THE YOUNG URBAN DOCTOR
Chapter 664 - Chapter 664: Chapter 664 You've Gone Too FarChapter 664: Chapter 664 You’ve Gone Too Far
In the afternoon class, Luo Ziling received a message from Yang Qingyin.
Yang Qingyin’s message carried a mocking tone. “Junior, I heard that today at noon, two beautiful school belles fought over you. Congratulations, you really have a way with the ladies.”
Looking at Yang Qingyin’s message and the rolling-eye emojis that followed, Luo Ziling didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
He explained the situation as well, making sure to paint himself as completely innocent in the end.
Luo Ziling was also quite good at changing the subject. After a few messages, he told Yang Qingyin that he had already prepared a birthday gift for Chen Qiaoyu: Tianshan Saussurea, saffron, and several other health products. He emphasized that he’d picked these items himself, and their quality couldn’t be compared to what was sold in stores.
After reading Luo Ziling’s explanation and seeing the generous birthday gift he prepared for her mother, Yang Qingyin stopped being huffy and blaming him.
The last class of the afternoon was Advanced Mathematics. Mr. Wang Tongshan spoke with Luo Ziling alone before the class started.
It was only when Mr. Wang approached that Luo Ziling remembered his promise from last week to decide by this Thursday whether he would meet Mr. Wang’s friend for a medical exchange
When Mr. Wang took Luo Ziling aside for a chat, he directly asked him about it: “Tomorrow’s Friday, Ziling, do you have time tomorrow night? If you do, I’ll take you to meet that well-known medical expert in Jingdu. Both of you have a deep interest in traditional medicine, so it would be a great opportunity to exchange ideas, how about it?”
“Unless something special comes up, I should be free tomorrow evening,” Luo Ziling was worried about unexpected events, so he didn’t make an absolute commitment, “If nothing particularly important arises, I will definitely go with you, Mr. Wang. I’m willing to have an exchange with peers, but I don’t want to compete in medical skills. Medicine is for treating people, saving lives and helping the injured, not for comparing prowess. Moreover, the patients of a better healer do not necessarily recover more easily; there are many factors of luck involved in treating illnesses.”
“I understand your point,” Mr. Wang chuckled, “I will convey your thoughts to my friend. I believe he will understand what you mean.”
With that assurance from Mr. Wang, Luo Ziling let out a sigh of relief and stopped worrying about the matter.

After class, Luo Ziling called Yang Qingyin, asking whether she would come to his dormitory to pick up the items or if he should bring them somewhere to meet up.
“Hmph, I wouldn’t go to your dormitory,” Yang Qingyin flatly rejected the idea of showing her face in the male dormitory as Luo Ziling had hoped and bluntly called out his intentions, “You just want me to make an appearance in front of your roommates and earn you some face, don’t you? Three beautiful girls looking for you in one day, your vanity must be through the roof. I won’t let your evil plan succeed!”
Luo Ziling was left speechless by Yang Qingyin’s direct words.
“Come over to my place later. Bring the items with you, I want to take a good look and see if the beauties have bullied you today,” Yang Qingyin huffed, then softened her tone, “And don’t tell Qingye; he might contact you.”
“Alright!” Luo Ziling readily agreed.
After hanging up the phone, Luo Ziling’s mobile immediately rang again. He thought it might be Yang Qingye calling.
But when he saw the caller ID, it was Ouyang Feifei.
He frowned but still answered the call.
“Are you free tonight?” Ouyang Feifei’s soft voice came from the phone, “If you’re free, come over and give me a treatment, it’s been several days since the last one.”
“Did Ouyang Huihui call you?” Luo Ziling countered with a question.
“It has nothing to do with her,” Ouyang Feifei did not deny it but directly ignored Luo Ziling’s question. “Also, I have some things I want to talk to you about. If you’re free, I’ll come pick you up myself, I’m about to get off work. If you’re not, we can reschedule.”
After thinking it over, Luo Ziling eventually couldn’t bring himself to refuse and agreed to go over and treat Ouyang Feifei that evening.
He wasn’t going to treat Ling Jinhua, Li Haiyang, Fang Dongxun, or Ling Mingrui today, so Luo Ziling felt like a day without work was kind of a waste. Treating Ouyang Feifei seemed like a decent choice.
Actually, it must be said, student Luo Ziling was quite dedicated, consistently attentive to his work and never leaving things unfinished. Ouyang Huihui often angered him, but he was still willing to help with her treatment after finding out she had health issues.
Luo Ziling didn’t let Ouyang Feifei come to pick him up, saying he would go to her place at the appointed time.
After considering for a few seconds, Ouyang Feifei also agreed to Luo Ziling’s request and didn’t insist on meeting at the school gate anymore.
After class, Luo Ziling didn’t pay attention to the other three guys and ran back to his dormitory first.
Cao Jianhui had originally wanted to drag Luo Ziling out for a meal, but seeing him run off, figured he must be going to deal with some woman-related trouble and didn’t give it much mind. He told the other two guys that they would interrogate Luo Ziling when he returned, to find out where he’d gone and how he was going to deal with all these women’s troublesome matters.
After running back to the dormitory in a hurry, Luo Ziling grabbed the prepared items and dashed out again.
Just as he left the dormitory, he received a message from Yang Qingyin saying she was heading to the new apartment and asked when Luo Ziling would arrive. “Maybe, we’ll meet at the elevator,” Luo Ziling replied to the message before breaking into another run.
He really wasn’t wrong, as they happened to run into each other right at the elevator door.
It wasn’t exactly at the door, as Yang Qingyin had reached there first and entered the elevator. Just as she was about to close the door, Luo Ziling hurried over, and they ended up riding the elevator together.
Seeing Luo Ziling huffing and puffing, Yang Qingyin couldn’t help but laugh, “Junior, what did you do? You can barely catch your breath. I know even after running ten kilometers, you wouldn’t be gasping like this. Did you do something bad and are being chased by the police?”
“How could that be?” Luo Ziling glared irritably at the laughing Yang Qingyin, “It’s all because I was worried a certain senior sister would be upset waiting too long, so I had to run all the way here, nearly running out of breath.”
“Hmph,” seeing Luo Ziling like this, Yang Qingyin felt very satisfied inside, yet her voice still huffed with a hint of annoyance, “Certain junior brother seems a little guilty, working hard at something, trying to make up for something.”
“Of course,” Luo Ziling didn’t deny it, “A certain senior sister got jealous, and I was really anxious, so I had to rush over in a panic.”
While saying this, Luo Ziling miraculously pulled out a small bottle of vinegar from his pocket and handed it to Yang Qingyin, “I just happened to see vinegar for sale at a roadside store, so I bought a bottle on impulse, here, have this for dinner. Eat a little more tonight.”
“Annoying junior brother, you’re driving me crazy, just wait till I deal with you later!” Yang Qingyin waved her fists, somewhat infuriated as she yelled at Luo Ziling. “Do you know you’ve crossed the line!”
