VILLAIN MMORPG: ALMIGHTY DEVIL EMPEROR AND HIS SEVEN DEMONIC WIVES

The eerie shuffle of footsteps and low groans echoed around them, growing louder and louder. Allen’s eyes scanned the shadows. It didn’t take long for the undead priests and monks to start crawling out from all directions. They emerged from the cracks in the walls, slipping out of hidden crevices, and shambled down the staircases in droves. Hollow, glowing eyes fixed on them.
Allen didn’t flinch. His eyes narrowed as he summoned his buff skill.
“Demonic Aura.”
A dark, oppressive energy surged from his body in thick waves. The effect was immediate.

“Let’s get started,” he muttered under his breath. He drew his sword with a swift motion, summoning another skill.
‘Hellfire Rain.’
Dark flames shot from the ceiling like molten meteors, creating a fiery perimeter around the group. The flames sizzled and roared, keeping the horde at bay.
Jane was the first to jump into action. Her hands shot up, fingers dancing in the air as she summoned her undead minions with a flick of her wrist. Her Necromancy skill brought skeletal warriors to life—bony hands gripping rusty weapons as they charged into the mass of cursed monks and priests.
Vivian’s eyes gleamed with seductive light. She activated her Charm skill, and several of the undead immediately turned on each other, driven mad by her magic. It was chaos as the cursed monks and priests hacked into their own ranks, taking chunks out of the horde from within.
Bella, standing on the edge of Allen’s hellfire perimeter, summoned an icy storm with a sharp wave of her hand. The air around her dropped in temperature, and her Ice Spell took form, freezing some of the undead in place and slowing the rest to a crawl. She grinned, satisfied with her handiwork. “Let’s see how they handle being on ice,” she quipped.
Zoe wasn’t far behind, her hands glowing with magic as she unleashed a massive wave with her Tsunami skill. A wall of water slammed into the horde like a tidal wave, sweeping the monsters away from their defensive line and buying them even more space.
Alice cast her Curse Skill, sending dark tendrils of energy snaking through the crowd. Wherever the tendrils touched, the undead staggered, weakened by the hexes she cast. Their limbs shook, their attacks faltered. It was like watching a horde of puppets with their strings cut.
Shea, standing further back, unleashed her signature attack—blade-like feathers flying through the air in a deadly arc. Any monster her feathers touched collapsed in a heap.
Then there was Larissa, with her trademark sadistic smirk. She activated her Blood Manipulation skill, twisting the very blood inside the undead. With a clench of her fist, several cursed monks froze in place, their blood boiling under her control until it burst from their bodies in gruesome fashion.
“Such fragile little things,” she muttered darkly, watching with satisfaction as they crumpled to the ground.
Despite the overwhelming number of enemies, none of them seemed fazed. They knew as long as they stayed inside the fiery perimeter and avoided the cursed attacks, they had the upper hand. The undead horde might have been larger than expected, but their attacks—though dangerous due to their negative status effects—were nothing they couldn’t handle.
The only real challenge was the sheer number of them, but even that didn’t seem to worry anyone. In fact, the team looked more entertained than anything.
Jane couldn’t help herself. She started singing, her voice unnervingly cheerful given the situation.
“Grind, grind, grind away,
Monsters all day long,
Gain that EXP, level up,
Now you’re getting strong!”
She giggled between attacks, twirling her finger as she cast Bone Wall to block a small wave of undead from getting too close. Her skeletal minions kept pushing through the horde, slicing through the cursed monks.
Bella groaned loudly, dramatically clutching her head. “Oh God, Jane’s turning into another Allen!”
Alice pointed at Jane with mock horror. She grinned. “Witch! You’re that singer witch we just read about!”
Zoe snickered, tossing a monk with her tentacle. “Look at this, a witch accusing someone else of being a witch. Classic.”
Vivian couldn’t resist chiming in. “Technically, necromancers are kind of witches, too.”
Even Allen, despite being focused on mowing through the enemies with his Dark Orbs, couldn’t help but laugh at their banter. “Hey! Creepy nursery rhymes are my thing. Don’t steal my signature act!”
Shea, deflecting a cursed monk’s attack with her blade feathers, just shook her head with a sigh. “Why does it feel like we’re sitting in a cafe, chatting, instead of fighting off a horde of undead?”
Larissa sidestepped an incoming attack, her blood tendrils impaling a cursed priest mid-air. “Probably because Jane’s turning a horror scene into a damn musical,” she remarked dryly.
“We just need some animals to dance around us, and we’ll have officially turned into a bunch of fairytale princesses,” Bella joked, summoning dozens of fire balls to the new horde.
Shea chuckled. “More like a twisted version of a dark opera at this point.”
Larissa grinned, her blood tendrils coiling and slicing through the cursed beings with precise, deadly grace. “Yeah, I’d say we’re starring in the world’s most morbid musical. A far cry from a fairytale, that’s for sure.”
Jane’s eyes lit up with mischief at the mention of a dark opera. “Hey, that’s a great idea!” she exclaimed, her voice rising above the clamor of battle. “All I need now is a Tenor*,” she added dramatically, her eyes darting toward Allen with a sly grin.
Allen paused only for a moment, raising an eyebrow at Jane. “I don’t know how to sing opera,” he said, his voice deadpan, “but I can certainly sing in The Devil Emperor’s style.” His tone shifted into something darker.
*Tenors in opera frequently take the leading male role in opera.
