’t come from the front, like she had expected.

Alan had ducked and lightly tapped her side, where her liver was located.

A good shot by anyone to the liver would immobilize the unfortunate soul on the receiving end for a few moments, a good shot by Alan Peccator would make it explode, in normal circumstances.

“Focus on the shoulders and the hips, they tell you every thing.”

Sabrina was a bit taken aback, and her face turned somewhat red, thankfully Alan didn’t notice.

How was she supposed to focus on the shoulders and the hips?! Especially his?! Shoulders that were more like boulders and don’t even get started on Alan’s hips! He was the right amount of muscle everywhere!

It was hard for a girl to focus when facing someone like that. But Alan didn’t wait for her to collect her thoughts and calm herself down. He instead went for another punch, this time an uppercut.

Sabrina was taken aback, and instead of blocking it she jumped back. It was anything but proper, but it did the job!

Alan grinned, and moved closer as Sabrina flustered once more, unable to take in his figure without certain parts taking importance. And thus, Alan successfully took her out.

He placed a hand on her stomach once more, and said ‘Out!’

“… This is unfair.”

It totally was.

“If you don’t want to do defence now, we can do attack instead.”

They had been focusing on her defense for a while, with Alan being the agressor and her being the target of his ruthless(harmless) strikes.

She nodded, reluctantly and slapped herself lightly on both sides of her face, banishing the unnecessary thoughts.

She lunged forward, extending her right fist encased in a furious storm of mana, but Alan simply parried it with his shoulder, but he didn’t press on.

He simply went back to his original stance, his fists just below his eyes, and Sabrina let out a flurry of blows, to the best of her ability.

Alan merely blocked them all effortlessly.

“Slow, don’t just go for strengh, go for speed too.”

She heeded his advice, and focused more mana onto her legs and joints, lessening the strenght in the muscles of her upper body and… jumped.

Alan sighed, and grabbed her leg that was coming for his head and gently placed her down.

“Don’t do stupid stuff like that.”

“What was wrong this time?!”

Alan sighed, and advised.

“If possible, don’t take your feet off the ground. Power originates from the feet, from beneath.”

“I thought you said to go for speed.”

“Yeah, but don’t forget strength.”

Alan instructed her to start again, he had taught her the basics of boxing already, and with her memory, he knew she wouldn’t forget.

But boxing wasn’t the only thing he had taught her, he also told her other things.

Positioning herseld, analyzing weakness, an opening, and even doing something slightly unpredictable.

And she did, she did do something unpredictable. She barraged Alan with a flurry of controlled fists and followed with a hook when she realized they were useless.

But instead, the hook was a front! She instead aimed to kick him in then liver! It wouldn’t do anything significant, but she would have landed a solid hit at the very least!

Unfortunately, Alan saw through it all and raised his leg to block it. Her strike hit his knee instead of the liver, and she squealed in pain, crouching down and suppressing a cry.

“That was good, a bit slow though.”

But Alan was happy, he bent down and massaged her foreleg and used his flames to heal it. He was proud of it, she had used a feint for the first time!

It hadn’t succeeded, but it was something!

They continued this for a while, and the audience was growing bored.

Olivia, Alexander and Kazikato watched in silence, the latter two barely suppressing the urge to sleep. They were bored just looking at it.

“You know…”

Olivia’s voice knocked them out of their lethargy, and focused on her. It was better than whatever was in front.

“I wonder how nice he would have been if I requested he teach me.”

They stayed silent, and after a while Olivia chuckled.

“Yeah, I would probably be puking after every hit.”

She knew for certain Alan would hold back, but it wouldn’t be to the point of gentle taps. He would hit hard enough to knock the wind out of her.

Kazikato and Alexander stared at her silence, their eyes empty, but their minds were filled with what would happen to them if they made the same request.

Kazikato and Alexander gave her an answer, respectively.

“I would probably be puking my guts and blood out.”

“I would be shitting and pissing blood.”

Somehow, she knew that was exactly what would go down.
