The World Conquest: Giving Birth To Become A God
Chapter 808 - 808: The Eye of Plane—OmniSeventy Thousand Years Later—
After relentless work, Maximus finally cultivated a biological micro-surveillance bot.
Infused with Laza’s biological factors and enhanced by the mechanical and alchemical technologies of the previous bots, the new creation looked like a microscopic organism bouncing with joy at its new life.
Acting like his external eyes. Everything it saw, heard, felt, and thought was transmitted directly to his mind.
“Success.”
Finally satisfied with the bot’s optimization, Maximus couldn’t help but smile.
After more than a hundred thousand years of effort and danger, he had done it.
“‘Micro-surveillance bot’ is no longer fitting. From now on, you’ll be known as the Eye of Plane—Omni.”
The omnipresent eyes of the Chaotic Void can see, observe, and exist across all time and space.
Eager to test its function, Maximus released millions of Omnis into the chaotic void.
Traveling at lightning speed, the Omnis soon arrived at the edge of the outer plane, the boundary between the Aeon Plane and the Chaotic Void.
“Stop.”
Arriving at the edge, Maximus halted the Omnis to observe.
The first time he had stepped into this outer plane was after leaving the Primordial Origin Realm.
The outer plane was utterly empty, with no laws, no materials, not the faintest trace of life or matter.
Stopping the Omnis in place, he began to observe the plane’s barrier.
Without the veils of law and matter, he could finally see the true state of the plane’s barrier.
“It should be able to last 13 million years!”
After calculating the rate at which the plane’s barrier was cracking, Maximus deduced how long it could still hold.
“It seems the earlier purge of Tier 12 Dark Beasts has slowed the collapse of the plane’s barrier.”
Instead of lasting only a few million years, the barrier’s lifespan had extended to over ten million.
—
After a few more moments of observation, Maximus commanded the Omnis to fly forward, finally breaching the boundary of the Aeon Plane.
Upon entering the Chaotic Void, Maximus felt a strange sensation.
Connected to the Omnis, everything they saw and felt became part of his perception. It was as if he had stepped into the Void.
He could feel the chaotic laws. Wild, without regularity or logic, giving him waves of enlightenment to the natures of all laws and rules.
Unfortunately, before he could immerse himself in this feeling, endless swarms of Dark Beasts filled his vision.
The sight made his skin crawl. Even though he wasn’t physically present, his body instinctively tensed.
Compared to the Dark Beasts that had swarmed the Dark Void Domain when he had previously used the True Path, this was beyond comparison.
That past encounter was like a drop in the ocean. Now that he was facing the ocean, he began to truly feel its magnificence.
Even though most of these Dark Beasts were only at the Tier 10 realm, the sheer volume made his scalp tingle.
Only now did he fully recall the true horror of the Dark Disaster.
It wasn’t their overwhelming strength or individual power but their endless numbers, capable of driving any being to despair.
Even without a Tier 13 Archon of Darkness or even Tier 12 beasts, the Aeon Plane had no chance of wiping this dark disaster.
No matter how many were killed, how much time passed, or how strong they became, the Dark Disaster was simply inexhaustible.
Unless the Aeon Plane advanced to the Tier 13 realm, where it could escape and navigate the chaotic void, the dark disaster would never disappear from their sight.
It was no wonder, as Mira had said, even Archons chose to flee from the Dark Disaster.
They didn’t underestimate the threat; they simply knew better than to face it.
Even now, with a mind tempered to the extreme, Maximus felt despair creeping into his very origin.
Steadying his racing heart, he shifted his focus to the Omnis, observing how they adapted to the Chaotic Void.
Though encased in Chaos Gold, that alone wasn’t enough to withstand the chaotic void’s lawless irregularities.
Fortunately, the Omnis had grown through the biological factors of the Chaos Eater, making their adaptability unmatched.
Though it was their first exposure to such a harsh environment, the omnis slowly began to cope.
Bit by bit, they built up resistance, toughness, and internal logic to navigate the chaos.
After adapting, the Omni also began to evolve, absorbing the characteristics of chaos and integrating them into itself.
Although slow, the process was steady. Maximus estimated that, in time, the Omnis would truly become omnipresent, able to exist anywhere and everywhere.
As it fully absorbed chaotic energy, the evolutionary factor taken from the Chaos Grass began to activate.
Purifying the chaos energy, the Omni started storing the plane origin within its body, using it to breed another Omni.
Given enough time, these millions of Omnis could multiply and eventually occupy the entire Chaotic Void.
This was what amazed Maximus most.
Able to multiply endlessly, if not for their lack of combat ability, power, and size, they would be comparable to the Dark Disaster itself.
Satisfied with the experiment, he directed millions of Omnis to begin tracking the energy signature of the Black Sigil.
Capable of sensing even the faintest trace of aura, they were the perfect Eyes of the Plane.
Unfortunately, as the years passed and the Omnis zipped through the Chaotic Void, passing countless Dark Beasts, they found nothing.
The Black Sigil seems to have vanished without a trace.
The omnis didn’t even find a single individual from the Black Sigil.
It was as if they had dissolved into the void.
“Could the Omnis be failing to track their scent? No, that’s impossible,” Maximus muttered, immediately shaking his head.
Unless it was an Archon or the distance was astronomical, nothing should be hidden from the Omni.
Yet with not even a hint of the enemy’s presence, a deep, uneasy premonition stirred within Maximus.
He didn’t know who or what it was.
But somewhere out there, something dangerous was approaching the Aeon Plane.
“What could it be…”
