Chapter 1049: The Reformed Celestial Dragons

Chapter 1049: The Reformed Celestial Dragons

Due to Valefor's interest in the Celestial Dragons, he had moved them all to the Evernight Territory. Originally, some Celestial Dragons were still rebellious and defiant toward Valefor.

However, after many days of relentless beating, everyone had ultimately submitted and regarded Valefor as their boss. They had all acknowledged his great strength, the Celestial Dragon King included.

Interestingly, the Celestial Dragons had developed masochistic excitement and enjoyment from Valefor's beating, and their passion for training reached an even more extreme level.

If Valefor weren't free to train (beat) them, the Celestial Dragons would look for the strong Vampires to bother.

Naturally, the Vampires weren't willing to spar with such powerful Dragonoids. However, they couldn't withstand the provocations and incentives from the Celestial Dragons and eventually caved in.

Even though the Vampires weren't the Celestial Dragons' opponents, their inherently high healing factors made them perfect punching bags.

Initially, the Vampires were at a complete disadvantage in their spars against the Celestial Dragons. However, after receiving blood compensation from the Celestial Dragons, the Vampires' strength started to advance by leaps and bounds.

Presently, the Vampire Lords were still no match for the weakest Celestial Dragon. They were still overwhelmed in a contest of strength. However, they could endure and draw out the fight, gaining an advantage over time.

"Welcome, Boss!"

The Celestial Dragons greeted Valefor in a unified, orderly formation as he entered the large martial courtyard where they trained.

None of the Celestial Dragons' former arrogance and pride could be seen.

While they were still shirtless, they started wearing Gi-like training pants. Coupled with their reformed attitudes, they appear more like disciplined thugs in a martial gang than overly proud members of a noble race.

It was more evident when they spoke to each other as they would use crude and vulgar speeches.

"I heard another person in the group caused trouble in the city today. Who was it? Step forward," Valefor calmly demanded the troublemaker to surrender himself.

"It was me, Boss—!"

Peng!

Just as a Dragonoid man stepped forward, Valefor sent him flying with a kick. The latter smashed into a stone pillar but didn't break it due to its strong enhancement magic.

Nevertheless, the Dragonoid man wasn't angered by the sudden kick and returned obediently after being called.

"So, what actually happened today?" Valefor calmly inquired.

"I tried to buy some snacks at a food stand today before the owner wouldn't accept my payment, saying he didn't have enough change for my blood currency. As such, I said I didn't need any change, but the person still wouldn't accept," the Dragonoid man obediently explained, standing straight with his arms crossed behind his back.

"Just because of that, not only did you take the owner's food without paying him a single thing in the end, but you also beat the person up and wrecked their food stand?" Valefor uttered, feeling speechless.

"Yes, Boss!" the Dragonoid man admitted straightforwardly.

"Alright," Valefor nodded before sweeping the group with his cold gaze. "You all know the drill: If even one person in the group makes a mistake, everyone will be punished." ȒA𐌽ỒβЕ𝘴

"Yes, Boss! We are ready!"

The entire group of Celestial Dragons simultaneously entered a semi-horse stance as they prepared to take a beating. However, their eyes glimmered with eagerness and excitement.

Of course, such a masochistic attitude toward getting beaten up disgusted Valefor.

He didn't know how or why they became like this. After all, his beatings had always been brutal, leaving the Celestial Dragon teetering on the edge of death. Instead of fearing him, they respected and worshipped him even more.

There was seriously something wrong with their heads.

Of course, there was actually a reason why the Celestial Dragons were so excited about getting beaten up. Every time they recovered from Valefor's beatings, their bodies would become slightly stronger.

Even if the improvement was minuscule, an improvement was still an improvement.

"All of you, come at me at once!" Valefor uttered with mixed feelings. He used to feel great satisfaction from using the Celestial Dragons as punching bags. But now, it just felt like he was touching shit—it was gross.

"Yes, Boss!"

The Celestial Dragons immediately lunged at Valefor with exhilaration, causing the latter's face to become a few shades paler.

If the Celestial Dragons hadn't become his obedient subordinates, Valefor figured he might have already smacked them to death for disgusting him.

While the world was moving forward, the Undying Devil Palace in the Wolf God Domain received another secret visit from the Jade Soul King of Hades.

"What do you want this time, Jade Soul King," Balmodan frowned unwelcomingly at the Jade Soul King's sudden visit.

It was not a good time for them to be seeing each other, but Balmodan did not want to continue their contact either. After all, a lot had changed since the Jade Soul King's last visit.

More importantly, Thanatos couldn't be ignorant about the Jade Soul King's repeated visits; he had just chosen to turn a blind eye until now.

"Is this the attitude you should have when receiving a friend, Immortal Lycan King?" The Jade Soul King's two orbs of green soul fire in his empty eye sockets flickered eerily.

"A friend? Please, our relationship is purely transactional, and if I remember correctly, your last visit was not that long ago. So, why the hell are you already back? What the hell do you want this time?"

Balmodan's frown deepened as he scrutinized the Jade Soul King's ghastly figure for hints of his purpose.

"Kekeke, indeed, that is the case. However, you don't have to worry. I'm not here to ask for that many souls this time; I am only interested in one. The Demigod Soul Master, where is he?" the Jade Soul King asked.

The frown on Balmodan's face quickly disappeared as pity was reflected in his eyes, following a soft sigh.

"That's unfortunate. If you had kept your mouth shut, you might have been able to return to Hades. But now, you can forget about it," Balmodan stated.

"Kekeke, so the rumors are true. There is a Demigod Soul Master here," the Jade Soul King chuckled eerily after confirming the truth, yet unaware of his situation.

He arrogantly replied, "However, you have grown arrogant in the days I haven't seen you, Immortal Lycan King. If I really want to leave, you can't stop me."

"Maybe not him, but I can," Thanatos' cool voice suddenly sounded as he entered their private conversation.

The Jade Soul King was instantly shocked, and a foreboding sense of danger quickly gripped his being as he realized the Lich King had locked onto him. His mind went blank for a moment before he threw an accusatory and angry glare at the Balmodan.

"Immortal Lycan King! You dare rat on me?!"

"Bitch, I didn't even know you were coming!"

Balmodan angrily glared back at the enraged Jade Soul King, who felt he had been wronged.
