Chapter 1698: Mystic Tier

Villain Ch 1698. Mystic Tier

Its glass wings flared—trying to cut him off.

But Allen summoned Demonic Lances—three black spears circled and slammed into the wings mid-beat.

-Crash!

Shards of color and corrupted scripture exploded outward like a cathedral dying mid-hymn.

The titan shrieked again. Metal howled.

Allen climbed higher.

He reached the base of its neck—where the core pulsed under semi-translucent bone-mechanical plating.

And then—

-WHAM!

A beam of holy fire blasted from the titan’s mouth, narrowly missing him—but melting a section of the wall and part of Allen’s shoulder guard.

The heat ripped across his skin. He hissed through gritted teeth.

“That all you got?” he growled, hanging on.

He stabbed down hard with his sword—using it to anchor himself—then conjured a Hellfire Rain.

The sky above the cathedral glowed red.

Dozens of fire lances rained down, pelting the titan’s upper body in a cacophony of infernal light.

The room trembled.

[Titan HP: 41% -> 35%]

“Almost there…”

The titan twisted wildly, trying to shake him off.

Allen’s grip faltered.

The sudden tilt of its body threw off his balance—he slid down its shoulder, catching a jutting chunk of armor mid-fall.

His sword dangled in his other hand.

It swiped.

Allen kicked off the side of its arm just before impact, flipping backward—then landed hard, cracking the ground beneath his feet. His sword buried into the floor just beside him.

His knees bent.

He breathed.

A moment.

One breath.

Then he stood again.

Behind him, the girls screamed spells and laughter as chaos danced around them.

“Back to it,” he muttered.

He charged again.

This time—the titan responded in kind.

Its fist raised—and pounded the floor toward him like a divine hammer.

Allen didn’t dodge.

He met it.

He summoned his Abyssal Descent—the ground around him split open like the earth had been pulled inside out.

Darkness exploded upward in an inverted column.

The titan’s hand struck the descent and was thrown back, exploding with cursed force.

Allen launched off the impact, blade glowing red with Demonic Aura, his body flickering in afterimages.

He pierced into the titan’s upper abdomen and began climbing inside.

The corrupted relics fused into this thing groaned, but gave way.

He moved like death made of muscle and shadow.

“Let’s end this—”

The core was glowing just ahead. Barely contained by bone and steel.

He pulled his sword back. Every nerve in his body screamed.

But he grinned.

“I told you,” he whispered.

Then—he stabbed.

Direct hit.

The core pulsed violently. Cracks webbed across its surface. Energy spilled out like the blood of a god.

[Core Integrity: 35% -> 19%]

The entire cathedral shuddered.

Then collapsed to one knee.

Outside, the girls saw it.

“He’s doing it!” Jane yelled, raising a bone wall to block one final trap that tried to decapitate Vivian.

“Finish it, Allen!” Zoe screamed. “We’ve cleared everything else!”

Allen didn’t hear them.

He was standing on the edge of the core, chest heaving, coat torn, blood running down his brow. His demonic form shimmered.

There was still light inside the core. Still hate.

Still the voice—

“She was mine.”

Allen raised his blade one final time.

“No.”

He stabbed again.

And this time…

He didn’t stop.

Allen’s blade didn’t slice—it devoured. The moment it sank into the core, it dragged the fury of everything he was straight into that cursed heart. Abyssal power surged down the hilt and erupted into the glowing orb like a flood. The core resisted. It howled. It tried to push him back with holy fire, with psychic shrieks, with memories that weren’t his—but Allen pushed harder.

Cracks spidered out from the wound. Every pulse of light dimmed into a flicker. The titan began to tremble.

Its head jerked back violently, letting out a distorted scream, half-man, half-cathedral. Its halberd arm swung wide, trying to bat him away one last time.

Allen ducked under it without even looking.

His focus was on the core.

“Your story ends here,” he muttered, voice low, ragged. “You don’t get to call that love.”

He drove the blade in deeper.

The core ruptured.

Like a sun imploding.

The light imploded into itself, then burst outward with a shuddering wave of black and gold, as if every curse and hymn trapped in the room was screaming and sighing at once. The titan staggered, arms flailing wide, then slowly… crumpled to its knees.

Its spine snapped.

Its head cracked open like a rusted bell.

Then—with one last shiver—it collapsed.

-Boom!

The entire cathedral shook under the weight of it. Dust and ash shot up like smoke from an impact crater.

Silence followed.

Allen remained crouched by the core’s shattered husk, blade buried in what remained of its hollow chest.

His arms were trembling. The demonic glow around him flickered like a dying candle.

Behind him, the girls stood among broken traps and shattered walls, panting.

Larissa leaned on her claws. “…You dead?” she joked.

Allen looked over his shoulder, lips twitching. “Not yet.”

Vivian flopped dramatically onto a crumbled pillar. “That was the ugliest wedding I’ve ever attended,” she huffed.

Jane wiped sweat off her brow with a bony glove. “Glad I didn’t wear white,” she added.

Shea fell onto her knees beside Zoe, who was busy crushing one last stubborn trap that hadn’t gotten the memo. “Okay. Now I’m tired.”

A soft system chime echoed overhead.

“Hell yeah,” Bella said, eyes lighting up. “Jackpot.”

“Oh, I got the Mythic Tier thing,” Allen announced.

Vivian whistled. “Okay. That’s probably worth more than my entire wardrobe.”

Jane crossed her arms. “Mythic tier? That sounds cursed.”

Alice flipped her hair. “He attracts cursed items like a sad hot trash magnet.”

Allen finally pulled his blade free and stood.

He was about to say something when—
